I just love you guys! I recently visited a dermatologist and was highly disappointed. Saw the NP...not the specialist...and had a basic cancer scan of face and body. Less than 10 minutes and no discussion of my skin issues. $170 out of pocket and no help whatsoever. I've learned so much more about taking care of my skin from you guys. Too bad I'm in California or I'd see you in a heartbeat
This is pretty typical. They are trained in diseases and disorders. If you want great skincare advice seek out an experienced, highly rated, esthetician. 😊
A 10 min appointment is pretty standard. It’s not realistic to compare an in office visit to a 15-20 minute RUclips video by a dermatologist that does educational content on social media. They can’t give a 20 minute break down of how a retinoids work in the skin when they prescribe you tretinoin, for example. Consider these videos supplemental. And yes, it can be expensive but you’re paying for their expertise (all the years of studying and hands on training). If they can get it right in a 10 minute appointment, and most well-trained dermatologists can, then it shouldn’t really matter the length of time.
I've had the same experience. And had asked questions about skin care. The NP even could not diagnose a very long ingrown hair on my neck. She saidshe didn'tknow what it was.😊
You visited a NP(nurde practitioner) not a dermatologist(MD person who has given usmle.) Please keep in mind that hre care provided will be extremely different as the training given is. For context I would suggest googling USMLE alone to get a better idea of what a MD actually is. As you said yourself she wasnt a specialist. All the best for your worries.

I am SO impressed at Remedy for pore size. I’m in my late 30s and I have struggled with incredibly large pores on my nose and the sides of nose thanks to my oily skin. Congratulations! No one gets criticized for looking after their health, unless it’s their skin health. I think the phrase anti-aging has a lot to do with that. This is why I’ve always seen my skincare as healthy aging. I have eczema, no one would criticize me for taking care of my skin because of that. However, if I’m trying to keep my skin as strong and as possible, using something with “anti-aging written on it, all of a sudden I’m considered vain. Hi Dr. Shah and Dr. Maxfield! I’ve been following your videos for years and absolutely trust your advice, so I was super excited to try your product. I bought it on Amazon, but unfortunately, the pump doesn’t work, and there’s no way to open the bottle to get the product out. I saw the reviews mentioning this issue but still gave it a shot-sadly, I’m facing the same problem and now have to return it. I’m really disappointed because I was so looking forward to using it. I hope this packaging issue gets resolved because I know how great your formulations are!
Hi! Ugh I’m sorry that happened. Have you tried to prime the pump by pressing 7-8 times? If you tried that and it still doesn’t work, that means your pump wasn’t tightened properly when they assembled it. Can you email hello@remedyskin.com ? We’ll get it sorted ASAP. I found that remedy for body bumps really helps with dry skin on hands and feet. Before I had very dry skin and had to re-apply multiple times a day. I would even wake up at night to use lotion on my hands and feet. Then I started using remedy for bumps every single day after shower. 2-3 weeks later I noticed that I stopped re-applying almost altogether! I did not use hand cream at work anymore even once or at night. Then I ran out of the product and 2 weeks later I am back to square one - I am dry! Luckily, I checked today for a new product (ordered immediately while getting ready for work) and remedy for bumps was back in stock, so I again grabbed a bottle. And now I know what to get for the holidays for my "dryest" friends!

I have a lot of allergies and finally, someone who doesn’t believe fragrance has to be a part of skin care. It’s easy, everything in one and love the self closing top.

Excited to try this one! I’m curious… why include both retinol and retinaldehyde, considering that they both convert to retinoic acid on the skin, the latter being just one conversion step away?

I’ve been following your videos for years and absolutely trust your advice, so I was super excited to try your product. I bought it on Amazon, but unfortunately, the pump doesn’t work, and there’s no way to open the bottle to get the product out. I saw the reviews mentioning this issue but still gave it a shot-sadly, I’m facing the same problem and now have to return it. I’m really disappointed because I was so looking forward to using it. I hope this packaging issue gets resolved because I know how great your formulations are!
Hi! Ugh I’m sorry that happened. Have you tried to prime the pump by pressing 7-8 times? If you tried that and it still doesn’t work, that means your pump wasn’t tightened properly when they assembled it. Can you email hello@remedyskin.com ? We’ll get it sorted ASAP. We fixed the issue with the next lot but still a few units in the supply chain. Thanks for flagging it!

I found that remedy for body bumps really helps with dry skin on hands and feet. Before I had very dry skin and had to re-apply multiple times a day. I would even wake up at night to use lotion on my hands and feet. Then I started using remedy for bumps every single day after shower. 2-3 weeks later I noticed that I stopped re-applying almost altogether! I did not use hand cream at work anymore even once or at night. Then I ran out of the product and 2 weeks later I am back to square one - I am dry! Luckily, I checked today for a new product (ordered immediately while getting ready for work) and remedy for bumps was back in stock, so I again grabbed a bottle.
And now I know what to get for the holidays for my "dryest" friends!

I do like your Dark Spot formula. Would love to purchase the Healthy Aging formula. The only thing that stops me are the acids on the ingredient list. I’m hoping this video will explain why it’s safe to use these acids with retinol.

Thank You for this new one! Love the spot Remedy but it just didn’t have everything I need. I use tretinoin , but can’t use it on my neck. I have a lot of allergies and finally, someone who doesn’t believe fragrance has to be a part of skin care. It’s easy, everything in one and love the self closing top.
