I really liked Death Magnetic. It really does have the same rhythm. The guys experimented outside of their thrash years, bringing the “load” albums. I thought both were good as they were working into different molds.
Honestly, it sounds like something Metallica would've recorded on either Death Magnetic or Hardwired. You can pretty much lay the vocals of "All Nightmare Long" on top of that and it would probably work.
The St. Anger style definitely works better for Psychosocial, but this is some Death Magnetic shit. Amazing work. Also, SOAD in the style of RatB-era Mushroomhead would work really well, I think.
The breakdown was the part I was most curious to hear your take on, and it turned out to be my favorite part-you took one of the least-Metallica things in the original and made it sound so completely like Metallica that I would have believed it if I’d been told it was part of an unreleased track of theirs.
Regardless of it sounding like Metallica (which I'm a huge fan of, but I digress lol) that is a pretty kick ass sounding riff lol, well done! That's awesome
0:43 off-topic makes me think about Quake 2 soundtrack, it has that crisp fuzzy kind of sound to it, that may have been inspired by the late 80s thrash metal bands.
Love to see things like "Guitar Left 59" It makes me feel that I am not the only one who ends up with that amount of takes (or so many snippets of songs)
Definitely sounds like something that would have been on Hardwired. I'm digging it. I think Psychosocial would also sound good in Master of Puppets style. Love your what if videos, so good.
great job transforming the song!!! This reminds me of a video I saw yesterday where a dude transformed Master of puppets into a muse song (with singing)
That's awesome! Psychosocial is one of my favorites of Slipknot too. And we can't deny that's it sounds like hardwired. Great 😅🤟🏻 BTW, you look a bit like Ola Englund and I noticed the white Solar guitar, fun fact 😅 Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭
This is sounds so cool :D You took a song i love and revamped it (really well) in a style i love, what more can you ask for! + i kinda also like Lars, you've gotta admire his drive
And the Yeeeheaah will Ooh us all-ah! Throw ourselves against the the waaall-ah! But no one else can seee-AH! The Yeh-heeah of the BEER and meeee-y-eee-aaHH!
Ooooh Yeeeaaaah!!! :)
Dope dope dope
That 100% sounds like something that could have been written by Metallica! Well done 🤘🏻
Lol James Hetfield=Mr. Koolaid
you should get Leo to sing over this lol
@@torind2000 YES
Sounds like an unused demo from Death Magnetic, I LOVE IT!!!
I really liked Death Magnetic. It really does have the same rhythm. The guys experimented outside of their thrash years, bringing the “load” albums. I thought both were good as they were working into different molds.
I totally agree.
I listened to it with closed eyes and my first thought was "Death Magnetic".
And it Sounds great, indeed.
If I wouldnt have known this was psychosocial I would have literally thought this was a Metallica song and a good one LOL
It reminds me "All nightmare long"
100% came to the comments to write this
Honestly, it sounds like something Metallica would've recorded on either Death Magnetic or Hardwired. You can pretty much lay the vocals of "All Nightmare Long" on top of that and it would probably work.
Definitely sounds like something off of DM
I thought the same. Sounds like it belongs in Death Magnetic :-)
kinda sounds like a puppets song maybe too
I was leaning Hardwired but the longer I listened, yeah, DM. Cheers 🍻
Yup, Sounds like a Death magnetic song for sure
The only thing this cover is missing is someone doing the lyrics on James style. This is fire man
Damn i'd love to try that
Jeeeeeh! haha
Some one call up Leo from Frog Leap Studios.
the preservation of the martyr in maaaayAH
Ask Anthony, he sure will do it :D
Yeaaa
You did such a good job turning it into a Metallica song, I could barely tell it was psychosocial.
It's what? No... That's unreleased Metallica... *Questions reality*
There’s got to be a james hetfield impressionist that could do the vocals right? This is sick
BLAKE ARENDELL!
That guy who remastered a whole St. Anger album
@@DEvil5951 Re-recorded*
I gave it a shot on my latest upload, if you check it out, let me know how I did! 🤘🏻
Matt Heafy is very good at that and he is a youtuber.
So cool that you added in a key change to F# because that really is classic Metallica
Yeah, it just instantly sounds like something from Death Magnetic or Hardwired. Thanks for watching! :)
The St. Anger style definitely works better for Psychosocial, but this is some Death Magnetic shit. Amazing work.
Also, SOAD in the style of RatB-era Mushroomhead would work really well, I think.
The snare is literally perfect for it
Listen to "my plague" (slipknot) and "invisible kid" back to back
I can practically hear James going YEYEEEAAAHHHHH and OUGHHHH in my head when listening to the full version, haha. Great rendition!
That “breakdown” part is honestly sick af 🤘🏻
This sounds sooo different, i would have never noticed that its psychosocial
That's the beauty of music and artistry in general. So many ways you can reinvent things
I honestly hope that someone from both bands see this. This is too awesome.
This is so sick, totally sounds like Metallica, death magnetic sounding FOR SURE I love it
You got me I’m curious
That was fire 🔥
The breakdown was the part I was most curious to hear your take on, and it turned out to be my favorite part-you took one of the least-Metallica things in the original and made it sound so completely like Metallica that I would have believed it if I’d been told it was part of an unreleased track of theirs.
Your right the break down was sick!!
Sounds like THAT WAS JUST YOUR LIFE end pre-chorus
You totally nailed that... from tone to the feeling of the riffs ..
Respect
Imagine this exact rework but with the justice tone
Oooo
With or without bass?
@@SpidermanandJeny with bass
Great job, mate! it really does sound like something from AJFA (Blackened specifically)
I was thinking AJFA as well. Get a feeling of Damage Inc…
the way he shifts tempo in the chorus reminds me a lot of Dyers Eve's chorus
you're a GENIUS man, what i hear is exactly what i'd expect from the video title
hi Isaac
This is cool! I'd love to see more, maybe Slayer and Periphery? That'd be wild
I love this format as s series. I'd love to see some Necrophagist, Gojira and Sikth thrown in at some point.
Regardless of it sounding like Metallica (which I'm a huge fan of, but I digress lol) that is a pretty kick ass sounding riff lol, well done! That's awesome
2:55 that one higher note has a really interesting ajfo type of sound imo
4:26 that was just your life 🤘🤘
0:43 off-topic makes me think about Quake 2 soundtrack, it has that crisp fuzzy kind of sound to it, that may have been inspired by the late 80s thrash metal bands.
I played the 72 Seasons bass line over the main riff of this and it fit perfectly
reminds me of this punk band i saw in 2001 ,cant remember name but never forget a lick. gj!
Been waiting forever for another Pete classic..awesome job again buddy 🤘🏼😈🤘🏼
This definitely sounds like something from death magnetic. Reminds me a lot of all nightmare long for sure
I hadn't listened to the original song so that riff reminds me of metallica old days so much!
PERFECTION! I can't think of anyway this could have been done better! You've outdone yourself Pete!
Love to see things like "Guitar Left 59" It makes me feel that I am not the only one who ends up with that amount of takes (or so many snippets of songs)
haha, indeed, so close to what we can imagine the Mets would play there.
Awesome work Pete, as always!!!
Super sick, Pete!
The "limits of the dead" part sounds so good in Metallica's style, change my mind
The genuine genius behind this reimagining in astounding. What an amazing job mate seriously!
Just Awesome mate!!!
sounds like load and hardwired to self destruct
Honestly, reminded me a little of Damage Inc. loved it. Keep ‘em coming.
I heard the same thing. It made my inner 12 year old all giddy.
Not a Metallica fan but i love what you did here. Wicked playing
The breakdown was fxxking awesome
Tight like a Tiger… awesome Riffing 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I was really unsure how this would work but I actually really like it
3:18 i swear i could hear James whisper "damage incorporated"
Wow. Def gonna share this with my friends. Awesome take on a great song
I was singing Damage on this tune..
Great Work man!!
Totally appreciate..❤️🔥
fhat is just broootal!! love what you did with the bass guitar! ;)
Definitely sounds like something that would have been on Hardwired. I'm digging it. I think Psychosocial would also sound good in Master of Puppets style. Love your what if videos, so good.
Thanks! :)
Very Death Magnetic sounding.
Brilliant performance

You have once again successfully captured the very essence of a band. You are incredible at this, really!
great job transforming the song!!!
This reminds me of a video I saw yesterday where a dude transformed Master of puppets into a muse song (with singing)
That was really good
Can't wait for more videos like that
It sounds like something from Death Magnetic, love it
Wow! This is fantastic! 👍
Man this sounds so much like Blackened to me. You really nailed the sound
Good job.
Maybe add a Cliff Burton bass solo to the breakdown.
Metallica's best thrash always had a brutal bass sound.
A Metallica breakdown brother would be the "OOOhhhhh Yeaahh Heaahhh" section in Fuel from Reload!
This kicks some serious ass
As the song startet, i kinde heard a Hardwired out of it. And I love it
Right enjoyed this before work man excellent 👍🏻
I'd say metallica does do breakdowns but it's mostly in fight fire with fire and it's subtle
You make it look so effortless. Masterfull.
During the verse i was singing the melody from the first song on Death Magnetic, i think you nailed the vibe!
Amazing tone, great work as always Pete. Can we please get someone to do James's vocals on top of this?!?!
AWESOME!
great work, thanks for the effort!
Wow, this is spot on!
This defo sounds like something that could have been on Hardwired! Solid effort!
That breakdown was so cool
This is dope. I love it. If only slipknot did went standard tuning but I love how slipknot sounds
That was even MORE kickass!! Keep 'em coming!
Feels like a mix between battery and damage inc.
this is ridiculously spot on... great job brother who haha....
That's awesome! Psychosocial is one of my favorites of Slipknot too. And we can't deny that's it sounds like hardwired. Great 😅🤟🏻 BTW, you look a bit like Ola Englund and I noticed the white Solar guitar, fun fact 😅 Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭
sounds reallyy original. amazing
Holy shit this is bad ass. Great job!
Not only did you hit the target with this one, you absolutely destroyed it. Amazing job dude!
sonds like if "battery" and "that was just your life" had a baby... maybe
NAILED IT!
Awesome job 🤘🏻
Dang! That sounded so much like Metallica. Great job Pete!
This is good snitzel, like u allways deliver. Keep the videos coming 🤘🤘🤘
well done, sir!
Metallica already did that w/ their song "invisible kid". Listen to "my plague" off of Slipknot's Iowa album
Great job, man. You nailed it.
What a lovely song.
Ask Leo from Frog Leap to add vocals and this should be a perfect DM song. Cheers, man!
That's pretty damn cool dude
That is amazing. I would listen to this all day.
Wow Pete! Great work!! Love the tone \m/
Man lars and joey are on a another level
Sounds straight from Hardwired great stuff man!
Awesome 👏🏻
Damn dude that‘s fucking awesome! Would be sick if Papa Het sang over this 🤘🏻😁🤘🏻
Yeah everything sounds like something from Death Magnetic - except solo - it's a mixture between DM and song Psychosocial :D
So cool man 👌 Please more of that!
