Dude this is so sick. I was thinking about a grey cerakote but this fde is 🔥. I’m so excited for mine to come in. I wish it was more ar compatible with the trigger/bolt at least. I contacted HBI industry to hopefully make more parts; a longer handguard for instance, aluminum lower and hopefully 1913 to changeout the stock maybe. I truly believe the PWS UXR is what this should have been but for the price of it I’m content. Although now that I think about it a PSA JAKL would have been a better purchase.
Not sure why all you tubers compares these type weapons to ARs. They are not marketed as such if you want a AR them buy a AR don’t buy something that is not and then bitch cause its not a AR!!
Not sold on the Carmel. I love my Tavor 7 and my Gen 1 Galil Ace. But the Carmel sold in the US is way different and I'm not sure it even has an Isreali made barrel. Honestly those barrels are magic. Both my Tavor 7 and Galil Ace have had a lot of rounds through them and they look new through a bore cam. Unlike my DD or BCM CHF barrels that have equivalent round counts. It's definitely a vibe but I'd go for a Sig or CZ over it for that vibe. An thats from an IWI fan. Personally I'd like to find a gen 1 Ace rifle in 5.56. Love my sort barreled 7.62-39 but 5.56 is much more convenient now or days.

I appreciate the stability of the +8 lbs. so, "heavy/pig" isn't a constraint, (and I have an OCL OCM5 in F4 flow). I don't "think" that IWI had CQ use case as a design intent because their Tavor and Galil address that space. Paramount of importance prior to adoption of any system is to honestly assess your intended application/use case. Respect/regards.
