I love how the solo was so undeniably Metallica but still sounded like SlipKnot, this was amazing man!
Some of Jim's guitar solos for Slipknot and Stone Sour have Metallica vibes so I definitely agree with you! One good example of a Metallica sounding Slipknot guitar solo is the guitar solo for Nomadic from .5 The Gray Chapter 🤘🏻

Nailed it! It also kinda sounds like Stone Sour’s first album… especially the solo! Think Get Inside. Which makes sense when you think about it because Corey even said Stone Sour was more of a Metallica meets Alice In Chains influence.
This sounded pretty great, I didnt know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised.
Gotta admit. First thought I was skeptical this wouldn’t be good. Then upon your explanation I was excited. And the execution was flawless dude! Amazing work as always! 🤘🏻
