Thanks for this video guys, I’m poor and my skin isn’t in a very good shape (I have hormonal issues) but I can see this helping me at least to restore my skin barrier while I work on my hormonal imbalance.
Several of your recommendations contain niacinamide which causes me to breakout with cystic acne. I am over 60, lived in Manhattan for 30 years and went to some of the finest recommended dermatologists. When the products they chose for me caused breakouts, they all tried to sell me on the idea of purging----to the point of using a product for as long as 4 months. I have learned through my years of product trials that I do not "purge". If I breakout, I will never NOT breakout from the product I am testing. Perhaps some people purge, I never have. Not only did my skin never purge, but it continued to breakout worse and worse. Some drs even accused me of using some other product I was not telling them about along with their recommendation. Several refused to believe that salicylic acid containing products broke me out, two even had me try products containing it without telling me---frankly, lying, that the product contained it. I am sure many of your products are fine, and I will try some of them, but do extensive research first. Did learn a lot from your video.
They all make my face burn, it goes away and it seems fine, but it feels awful putting it on with the painful tingling. Lotion and cream and even the new lotion-gel one that came out also burn. (I have sensitive skin.)
@@DeathtotheAshes I learned the hard way that the best and ONLY way to use Cerave pm lotion without making my skin look like a roasted beetroot (since i use it functionally, as a buffer before tretinoin) -- is to put it on a completely dry skin, 1-2 minutes after patting it totally dry. Works wonders :D And yep, niacinamide is to blame here.
@@DeathtotheAshes on the video one of the doctors said the moisturizer give him a burning sensation bc he has issues with his skin barrier. You should look into products that helps you with restoring your face skin barrier first like babies butt last or vasseline
@@DeathtotheAshes I have combination skin, but my routine used to be really long with lots of products, But now I use the cerave gel cleanser and the moisturizer. It also depends which other skincare products you apply before or after the moisturizer 😀

I also use my gentle cleaners and moisturizers on my body! Sensitive biddie here to a single mama who grew up in reg econ crises and the boom of RUclips. I partly credit my ingenuity to these things! Ty for highlighting Pacifica, I don’t typically see much coverage of them. Thank you for your dedication to skincare education. You’re one of a few channels I follow regularly in this niche and have helped me transform my skin!
This was a great starting point for someone starting out, and reminding the rest of us that there is good skincare out there that’s affordable. Great job, guys!
Thanks for easy. peasy skin care tips! But, can you do a NO NO chemical review of ingredients that we should NOT be using in skin care? And a review of more natural products? I find that hardest to figure out.
I love timeless vitamin c! I love the opaque airless pump too! I have a small apt so I put it in the fridge since I got the 4 oz bottle and it hasn't oxidized in over a few months! It's much cheaper getting the 4 oz bottle.
I’ve been a Curology\Agency customer for 6 years. They slowly increase Trentonin until you arrive at the maximum dose. The low dose is for the free trial, you then open cases with your provider and go up. Just clarifying, my skin looks better at 56 by far than when I started with this company at age 50. Great video, I need to pick up the Timeless.
I used Pacifica lotion when I was going through very rough time of dermatitis and they saved my life!! Couldn’t sleep couldn’t do anything lay or just be. Just wanted to throw that in there and give credit where credit is due

Hello Doctors!! I have a question and two requests! Question: Will Remedy skincare ever be available in Canada? The pore treatment is my one product only dream, feels like a fantasy draft of ingredients!! Request 1: Can you do a version of this video with skincare that you can find at Sephora? I find that the drugstore products you mention I sometimes can't find in Canada, but our Sephora lineups are similar if the beauty RUclipsrs are to be believed! Request 2: Can you please do more haircare videos? I would love to see more scientific explanations on shampoo/conditioner/scalp products/leave-in ingredients to look for and avoid, I feel like I know the facial skin ones but I am often lost about haircare. Thank you both so much for all the work you guys do!! You guys are one of the only RUclips channels I watch consistently (this is only my second-ever comment on RUclips, that's how much I like you guys!) Much love and thanks from Canada!!
Hi there, Between Shopper's drugmart/Pharmaprix, Walmart, Amazon for Timeless and iHerb you can get most of these products. Unfortunately, no curology in Canada, nor the Urban Skin rx. :/ I hear you, fellow Canadian ❤
All good product suggestions. I have just received your Anti-aging Remedy formula which I will use every other night since straight Retin A every night can irritate senior skin. Thanks for focusing on more budget friendly brands and products.
Another great vitamin c serum you can get at Target, Walmart, etc is Cera Ve Skin Renewing Vitamin C Serum. It is 10% ascorbic acid in an airtight tube made of a quality material and it's a really nice formula. I use it on my neck and the Timeless 20% on my face.
La Roche Posay is the real deal .. Effaclar and MelaB cleansers .. also the body milk lipikar+ uria, I get irritation in some body areas especially on summertime I’ve tried it out of the blue .. it works like magic .. plus it doesn’t contain any overpowering smell
Thank you for the videos! They help a lot. As a guy with a patchy beard trying to maintain a skincare routine. I’ve found many videos solely on beard care/beard growth (different oils and minoxidil) and others solely about skincare (skin types and goals). Since there are no two beard-like and there are the different skin types, the information in these videos can be wildly different and confusing. I'm sure you get a lot of requests, but I'm sure many of us would be grateful to see a video on skin care AND beard care/growth! Would that be possible? Thanks for your time! 😊
I love the mineral Vanicream facial sunscreen so much! It's the first sunscreen I've found that I actually can use on my rosacea-prone skin daily that doesn't leave a horrible cast. Goes on a little greasy at first but fully absorbs in 30 mins and super hydrating.

Nighttime same cleanser ( the cream to foam removes everything except waterproof mascara), I prefer the REN vit C toner ( not budget but you need a tiny amount on a cotton round) , if I am using retinol it's the Cerave one and my moisturizer is currently Aveeno gel cream £15 ( unless it's on offer) or ELF gel cream or the basic Cerave.
To be honest, I didn’t expect much from the subliminal affirmations on borlest, but my skin has improved so much. I’ve had fewer breakouts and it’s looking clearer every day. So happy I found this!"
I'm a fan of the Vanicream SPF 30 and the Moisturizing Lotion 🥰 The sunscreen applies very nicely with a nice matte finish. Another favorite I use is the Neutrogena Ultra Gentle fragrance free cleanser. Thank you both for sharing and caring 😊
I’m 57 & would like a day routine that’s easy (minimal) with tinted moisturizer/sunscreen & then an evening routine that can be more intense. Maybe low (budget friendly) middle of the road & then high end ( but products you honestly believe are worth it) ❤
I appreciate you guys considering budget products! I switched from regular tretinoin to your Script version a couple of weeks ago and really like the texture of it. My sensitive skin even does well with it on clean skin. And my Remedy lip balm showed up today, so I’m very excited about that!

Canada requires that the percentages of active ingredients be listed, so you can look up the Canadian packaging and see that
The United States is pretty unregulated Wild West when it comes to chemicals. They give companies free reign to do wherever they need
Percentages aren't listed, but it's required on ALL ingredients - drugs, beauty products, foods, etc. - they be listed by highest to lowest quantities. So, a bottle of commercial "fruit punch" will always list water as the first ingredient, and the last ingredient contains the least.

You know your body best!
I can confirm the cerave moisturizer is the best
👌🏽
I was hoping that you could let us know more about the under eye product, especially for hollowed and genetic dark circles
Vanicream cleanser is absolutely amazing! Even in the days that I have some irritation in my skin because of Retinol, Vanicream is gentle with my skin. Less than $10 and lasts months!
Agree.....🎉🎉🎉
A skin care recommended by these two doctors on a friendly budget . Oh thank you so much. I try to avoid wasting money. A fool and his money are soon parted. Think of how we can pay it forward with the spare money!💕
I’ve been using Aveeno baby lotion on my face and body for YEARS. I get a lot of compliments on my skin. 😊
This was a great starting point for someone starting out, and reminding the rest of us that there is good skincare out there that’s affordable. Great job, guys!
These two…..so glad I found you on You Tube. Great info, experience, and easy on the eyes to boot!
Thanks for easy. peasy skin care tips! But, can you do a NO NO chemical review of ingredients that we should NOT be using in skin care? And a review of more natural products? I find that hardest to figure out.
You a both very informative, with a great sense of humor! Thank you for the videos!
Tip with the Vanicream sunscreen. I will apply it, then let it sit for a couple minutes and gently rub it in again. Gets rid of all white cast for me.
Thank you.
I started using Tretinoin and moisturizer by night just because I realized im saving so much money and it works so good honestly
Oh, I’ve got one for you that is tried and true by older women with great skin everywhere. Ponds cold cream-their skin often looks as good as yours does. And I’ve had multiple people recently also swear by this in a Facebook group I’m in.
Surprised you guys didn't include Cerave's Night Cream instead of the PM lotion. The cream has peptides!!! ❤❤❤
This should go viral! Perfect to get people into skincare, especially men
This is awesome! You two are the best! I was recently putting together a skincare routine for my dad, who I discovered had been using basic bar soap for everything, and it was challenging to find the right products at prices that wouldn’t make him gasp so he would purchase again. And I agree with others, please consider doing a video with an affordable routine for body care products! 🎉😁
I would LOVE to learn your take on the Dollar Tree products for skincare!
I completely agree about finding moisturizer in store being difficult. Idk why but it’s always the longest shop for me!
Love the Vanicream cleanser! It lasts a long time and has a great light clean feel without being too dry. Now I need to try the sunscreen😊
Thanks for this video for not everyone needs pimple patches, but many are on a budget.
Remedy for dark spots is a great all-in-1. Worth it. Highly recommend.
I used a whole bottle & it lasted about 2 months. I didn’t see any difference. I was disappointed
@@patriciaenglish1027I’m not even finished with my bottle and i have my melisma on one side has lightened so much its so gentle to use no irritation for me
@@patriciaenglish1027 typically treatments take about 12 weeks to start seeing results. They are so subtle. I use prescription tretinoin, prescription Azelaic acid, it feels like it isn’t working but once you see side by side photos taken …. A year apart, in some cases, it’s hard to see a difference.
This video was so helpful! Thank you so much for doing it!! I'm starting to spend more on certain skincare products as I enter middle age, but knowing what affordable options I can use helps balance my expensive eye cream, etc.
Hi there,
Between Shopper's drugmart/Pharmaprix, Walmart, Amazon for Timeless and iHerb you can get most of these products. Unfortunately, no curology in Canada, nor the Urban Skin rx. :/
I hear you, fellow Canadian ❤
Hi guys...I love it when you start the video with the phrase "HERE WE GO" ❤❤❤ Thanks for all you do you atr appreciated 👏 😊
To hear that you like Pacifica made my day.
Does it leave any patchy spots in dry skin?
@@amandaavia Not in my experience
I have been looking for guidance for these products and here you are! Thank you for the info!
I wonder how much packaging affects the cost of items. As long as it keeps the product actives intact, packaging doesn't influence my purchases.
LOVE this non-sponsored, professional, and approachable routine! Thank you for putting the time and effort for us budget-aware folks :) Curious if you guys have any recommendation for cosmetic lines at Sephora
You two should do a video of your shopping trip! That would be so fun!
I signed up for script and wow! My skin is immediately improved and it was so affordable. Thanks Dr.Maxfield!!
Vanicream is so underrated. It's excellent.
Thank you so much for the information… from mom of 5 kids you can imagine we have big list of demands BUT I REALLY want to look somewhat ok with out spending a lot (well I don’t really have much to spend any way) thanks
Consolidate steps. Music to my ears! And a word for “foggy glass” is frosted or glazed. Lol
I use Cerave cream to foam cleanser £15 ( unless it's on offer), Revolution Sali Hughes Vit C serum £15 ( unless its on offer), Skin 1004 Centella spf 50 around £15 , I only use extra moisturizer underneath in winter.
I like the tinted CeraVe sunscreen. I am super impressed with it. It's affordable and leaves the skin glowing and moisturized, and not one bit white.
The La Roche Posay lipikar cleanser is excellent and very gentle on the skin, an excellent choice Dr. Maxfield👌
I love CeraVe,I used Cerave , best products for me ❤️🇺🇸
I'm a fan of the Vanicream SPF 30 and the Moisturizing Lotion 🥰 The sunscreen applies very nicely with a nice matte finish.
Use the Vanicream cleanser and Timeless daily for years! Love them!!
This is great, thank you! I have very reactive skin and binning expensive products breaks my heart. These are all at a price point worth trying out.
I'm a coupon shopper, skin care products are often on sale at drugstores and of course Target and Walmart.
Would you review P&G products like Olay, and Kenvue products like Aveeno and Neutrogena? Which work well, and any to avoid?
Thank you for simplifying it for us men. And Dr Asha’s haircut is very cool!
I absolutely loved this video…the budget friendly quality is what I needed right now. Thank you!
Thanks for this Target haul! I do have a quick question, how do you go about a skincare routine for oily/combination skin with rosacea? I never know what products to choose bc I’m extremely oily in the T-zone but also have dry and red checks. Thanks in advance! Love your channel btw I’m new to you guys and I’ve spent the last few days watching a lot of your videos. Thanks for your work!! 🤗
Fantastic video, I've written down many of theses suggestions. Thank you!
