Great video man. You seem like you have alot of knowledge on these motors. Im looking to do some sort of hemi swap into my 05 ram that currently has a 4.7l v8. And suggestions on what year motor and trans would be good for that truck. It will mostly be ised for towing a race car through the mountains
p.s. if you want a video fixing an exhaust leak let me know. I think mine is causing some false knock/rattle. Dealer had to remove the driver side cat to remove the stripped tcase fill plug and I am not sure if that is the issue or a broken exhaust mani stud.

Main clearance? Rod clearance? Ring gap? when were these checked?
They were all checked, adjusted, and marked by the machine shop along with crank end play. I rechecked everything before install off camera
Do you guys think it’s possible to build a reliable 454 from a 392 block ?
Modern Muscle Xtreme sells a 454 short block engine that’s based off the 392.

The exhaust manifold bolts are notorious for breaking on any FCA 8 cylinder unfortunately
