5:46 " but the damage was about the same" ummmm excuse me??? Thats like getting stabbed with pvc pipe compared to getting stabbed with a entire building column which is what was thrown at him. Literally destroyed his entire torso. Not at all the same
@@miguelolvera9861 I believe either way, Kratos may be killed but will ultimately always be revived in one form or another. If Atreus kills him, it's very possible he will just come back to life with a practical solution found in the Norse mythology. That plus Kratos has a knack for escaping the afterlife.
4:45 when you ask why people take kratos healing on the spot as immortality instead of superhero regeneration then proceeds to show an IMMORTAL anithero as you say this lmfao xD great video though kuba! :)
I enjoy your theory of possibly a higher power that keeps kratos alive but I do have a question and often wonder about this little nugget that kratos himself told Atreus at the end of killing baldur but doesn't one need a soul to die because kratos told Atreus that he had made a deal with A god that cost him his soul so I always wondered if one has no soul can they really die?
I’ve assume that was a metaphor for Kratos losing his “free will”, essentially becoming a slave to Ares and later Olympus. It was only due to his actions in God of War 1 that he finally broke the chains on him when he killed Ares. Ascension goes into detail on it as he literally made a unbreakable oath to Ares, and the whole point of that game was to break that particular oath so Kratos can actually go on his revenge quest.
Theory #1: I believe that by slaying the Sisters of Fate, he claimed their powers that work in the way that even without him knowing he wields them, he controls his fate. The explanation for his survival at the end of GOW3 is simple - his primary intention was not to kill himself, but to release the hope to the people. He was aware of the hope being trapped in him because Athena got mad because he did not give it to her. So, I believe to a certain point that his destiny is his to decide. Theory #2: Balrog is still going for the “3 wise men” culmination of the series, making all the characters believe that there is a single God responsible for controlling the fates of all. So yeah, Tyr, Kratos and possibly the Egyptian variant will spread a monotheistic religion to all of the realms.
I'm just imagining after Kratos wipes out all the pantheons he finds a portal to the Sony Santa Monica studios where he can kill the god that cursed him with his immortality, CORY BARLOG
I like that now we know baldur had no idea he was a Greek god he thought kratos was the last jotnar giant but later tells us he knows that Atreus is the giant during the dragon back fight
KUBA YOU ARE GINIUS. Your theory sound's like the best for me because Cory Barlog always had plans for the Higher place of existence. I think someone from the Higher place of existence put Athena to watch and guard Kratos because they have bigger plans for him. Even in the ghost of Sparta, when Kratos tried to kill himself again, Athena was around him again so that if he had decided to jump she could save him again, just like in GOW1.
My theory is they are all mortals that have the power to absorb magic, like orbs and dew of yggdrasil. That is why they need people making sacrifice to them to soak that energy. When they kill another god they take their energy. Kratos has killed many gods and took on a lot of energy. The theory of someone else controling Kratos fits perfectly with my joy stick.
I honestly think kratos is just banished from death when killed he will come back from the grave I also think the curse of immortality on kratos is weakening because he isn’t in the greek world he traveled to the norse world and possibly the norse world’s protections against foreign spell and magic is weakening the curse hence kratos is aging
BRUH i wrote this comment half a year ago? Who is stupid enough to see this on an old comment and be like: ,,heck yeah my half year old comment won today!" Just go away.
1 thing to remember is that kratos lost his mortal body in the 1st game it was his soul that climb out of hades. After that point there's 2 of him. His soul and his body still pinned to the wall.
Krato's Immortality comes from comes from an ancient piece of armor that was coincidentally built by Sindri and Brok and given to Tyr who either lost it or let it go while in the Greek pantheon during his travels. Im not going to butcher the actual Norse name of the armor but I think it translates to something along the lines of "Plot Armor". :P
Oh wow the thing if Kratos is immortal makes u to do an sequel about ur older video, I thing u will give us more info about this category of Kratos because i didnt saw the video, but now i will
I have always thought that last theory is true in the sense that gives a narrative impulse to the game, meaning that destiny or the energy or abstract god (like the Force) has made Kratos de vessel to keep the Earthly God Pantheons in line
It feels good that people still talk about God of War because it's my favourite game series big ups to Kuba for keeping me entertained throughout quarantine. Also, I have a RUclips channel so any views and feedback would be great :)
To be fair that pillar ares threw not only impaled him but almost bisected him and definitely destroyed his spine. It was a much more fatal blow than baldurs.
Having the power of the old god of war theory could be debunked due to the fact he sacrificed his god power (along with being stolen some for the colossus) to the Blade of Olympus. As for manipulating fate, the Sisters MIGHT have a hand as Kratos didn't exactly kill all of them as 2 of the sisters were trapped in the past. Something we don't know if they're just trapped at the exact time and place Kratos defeated Ares or if they just found their way back to their temple and get back to work. My theory is that Athena herself could be the one keeping him alive. Remember, she's the only god that isn't destroyed like the rest in Kratos' path of revenge, she became a spirit instead of just being dead ("ascended to a higher existence" she said). You might think she's powerless, but don't forget she was still able to casually turn Kratos' damaged blades into the Blades of Exile. Her motive to keeping Kratos alive is to take revenge for his defiance by releasing the power of Hope back into the world.
It might be just me but baldur is my favourit god representation in the history of god representations i mean he is strong really strong so he dont need useless weapons or shields or armor he is just strong to be a god in his natural form like omni man is strong to kill a civilisation without ani weapon or suit I wish we could play a charachter once in a game where you can destroy cities with your bare hands if you want or help them if you want (sorry for bad english)
What if atraeus gets convinced that Kratos killed his mom and ends up killing Kratos then it wouldn't be suicide it would be Kratos dying to his son cuz in the game Kratos says if it came down to his son living that he would die for his son
ACTUALLY YOUR THEORY MAKES A LOOOOT OF SENSE since their are gods or like beings beyond gods in the greek mythology I am not sure but there are 3 beings that rule everything in the universe according to the greek mythology deity of time deity of space And deity of destiny
We kind of forget that kratos can literally regenerate with his spartan rage ability. Which implies that it is just a power he has as a God. The ability to overcome any battle.
You truly forget about Gaia God of war 3 line i think this line would explain it (you live spartan? the blood of cronos served you well) this line is about seconds before cutting her hand
I think that kratos still had the soul of hades as he left his weapons in Greece and because when he opened pandoras box he didn't give back the power in gow 1 that is why he's immortal
I like the idea of powers above the mythological pantheons, like the embodiments of Destiny, Time, Life and Death, others I can't think of. Something that needs Kratos for something in the far future. Or at least an entity that gave him Immortality as a apology for his destiny being to kill his wife and daughter, giving him the opportunity to both take revenge on those responsible (Greek Gods, possibly influencing destiny that the entity forbids itself from tampering with or is unable to) as well as find a new family in Faye and later Atreus.
I know I'm late, but isn't it possible that Gaia's curse is the Cycle of Patricide? Ares and Athena are both children of Zeus. If they kill Zeus, they become the next cursed. But if they made Kratos do the killing, they can reap the rewards and the Patricide curse becomes a problem of a lowly mortal turned god, one who they could turn mortal again and let the curse become a mortal dilemma.
After hearing your theory i think the higher up gods are using Kratos to wipe out all the Pantheons to start over as they wanted it to be in the first place.
It would be interesting to see Santa Monica create their own “one above all” that oversees all the pantheons across time and space much like Marvel did for their omniverse
It would be cool if they explained how did Kratos traveled to the reconstructed mortal kombat 2011 universe from mk9. They never said who brought him there
Not sure about the regeneration one, I mean yeah they specifically show it a few times but kratos has always received damage through all the games that should one shot any normal person..yeah his health bar goes down but it's like his skin closes his wounds when he's cut or something...then again in 2018 they outright show his health bar going up by itself so that's something to think about aswell, it's weird lol.
They might explain it all in the next game. BTW why isn't no one talking about Cory confirming that Kratos still has a portion of the power of hope still locked within him ? He stated this like a year ago about you didn't talk about it.
What about that old caretaker from the PSP Ghost of Sparta game?? It seems to me he was an important person like an oracle or a higher being that knew more about Kratos than he was letting on. He could be the one keeping Kratos alive...
I think after he killed the sisters of fate he gained time manipulation. His armor recovers as well as his wounds. He is also cursed to never be able to die by his own hand and that means he can't give up and allow someone to beat him in a fight and can't forego a tool or ability. So if he's injured he must heal because it is a tool he has. But that's just a theory. A game theory...

5:46 " but the damage was about the same" ummmm excuse me??? Thats like getting stabbed with pvc pipe compared to getting stabbed with a entire building column which is what was thrown at him. Literally destroyed his entire torso. Not at all the same
I think the only way Kratos can actually die is if Atreus kills him since the only way Zeus and Chronos die was by the hand of a family member
Zeus (his father) killed kratos, so doesn’t make sense
@@adamsin9260 but weren’t they cursed with sons killing their fathers that’s probably why he didn’t die
@@miguelolvera9861 I believe either way, Kratos may be killed but will ultimately always be revived in one form or another. If Atreus kills him, it's very possible he will just come back to life with a practical solution found in the Norse mythology. That plus Kratos has a knack for escaping the afterlife.
NOOO THEY WOULDNT
@@miguelolvera9861 not a curse, a cycle.
4:45 when you ask why people take kratos healing on the spot as immortality instead of superhero regeneration then proceeds to show an IMMORTAL anithero as you say this lmfao xD
great video though kuba! :)
For anyone who needs clarification, immortal is not the same as unkillable or invincible. It just means old age and disease won't kill you.
@@TheGary108 he gave ares his soul and his free will but he might have got his soul back when he killed ares
Can't wait to see Kratos and Jesus throwing hands at each other after Kratos slays all other pantheons out there.
Plot twist kratos is Jesus
Yeaaaah new vid from The Kaptain !!
Hi guys i'm new to this channel and I'm absolutely addicted to it
This Reminds Me Of Aeris Where She Also Died BUT Also Kept Coming Back No Matter How Many Times She Was Laid
To Rest She Kept Returning
Makes sense, since Greek gods are powerful only when people believe in them (which would be like getting energy out of belief i guess)
I honestly think kratos is just banished from death when killed he will come back from the grave I also think the curse of immortality on kratos is weakening because he isn’t in the greek world he traveled to the norse world and possibly the norse world’s protections against foreign spell and magic is weakening the curse hence kratos is aging

Easy debunk:
Just let a draugr kill Kratos, he died.
BRUH i wrote this comment half a year ago? Who is stupid enough to see this on an old comment and be like: ,,heck yeah my half year old comment won today!" Just go away.
Kratos is immortal in longevity but is still able to die by physical means all gods in Greek mythology have this.
Kratos has killed enough death deities/gods (Hades, Persephone, Thanatos, Charon, etc) to justify his immortality.
In my mind it's real simple: If Kratos could kill Ares, then someone else could just as easily kill Kratos.
Imagine if the reason why Kratos was alive in GoW3 is that the Greek Hell was full.
1 thing to remember is that kratos lost his mortal body in the 1st game it was his soul that climb out of hades. After that point there's 2 of him. His soul and his body still pinned to the wall.
Shiva the Destroyer is keeping him alive for game 17 when they finally get to the hindu pantheon.
Kratos immortality is wildly recognized as: "Man too angry to die"
Kratos can’t really die as every time he dose he just comes back
Oh wow the thing if Kratos is immortal makes u to do an sequel about ur older video, I thing u will give us more info about this category of Kratos because i didnt saw the video, but now i will
Thats awesome man
@@KaptainKuba thank you
Nice vid🔥
I wonder if Atreus is ever gonna find out that kratos killed his first family and also how he would react to finding said information out
Kratos is immortal because he can escape death.
Wow nice video great theory.
Even Cory said he’s doomed to walk the earth forever so that’s canon enough
I have always thought that last theory is true in the sense that gives a narrative impulse to the game, meaning that destiny or the energy or abstract god (like the Force) has made Kratos de vessel to keep the Earthly God Pantheons in line
Cronos killed his father before gia made the curse and is part of the reason she made the curse
my guy's like, john wick. three movies later, he'll be good as new.
This is one of my favorite theories kuba has made till now.... it felt good to rewatch it!
It might be just me but baldur is my favourit god representation in the history of god representations i mean he is strong really strong so he dont need useless weapons or shields or armor he is just strong to be a god in his natural form like omni man is strong to kill a civilisation without ani weapon or suit
I wish we could play a charachter once in a game where you can destroy cities with your bare hands if you want or help them if you want (sorry for bad english)
Have you played Rampage?
What if atraeus gets convinced that Kratos killed his mom and ends up killing Kratos then it wouldn't be suicide it would be Kratos dying to his son cuz in the game Kratos says if it came down to his son living that he would die for his son
This would be the worst way to end the series
if he wants to die. he won't get killed. that counts as su*cide
Oh shit if Loki kills kratos I'll be shocked and it can happen.
Why on earth RUclips demonitized a video about video game lore?
0:40 thanks, good bay
Yo the animation is dope af
ACTUALLY YOUR THEORY MAKES A LOOOOT OF SENSE
since their are gods or like beings beyond gods in the greek mythology
I am not sure but there are 3 beings that rule everything in the universe according to the greek mythology
deity of time
deity of space
And deity of destiny
We kind of forget that kratos can literally regenerate with his spartan rage ability. Which implies that it is just a power he has as a God. The ability to overcome any battle.
Happy birthday kaptain kuba 🎉
He's immortal....not invulnerable he can still get injured and experience things close to death, just can't die
Ya not invulnerable but when In rage he is invulnerable
I think that can die but no matter how he died he will come back to life if someone brought him back or not
As long as Kratos remains whole he cannot be stopped, Kratos takes death as a Hangover movie, but his soul and mind being ripped to pieces.
Hope everyone's having a wonderful Saturday.
I like how he reuploaded it just to censor things.
Is kratos immortal?
Valkyries: Lol what a joke.
The Valkyries are gonna be his resurrectors IF he does die for a short time in Ragnarök
Kratos has the power of deus ex machina.
After hearing your theory i think the higher up gods are using Kratos to wipe out all the Pantheons to start over as they wanted it to be in the first place.
we need a new video on this , people are worshipping kratos in GOW : Ragnarok , also it was said that worship gives the god power .
It would be interesting to see Santa Monica create their own “one above all” that oversees all the pantheons across time and space much like Marvel did for their omniverse
It would be cool if they explained how did Kratos traveled to the reconstructed mortal kombat 2011 universe from mk9. They never said who brought him there
showing dead pool regenerating to say why that wasn’t immortality was very ironic hahaha
I'm not sure if he's technically immortal meaning he cant die but he can definitely crawl out of any hell he wants to at this point
And how exactly can curses of dead gods hold up?
i hope the sequel to 2018 will answer some more questions about Kratos...
The Most Ancient Dream is the one who keeping kratos alive
Not sure about the regeneration one, I mean yeah they specifically show it a few times but kratos has always received damage through all the games that should one shot any normal person..yeah his health bar goes down but it's like his skin closes his wounds when he's cut or something...then again in 2018 they outright show his health bar going up by itself so that's something to think about aswell, it's weird lol.
They might explain it all in the next game. BTW why isn't no one talking about Cory confirming that Kratos still has a portion of the power of hope still locked within him ?
He stated this like a year ago about you didn't talk about it.
What does that mean, what he can do with it?I know that it keeps him from creating chaos because he is the evil from Pandora's box?
What about that old caretaker from the PSP Ghost of Sparta game?? It seems to me he was an important person like an oracle or a higher being that knew more about Kratos than he was letting on. He could be the one keeping Kratos alive...
It’s so weird that Uranus is killed by Cronos in this GOW universe. That Cronos in the game was so pathetic I don’t know how he killed Uranus.
I mean he’s literally killed death itself “Thanatos” the primordial being predating the universe
Cory Barlog is the One Above All in the God of War universe and he keeps him alive for personal amusement and gain.
Hey boss man would you ever consider any Jak and Daxter lore discussions videos and game play?
I think after he killed the sisters of fate he gained time manipulation. His armor recovers as well as his wounds. He is also cursed to never be able to die by his own hand and that means he can't give up and allow someone to beat him in a fight and can't forego a tool or ability. So if he's injured he must heal because it is a tool he has. But that's just a theory. A game theory...
The great primordial ooze keeps kratos alive to kill everyone that pissed off the ooze.
This all depend on the high existence place (which is ruled by high primordials in my opinion) ,
* waiting for Calliope's video
