So during a play through of GOW, I had a crazy thought. So I’m in helheim to kill the gatekeeper and Mimir and Kratos are talking about the consequences of killing him. Mimir says it would remove an obstacle for anyone trying to reach the inner sanctum of helheim and then asks who would ever want to go there. So with this statement and then Mimir mentioning that even Odin couldn’t withstand Helheim’s cold….. I thought this may be a bit of foreshadowing for the next game. Odin is made out to be pretty tricky and clever. So what if, the inner sanctum of Helheim is actually where he put Freya’s warrior spirit? It always struck me as odd that she needed the gatekeepers heart of all things. Seems to me like that would have huge repercussions? (assuming helheim wasn’t already overflowing with the dead since the valkyries were all already imprisoned not doing their jobs lol). However, whether she actually needed the heart or not, if her warriors spirit was in the inner sanctum this would remove an obstacle for her especially since she can’t fight. I realize this may be a stretch but just something to think about. If I’m being completely honest, I completely thought we would cross the bridge of the damned on my first play through. Just like i figured we would be jumping off the path in the realm between realms when Brok first warned us to never do that. (That one was a bit more obvious since they actually had a little ledge leading to nowhere on that path with the option to jump prior if I remember correctly)
It could be plausible. There would've been a plot hole with her being spellbound to Midgard. but she can ask the valkyries to retrieve her warrior spirit if she learns it's in helheim (or another realm)
Another interesting thing in connection with that is that perhaps Hel has it? She was imprisoned in Helheim in the myths and due to her being Loki's child and important for Ragnarok alongside her brothers Jörmungandr and Fenrir, it would make sense she would be locked or kept somewhere too. Maybe she'll help Freya or may even fight her since Freua technically wants to kill her grandfather?
You’re definitely on to something, I don’t Think they would add the part of “Even Odin can’t withstand the cold/winds of hel” for Nothing. I like your theory 👍 My theory about Helheim is that in GoW Ragnarok The giant bird, or Hræsvelgr, Will be a fight for cheating/interupting death. As Well as Surt might have some say, since he was mentioned as Well.
Don’t forget that Freya didn’t have her warrior spirit before Kratos kills helheims gatekeeper, Freya battles with kratos and baldur at the end. That means she has her warrior spirit back, and we saw in the gow ragnarok trailer that she attacks Atreus and kratos
Theory - Kratos is considered as a patheon destroyer. Faye and Tyr were working togather. They wanted kratos to come to this land and kill this pantheon, As Tyr tried his best to make peace but failed because of ODIN. in GOW-R Kratos will destroy Norse pantheon and kill odin and then all other patheons will rush in to destroy kratos OR Tyr will use Kratos name to spark fear in other pantheon Gods to stay in line or kratos will come to destroy your pantheon.
This might also spark conflict with Kratos though cause we know Kratos doesn’t like to be looked at as a monster Even in the first God of War Kratos looks to be ashamed of being looked at as a monster and as “The Ghost of Sparta”
@@snarf2400 You mean Mycenaean and Minoan mythology is much older, Classical and Ancient Greek mythology isn't as old as the first Germanic tribes mythology. But it is based upon older bronze age Mycenaean mythology and they are supposedly based on even older Indo-European mythology which likely does predate those Germanic tribes (as far as we know). So your right, but you have to be more specific lol.
in mimir's tales he almost sounded like tyr and odin were of similar position in the pantheon so it might be a possibility that he is from another place

Keep up the good work!! Super excited to play Ragnarok.... in 4 years when it gets ported to PC.
Its always possible that odin didn’t want people to know tyr was his son he did hide the fact freya was baldurs mother could have disowned him thats a possibility
he attributed all freya’s work by calling her frigg because he didn’t want a vanir goddess to be respected, baldur is said to be his finest tracker so odin obviously values him a lot
(Just general thought ) and in the boss fight with Baldur ,he would say that he's not like his brother ,if Kratos had given what he wanted he would have simply walked away but the question here is why was he there ? 1) most people would say he was tracking the giants and he mistook Kratos as a giant but didn't Thor and Odin wipe out every giant ? and comparing the size cant Baldur see the difference that Kratos is not the one he's looking for 2) or did Odin tell Baldur that Atreus is carrying the cure he's been looking for the entire time. (the green arrow that brok offered to Atreus). For some reason I find the whole plot of GOW4 is plan framed by ODIN to trap Kratos and Atreus
@@aalennn1 jotuns are a race and arent all “giant” like his wife isnt a giant, baldur is looking for any survivors, odin doesn’t know they are al dead but they might not be, baldur was tracking fey remains
Soooo...basically, the original idea David Jaffe had in mind, regarding Jesus making an apearance in the GOW universe, sort of became reality? That's neat! Also, I keep thinking of this particular idea. What if everything that actually defines Tyr, like goodness, the will of helping others, basically his overall image, is just words? What if he in fact only wanted to reach some ultimate goal and he is a false good god? Huh, i can only imagine the intrigue. Don't mind tihs, i love drama and plot twists, i know this isn't the case for such theory :)) Also, it seems like everything revolves around The Higher Plane of Existance. Maybe we'll have a small peak of it this time. Great video man! keep 'em coming!
Man, it's funny how you are not only coming up with the same theories I've long held, but even confirming them as as plausibility with facts! Even before GOW 2018 came out or was even announced, I had the theory that this higher plane of existence created all of the primordial deities of each pantheon. I speculated this higher plane to have been the Gnostic pantheon (which I believe it was you who made a video about this a while back), and that Athena either became a servant to the aeon Sophia, became Sophia herself, or was in fact Sophia incarnate within the Greek pantheon. The same may be true for Tyr. Great minds think alike!
I had a thought: What if the secret thor scene in god of war 2018 is the opening to ragnarok, it's years in the future, so the boy will be older. Also, every god of war game starts with the camera on kratos, so it will start with it zooming out where you see him in his bed sleeping until thor talks to him. It would be an awesome intro, to through you back in.
So I just had a thought. When the World Serpent talks to Mimir, Kratos, and Atreus(Loki) why did he only recognize Atreus?? Does that mean Kratos dies before the World Serpent is born? Otherwise why wouldn’t he recognize both of them?? Also on another note when he think that they’re Asier he gets visibly aggravated and if Kratos doesn’t age very much also due to his looks why would he even confuse him for Asier at all? My theory unless something changes is that Kratos died in that timeline where the Serpent was originally from sometime before the Serpent was born.
Maybe I might’ve misunderstood what you understand but atreus is the father of the serpent so maybe he just recognizes him cuz well it’s him but younger lol but I like your thought
Well based on what we know from Jörmungandr, he did indeed come from another timeline since he seems to have came from an alternative timeline where Kratos and Atreus never set off in their quest. Why? Because he won't be born and old enough, along with his siblings, to fight in Ragnarok. Both Loki and Angrboda are still children and no where near the age to have children, and seeing how he didn't recognise Kratos, something probably happened to Kratos in the original timeline that set Loki off to eventually cause Ragnarok. But in this timeline, because of Faye potentially learning things from Jörmungandr, she changed the timeline to a better outcome but now how Loki and Angrboda meet is different so perhaps it will the alternative versions of their children who escaped to this timeline that will fight. Since events changed, we have no idea how things will play out and if they will even have their future children still. But since, judging by Jörmungandr being shown and both Fenrir, Skoll, Hati and Hel being hinted at, they may have purposefully traveled to this new timeline to see that things play out like in Ragnarok with them all playing crucial roles.
As someone who just played the game on PC, the one take away from all the Tyr stuff is just how ever present Tyr's actions are, and always for good, which is a distinct difference from how almost every god is portrayed, and this lends to me credence to the idea that he's an outsider. Which would explain why Kratos' has to follow Tyr's trail as another outsider. Plus I just also like they scholarly theory that the Aesir gods where created to replace the "foreign" gods aka the Vaenir . And i think the devs are at least away of this since they made Freya and Frigg the same person in their story.
I'd love this in the series. I'd love it if you could go back to Greece. Even if you Kratos doesn't physically go there. If Greece is mentioned and the other Pantheon's are it'd be awesome.
Maybe Tyr split from Ymir's flesh just like Odin (knowing He's the father of all creatures in Norse Mythology) At the same time. And that's the secret Odin doesn't want it to be revealed. And maybe it's also one of the reasons we don't know why Tyr is imprisoned in Asgard. But who knows, it's just a random theory.
Honestly I like this idea, i think it would be a nice way of continuing the god of war franchise after god of war ragnarok. It's a shame that this theory will probably never happen
One thing to take into account is that on the weekly calendar. Tuesday a.k.a Tyrs day is the day before Wednesday which is known as Odins Day. This would be nice if it played into any sort of significance but food for thought nonetheless.
What if after Tyr dies Atreus takes his powers and he is now responsible for keeping the peace and in the next games we play as Atreus as he travels between each mythology trying to restore peace
Well after watching this I can say that God Of War Ragnarok (GOWR) Could be like Game Of Thrones (GOT) With Tyr(hero) dying and the protagonist finishing the rest.
Here a theory of mine: The events we witness in every God of war pantheon seem to be the same. Baldur matches with Ares, Tyr matches with Athena, Odin with Zeus etc. So, what I believe, is that the bird Egyptian God in fallen God( I don't rember the name) is the God that matches with Athena and Tyr in the higher existence. Maybe the characters matching are all being "controlled" by some higher beings trying to change the pantheons in earth in different ways. Hope you appreciate my theory
Bro WTF all u said makes non sense first off fallen God book have nothing to do with story they did it so they explain why kratos lived even tho he died and Baldur is not even close to Ares use ur 2 left brain cells man
so Tyr is like the mithrandir of the nine realms. i like it. "A God of Law and Honourable duels is never late... nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to.
Great video... your theory makes sense. Even tho we learn about Tyr's actions, we never find out about his origin. And the murals do show Odin & Thor locking Tyr up. If it's due to access Odin needed....killing Tyr doesn't help his cause either.
Kinda funny that you said that about Jesus, while not exactly like him, Tyr does have some big similarities and I’m glad I’m not the only one who saw it. I was thinking I might be reading into it too much because of my faith.
Tyr and Zeus, etymologically, are the same god. Going backwards into proto-Germanic and even further back, you have Tyr, Tiwaz, and then the Proto-Indo-European Dyeus. Dyeus obviously is the root of the Latin Deus, but in ancient Greek, it became Zeus. In modern Greek, its Theos. EDIT: I typed this before I started watching the video LOL To expand, the Norse pantheon ultimate came from the Hindu Vedas.
What I wanna know is why Mimir got so mad at Odin killing Ymir. Like I understand that he's mad at Odin but the way it's implied it feels like Odin did something to him Personally.
I think as Kratos refuses to think like a general , Tyr would become the new general of the army for Loki in the ragnarork.I think there will definately be a huge war scenes and fights just like we see in Avengers end game .
Back in very old germanic and norse mythology (10 000 years ago) and during the Bronze Age (3000 years ago) Tyr was one of the most popular deities. Here in Sweden where I live we have plenty of petroglyphs from the Bronze Age and back at this time Tyr was the most famous god together with Frö (later Freyr in English). There are 24 characters in the Elder Futhark that are split in 3 parts: 8 characters for Tyr, Frö and another named Hagal respectively. The eight characters of Tyr starts with "T" which is literally referring to Tyr himself, meaning the oldest Futhark has a rune standing for Tyr himself. Hence the theory that Tyr is not a son of Odin in the game would make sense to the mythology as well. However as the mythology developed it is not 100 % confirmed of Tyr's actual origin and different theories exist
It's good that you're making this video because not everybody follows God of war geek that follow you. So just because another RUclipsr that does God of war content makes a video doesn't mean you can't make a video or you should make a video about the same topic
Your theory reminded me of a book I read years ago where Merlin is actually Jupiter fallen to a mortal form by the rise of Christianity. Can't remember the title but Merlin transformed the first bible (the word of God) into Excalibur: the god killing sword and it was used against Woden, otherwise known as Odin.
According to a very old book from 1918, Tyr was more worshipped at the beginning as God of war. But after a while, people prefer to trade instead of killing each other (I mean, they also traded with slaves, so war seems not to be THAT out of fashion). And with peace comes an era of poetry and wisdom. That's when Odin become God number 1 :D Here is a ranking (according to this book) with their more famous nordic name and their less famous "southern" name: After Sun (Sunday) and Moon (Monday) Tuesday (from Tyr) or *Ziistig (from Ziu) Wednesday (Odin) or **Wodanstag (Wodan) Thursday (Thor) or Donnerstag (Donar) Friday (Frigg) not the same God as Freya! But still Odin's wife. *Only in German part of Switzerland, else it's now Dienstag **With the rise of Christianity, priests tried to wipe out the main God's name of the heathen, so it became "Mittwoch" Source: Deutsche Götter und Heldensagen; Für jung und alt erzählt von H. Möbius; 8th edition; published by Alexander Köhler in Dresden, 1918 It's in German thou, and written in fraktur script
Im swedish and: Måndag = day of the moon Tisdag = day of Tyr Onsdag = day of Odin Torsdag = day of Tor Fredag = day of Freja Lördag = saturday BUT Lördag = viking word for washing- they would wash during this day Söndag = sunday the suns day.
@@quezcatol That's so interessting! You guys have a washing day? And yes! Our languages and culture are kinda related, obviously not 1:1, but, let's say, cousins :)
Before watching i wanna personally say i hope tyr is either from or spent enough time in celtic myth to be nuada argetlam or nuada silver hand and both were the first gods of their respective pantheons and were gods of war and order, both had metal left arms, and its a common idea that irl crosspollination combined the two
I have a theory. Since the prophecy of ragnarok is that the world serpent cracks Yggdrasil and gets casted back in time before his own birth. And when mimir talks to the world serpent, the serpent says Atreus seemed familiar. In Norse mythology Loki is the world serpents father. So the world serpent we know and love was already sent back in time before his own birth.
I also love that in the next game there’s more life as in we see lots of dwarves cuz we’re in their realm and we see other humans like angrboda (butchered that).. ragnorok seems more lively
The reality is that the Norse Tyr is used along with a bunch of other gods, Zesus and Jupiter, to reconstruct an ancient language and culture know in modern scholarly literature as "Proto-indo-european." This is an origin point of cultures that found themselves in as far apart as the Iberian peninsula to northern Indian. It's the source of the Greeks, Germans, Celts, Latins, Slavs, Persian, etc language. You can see a continued use of a term in multiple cultures that is hard to imagine thousands of years ago. Like, Aos Si and Asura... gods and god-like beings... just like Aesir. It's mostly a theoretical reconstruction, but a real cool rabbit hole to jump in!
As to this videos theory... there's another solution to religious origin to reality, other than a 'High Existence' with Prime Mover. And it's the older concept. That is, Ordered Beings rising from the chaotic lower forms or matter. That's what the Ancient Egyptians thought and so too the Greeks. Even the Norse thought this, as the Giant Ymir was born from the frozen spray of blood-like river. Then came the armpit babies.
I don't think that Tyr is Odin's son because family plays a big part in God of war and Tyr is not mentioned to be related to any other Norse god where as all of them are related to each other in some way. Tyr must of been sent from the higher existence to stop wars around all pantheons since he is the only unselfish god that we know of
I have a theory based on Odin's ravens that we kill during the game. So my theory is that Odin has already transcended into the higher place of existence bcoz the Odin's ravens in god of war are like athena, like they are made out of emerald which may signify that odin are from the higher plane of existence. Also this might make sense as Odin and athena are the gods of wisdom in their respective pantheons.
Nice theory but I think the next set of games will take place in the Egyptian pantheon where something will happen and brings the three mythologies together like they had first imagined
Idk, I think Tyr was locked up by Odin not because he’s from a higher plane but because Odin wants to control fate, we see that Tyr still has both his arms in the trailer but before Ragnarok happens Fenrir must rip one of them off, I think that Odin locked Tyr up so that Fenrir couldn’t remove Tyr’s arm and help start Ragnarok before Odin is ready
I think he may be Odin's son but hated the rule of his father and when he traveled other races blessed him with strength ect ect but all the theory's in this video I can understand like Hymir's son and a 'celestial' being I understand
I think it's possible he's Bor. In all of the mythology we've peiced together and all of the media representations he's always overlooked. We hear his name and then suddenly Odin is king. Most people don't even know that Odin has a father lol. Let alone one that is said to be a powerhouse in his own right. I think Tyr may just be Odin's father who he overthrew (Zeus Vs Kronos style lol).
Hey kuba, knowing how power hungry and corrupt Odin is as well as paranoid. Why wouldn’t he quest to conquer the other pantheons? Your theory mentions tyr maybe holding the peace but he’s been held captive so he shouldn’t be able to prevent conflict theoretically. Just curious your opinion. Also for fun, if the two pantheons were to cross based on game mythology which do you see coming out on top and who’s more likely to come out on top with Zeus vs Odin? Thanks, love the content!
@Prabh Sandhu I think it's actually the opposite way, if I recall correctly in GoW 3 we can see Zeus wiping away armies with just a hand movement but he also gets pummeled by Kratos' bare hands. Also in the novel (I don't know about it being canon but still) it says that Baldur was "stronger than anyone he had faced in his past life". I don't know if that means physical or magical power or just overall power but the point is that even Baldur is probably stronger than (or at least as strong as) Zeus, according to the books. So I imagine Odin and especially Thor being above Zeus in the "power" category.
I would also say according to what is in the mythology that Tyr was the first god until Odin came and dethroned him and called himself god of all. if you look at the days tyr is before odin, tyr is tuesday and odin is wednesday, of course you could say he sees himself as the middle and therefore wednesday, but as far as i know it's more something new with wednesday than middle, i don't know whether it is said like that everywhere because in German "Mittwoch - Wednesday“ „Mitte - middle“. I think Tyr comes at first
Do u think that they are gonna flip all of this on its head? Tyr still has his hand. What if that isn't Tyr? What if thats Odin pretending to be Tyr to follow and learn of Kratos and atreus? Trying to figure out their weaknesses while simultaneously manipulating them into doing what he wants them to do "under Tyr's guidance"?
I was rewatching your GOW greek saga from beginning to end and forgot that the enterance to the sisters of fate had a large eagle near the entrance. And obviously GOW 2018 also has a large eagle, granted in GOW 2 the eagle is an statue i just find it interesting how both have a super large Eagle or Bird guarding whatever. Don't know if its just coincidence or what but still.
Kuba I just want to say I love your content and forever will. You are the best God of war youtuber. Your predictions also are the best to me. Keep up the hard work and never stop cuz I will always support you❤️ Kuba Klan Forver😈
If Tyr is from higher plane of existence then it increases the probability of we all seeing another Athena cameo in the GoW ragnarok which this time maybe real, idk. Also, Kaptain Kuba can't it be that the mural we see in jotunheim will eventually be atreus witnessing how his mother death during the time travel and he will be mourning that and we will see atreus unlock the spartan rage on the Aesir god who killed Faye. Cuz we still don't know how Faye died.
@Prabh Sandhu yeah I get it. but just considering that plot hole kinda thing where we don't know how Faye died. Only with that in mind I said so. I'd say it'll be Tyr in the game.

That’s clever but destroying the Nordic pantheon means killing everyone including baldur so idk if it didn’t go according to her plan
Take it from an Icelander: Týr was the head of the pantheon for tribes living in Scandinavia that predate the vikings.
Do they predate the Greek? Honest question
@@captainjacksparrow1518 no, Greek mythology is much older
@@snarf2400 nah it’s not
@@snarf2400 You mean Mycenaean and Minoan mythology is much older, Classical and Ancient Greek mythology isn't as old as the first Germanic tribes mythology. But it is based upon older bronze age Mycenaean mythology and they are supposedly based on even older Indo-European mythology which likely does predate those Germanic tribes (as far as we know). So your right, but you have to be more specific lol.
Why is Iceland called Iceland and Greenland called Greenland?
in mimir's tales he almost sounded like tyr and odin were of similar position in the pantheon so it might be a possibility that he is from another place
After playing the game and finding the real nugget of truth, Tÿr never states his origins at all.
I wonder what Tyr is gonna say when he finally meets The Ghost Of Sparta face to face.
Kratos doesn’t seem to know much about the Norse gods but he strangely outright stares Tyr is dead like he knew it first hand.
When kratos asked “are you coming with us” his mouth isn’t moving
@Prabh Sandhu slow it down it goes off when he Sais us and that’s what I’m saying why would he say in a calm voice are you coming with us when he seems to shake tyr awake
@Prabh Sandhu I’m betting on modi from us killing Thor and giving him his hammer in ragnarok
Cory, Eric and the whole Santa Monica team are punching the air rn for you exposing them this bad hahahaha. Jokes aside, great video! I just finished GoW 2018 for the first time a few days ago; it was PHENOMENAL. But finishing the game just left this huge God of War sized hole in my heart, which fortunately your videos have filled! Will the game come out on ps4 aswell?
Its always possible that odin didn’t want people to know tyr was his son he did hide the fact freya was baldurs mother could have disowned him thats a possibility
he attributed all freya’s work by calling her frigg because he didn’t want a vanir goddess to be respected, baldur is said to be his finest tracker so odin obviously values him a lot
(Just general thought )
and in the boss fight with Baldur ,he would say that he's not like his brother ,if Kratos had given what he wanted he would have simply walked away but the question here is why was he there ?
1) most people would say he was tracking the giants and he mistook Kratos as a giant but didn't Thor and Odin wipe out every giant ? and comparing the size cant Baldur see the difference that Kratos is not the one he's looking for
2) or did Odin tell Baldur that Atreus is carrying the cure he's been looking for the entire time.
Now that you mention it, The model for Tyr does have some resemblance to Zeus...
Damn it now I want to see the God of Wars in all pantheons to fight eachother.
This would definitely tie things up nicely. I'm hoping to see more of Athena in Ragnarok.
Sorry to burst your bubble...
Dude this Theory is briliant !!!❤️❤️❤️
Tyr coming from a higher plane of existence is just SOOOOO EPIC
For some reason these vids, hypes me up for GoW more than the trailers
This theory is so fitting that it has to be true or i'll be disappointed, i've thinked about this since the first time i've seen Tyr's temple.
That would be fun imagine kratos and Atreus separating and fighting different pantheon to prevent the collapse of the world
So I just had a thought.
Feels like you just spoiled the roadmap of Santa Monica Studio. lmao Nice Video!
His theory suggest Tyr existed before ymir
Tyr is Serbian
@@spaceghost9969 Didn't Odin have brothers that died. Maybe Tyr is an adaptation of one of those.
I like the Jesus reference. Tyr being the son of God and Odin is Joseph
Good theory
Sounds like you exposed a lot of future story plots

What if after Tyr dies Atreus takes his powers and he is now responsible for keeping the peace and in the next games we play as Atreus as he travels between each mythology trying to restore peace
Well after watching this I can say that
God Of War Ragnarok (GOWR)
Could be like Game Of Thrones (GOT)
With Tyr(hero) dying and the protagonist finishing the rest.
I don't see how Baldur matches with Ares, but you might be on to something.
Bro WTF all u said makes non sense first off fallen God book have nothing to do with story they did it so they explain why kratos lived even tho he died and Baldur is not even close to Ares use ur 2 left brain cells man
They're all being controlled by... The Elder Gods. That's right: another Kratos/Mortal Kombat crossover coming up! :P
Baldur is more like Young Kratos bruh, not Ares.
Relax bro I m just theorizing
Daam!! this theory builds up more interesting stories about other pantheon's 🔥 As there are good god's in almost all mythologies.
Mimir might be a future version of tyr bc they both got glowy eyes n shit

EDIT: I typed this before I started watching the video LOL
To expand, the Norse pantheon ultimate came from the Hindu Vedas.

What I wanna know is why Mimir got so mad at Odin killing Ymir. Like I understand that he's mad at Odin but the way it's implied it feels like Odin did something to him Personally.

"Thats just a theory, a Game Theory"-oh wrong channel....
tyr in ragnorak is gonna be like
"i know of you, god of war but one who fights for vengeance and pain, pathetic"
kratos: "watch your tone boy"
I think as Kratos refuses to think like a general , Tyr would become the new general of the army for Loki in the ragnarork.I think there will definately be a huge war scenes and fights just like we see in Avengers end game .
I would love for them to do a spin-off or even with Kratos, exploring the the world before the gods
not seeing david jaffe looking like a hobbit feels uncomfortable.
Love the videos, can't wait for Ragnarok to come out.

One thing worth mentioning is I bet tyr was imprisoned by choice as to not cause violence and chaos in the pantheon.
This is an amazing theory, keep up the amazing research
Another great video as always
..."we thought Tyr was dead, but it was the other way around." We're dead she Tyr is alive?!
How you make these videos are so great and your theories make so much sense thanks Kuba
According to a very old book from 1918, Tyr was more worshipped at the beginning as God of war. But after a while, people prefer to trade instead of killing each other (I mean, they also traded with slaves, so war seems not to be THAT out of fashion). And with peace comes an era of poetry and wisdom. That's when Odin become God number 1 :D Here is a ranking (according to this book) with their more famous nordic name and their less famous "southern" name:
After Sun (Sunday) and Moon (Monday)
Tuesday (from Tyr) or *Ziistig (from Ziu)
Wednesday (Odin) or **Wodanstag (Wodan)
Thursday (Thor) or Donnerstag (Donar)
Friday (Frigg) not the same God as Freya! But still Odin's wife.
*Only in German part of Switzerland, else it's now Dienstag
**With the rise of Christianity, priests tried to wipe out the main God's name of the heathen, so it became "Mittwoch"

Before watching i wanna personally say i hope tyr is either from or spent enough time in celtic myth to be nuada argetlam or nuada silver hand and both were the first gods of their respective pantheons and were gods of war and order, both had metal left arms, and its a common idea that irl crosspollination combined the two
I must say this is a very reasonable theory
calm and reasonable
I have a theory. Since the prophecy of ragnarok is that the world serpent cracks Yggdrasil and gets casted back in time before his own birth. And when mimir talks to the world serpent, the serpent says Atreus seemed familiar. In Norse mythology Loki is the world serpents father. So the world serpent we know and love was already sent back in time before his own birth.
You just said the same thing twice
I also love that in the next game there’s more life as in we see lots of dwarves cuz we’re in their realm and we see other humans like angrboda (butchered that).. ragnorok seems more lively
Make a theory on "how kratos and atreus will find tyr"
Great video!! Need a vid on your theory of who all main/sides bosses will be for the next game 👀. (Also, does Kratos pick up Mjolnir as a side piece!)
The reality is that the Norse Tyr is used along with a bunch of other gods, Zesus and Jupiter, to reconstruct an ancient language and culture know in modern scholarly literature as "Proto-indo-european."
This is an origin point of cultures that found themselves in as far apart as the Iberian peninsula to northern Indian.
The rock isn’t going to be starring in a GOW movie, it’s confirmed that they’re creating a COD movie btw
Nice theory but I think the next set of games will take place in the Egyptian pantheon where something will happen and brings the three mythologies together like they had first imagined
Tyr has both of his hands in this version. I wonder why
Hopefully 1 day, Santa Monica decide to offer you a full time job as their lore master for God of War games
Probebly that gonna happen .

@Prabh Sandhu yeah I get it. but just considering that plot hole kinda thing where we don't know how Faye died. Only with that in mind I said so. I'd say it'll be Tyr in the game.
