Hey man, I’m local to you and I had just bought a 2016 Jeep SRT that had a factory motor but was procharged. I drove it 1,100 miles here to Denver from North Carolina and it didn’t skip a beat. It was scheduled for a tune from the same shop that you went to and everything seemed fine but then I made the mistake of asking them to “look at” a noise I heard from the bottom end. They told me they would just lift it up in the air and check it out. I ended up being charged $2000 on top of the tune because they told me they went ahead and replaced the exhaust without my approval from a newer SRT they had sitting in the shop that the guy initially told me he would charge $200 for. That wasn’t even the worst part, the motor blew up less than a week later, only 200 miles were put on it from when I got the tune from them. I bought a 426 stroker and swapped it into the jeep. I took it to J&S performance who gave me the best tune as well as customer service I could ask for. I just wanted to share my experience. The shop we both ended up going to has a HORRIBLE reputation and J&S says that they have a lot of people come to them after getting screwed by that shop. Good luck!

@@JoshShare I totally feel your pain dude. When so much time and effort goes into building a car and it's not quite 100% I know how frustrating it is.
I also know the grief of constantly dealing with shitty businesses/tradesmen... I had a garage door fitted recently and the job was shocking. I still had to pay the guy because he came up with loads of excuses. Annoying because had I been in slightly better health, I would have done the job myself... Instead I had to pay for a rookie job. Very frustrating.

As they say, treat someone like how you'd like to be treated. Many don't care and take it just as a quota and bare minimum. With that said, it's really hard to find someone you can trust, is dependable, will do it right the first time. Not like how they would fix something but change or break something else to get the car back and charge more, especially diagnostic fees.

I don't remember the torque but my 2013 Jeep SRT made like 380hp factory tune and then jumped to 403hp with a tune by a local shop in here in Texas. Also it was in the heat of summer. Just had AFE exhaust and catless mids. But I think my torque number was just under the hp number.

I made 395/395 on my factory motor and tune. I got 390/427 on the built motor and “pro” tune. I lowered the compression from 14:1 to 9:1 to accommodate for boost but it shouldn’t feel slower than factory

What a crazy situation, you have a great heart & kind demeanor Bro don't let this crap get you down, some people just don't get it. On a lighter note I like the tone of that exhaust , but mite be a little loud for the little one If sitting in the back & if you have "Any" Drone noise it will drive you nuts as did my Roush Racing exhaust on the Mustang.
And now to that Jeep carbon fiber trim pieces in the SRT is going in the ditch! you know especially the one over the glove box it's a friggin nightmare..are you still thinking on making the Trim piece yourself? I'm definitely not replacing it again as it keeps doing it..this was replaced once under Warranty and twice for the adhesive film. We Appreciate you Bro & the content you create . Cheers .

Yeah it’s an unfortunate situation. But at least my business is concluded with that shop. The exhaust doesn’t drone at all off throttle on the highway but wide open throttle definitely gets some attention. As far as the trim goes, I’m not worried about it at the moment.

BTW I had the noise as well. I had to get the OEM springs that connect to the connection pipes.
When I installed my catback I didn’t add the springs and after I installed the long tube headers the exhaust was rubbing on the front diff I believe…
After I installed the springs and bolts to the catback it was gone.
The noise almost sounded like a binding noise where I thought it was the diff going back or a cv joint

I have heard more bad than good from that tuner. I was going to do them originally when I got it to Colorado. The guys that tuned my Jeep are great however with the rpm act BS they have kinda stopped tuning anything new. What is the tuner you are running, my guys can’t and wont run a Jeep on the dyno due to the awd system and don’t want to even chance it so its only drive tuned. Running 7.5lbs of boost on a completely stock motor. With crap heavy runflats I’m almost in the 12’s at bandimere

It literally sucks when you can’t trust a shop that’s “dependable”. Most of the time it’s better to do it yourself, and if not just get guidance on what it is and then working on it yourself 😂 But I’d say disclose the shops name. Everyone should get to know the good and the bad side of some of these shops. As far as tuning, go with someone that is well known in the Mopar world to even remote tune it, might even be better like that going off a emailed file than someone that is “highly recommended”. Hope everything works out and can’t wait for more content !
