- Well what can I say? She wasn't cheap, but worth every penny. If you can find this rare locomotive, just buy her - it's as simple as that. She's stunning and I don't have another single loco like her. The review pretty much says it all. Enjoy

I always love your reviews. So good.
I want this loco so much and i love the weathering on it
@smleonard55 - ahhh I see what you mean. Well I have done that for a few videos but gnerally it takes more time and effort to do a video that way so I usually just record on the fly. I could, of course have edited that bit out or just not mentioned it but I want the world to know how annoying my neighbour is lol. The editing program I use is Adobe Premiere Pro.
thats a new one! "so how do you identify an LMS Princess?" "Its bleedin mahoosive!". Quality.
ur videos got me into the hobby of a lifetime.
A point about these DCC jackets you love. They do come in handy for when you're sticking a chip in a locomotive environment that contains metal - prevents shorting out due to it being an inuslator. Lovely vid though chief, I cannae wait for 6233!
@matt814211 - yes, that video had not finished editing tho, and this one had, so I had to go for this one tonight :) The Voyager will go up after a tutorial vid I think.
just won a bid on this loco up on ebay last week boxed and in excellent condition for 69.00 quid .it has the front steps missing, the whistle valve and needed a new screw that holds the rear pony truck in place, but other than that she is beautiful and they did a great job on the weathering !
LOL "MaHOOOsive" - nice review! Love the blue colour - quite rare for BR. I'd love to have an A4 in this colour!
@smleonard55 - ahh yes the BR days of the 70s and 80s are quite special :) I like them myself. I'm glad you like the videos and I'll be sure to keep them coming! What problems with the sound?
as an american its expensive to have these trains shipped over, but they look so worth it!
@D335Media - true, and I do keep a few in reserve for such occassions but 99% of the time the sticky pad I install the chips with acts as the insulator so I rarely need to butcher one of the jackets.
@liam2903 - a DCC sound loco video is ready but will be uploaded to co-incide with a shop recommendation.
@4472100 - I use a sticky pad instead. That way the chip is quite safe and in no danger of overheating.
@smleonard55 - if you come across one it might be worth getting then?
I'm in awe.
@miniadult12 - a review on the Voyager is due for upload anytime now. I just had to get thru some other videos first.
Fantastic !
She does look gorgeous.
I think it would look great double heading this and the 'City of Bristol' as they are both BR Blue. Great video
@loghead19 - thanks! More to come!
This is very interesting because I had the samle loco and colour back in the late 80s but it was nothing like the quality of the moder version. I didnt know it had been re-realased. Something i remember being disapointed about was the rathe poor lining on the wheel arches. This looks much better!
i love the train mate cant wait to see it with coches.
Stay tuned! A competition launches this Easter
I must say your reviews while they haven't gotten me into the hobby (rediscovery of my train sets did that) you got me into the British side of things and German trains....would love to see some German trains show up too!!!

a question can a dcc controller work with non dcc trains
Wat class should I get this one or the princess coronation class
so what curvs are more sharper ?
@InterCity82 Class 60 is good for sure, but what livery you've bought?
The new DB light blue one is good by the way..
@RedBullMatt14 - that is now done - this video is 2 months old :)
@InterCity82 do they give prices in american dollars too cuz i luv hornby trains and i cant find them in american money ANYWHERE!
@TheHavold - that set will be up by Easter at the latest :)
Maybe not this exact one, but there are more of this class for sale right now, yes.
love ya vids keep it up
so you mentioned that the new layout will be modular. How do you intend to do this because I am looking to do something like that as well so i can put it away safely and save space when not in use.
@hectobar - I do not recommend using a DCC controller to control a DC locomotive as the constantly alternating current plays havoc with the motor.
@penninefilms - I think the next video is a tutorial or some running specials.
Where did you find this beautiful engine? I need one. D:
@ididi9 - I save the coaches for follow-up vids - unless it's a set. But once I used to have videos of them pulling coaches straight after the review and it started making people thing they came with coaches! Which of course, locos like this don't.
@999fireguy999 - it was about £90 and came crom Trident Trains (they have a website)
A quick question what is a DCC jacket?
@BulletAchemist - lol, I think the next video is a tutorial one acutally.
nice review :)
@lordmattis94 - I think so, yes at some point I think they must have.
Do u use the peco railer
@InterCity82 All's well then! I'm likely to be getting a Bachmann A1 (NOT TORNADO!!!) in BR Brunswick, they look stunning.
on the hornby website when i dcc my hornby loco it said to cover the chip in insulating tape to protect the decoder so the dcc jackets would be for the same but easer and protecting decoder could make the life of the decoder longer
@InterCity82 On second thoughts, I could be getting the Pete Waterman Collection version of 46201 "Princes Elizabeth" in green.. That'll look epic next to 6233.
@IgotPMT - lol yup!
does hornby still sell this loco??
hey man I love your videos! I live here in America and have a small layout myself, I was wondering could you do a video talking about British railways? I dont know what you mean sometimes when you say names like LMN, I mean I know GWR as Great wEstern, but I dont know any others, maybe a comparison to American railways? I know things like Union Pacific, Illinois Central, MKT and things, but sometimes the termanology you use is different to me. Just a thought, a introduction to British railways and terms might be cool for a video. Thanks for all the cool stuff man really nice!
LMN, don't you mean LMS
@ApacheBravo - lol thanks!
I wish more people did reviews like these...
I LOVE HORNBY AND BACHMAN!
If I get enough requests I will
the dcc chip cover IS important to stop the dcc decoder touching electricals or the motor and blowing a fuse or just blowing up
how much did it cost?
I can't believe it! A couple of days ago i saw this loco for 55 pounds!! NEW!!! But my dad didn't let me get as i didn't have the money:(
@InterCity82 yeh that sounds good also will look good beside your royal train.
@JimbobatMTmodel - she must be quite old then?
@InterCity82 I see your point, but in my defense I do not actually own any non-DCC locos
Hi how are you!, listen i contacted hornby direct and asked for spares for the step irons which are those small steps that you can fit on the underside of the front buffer, my duchess of sutherland and princess elizabeth locos didn't like those too much on 2nd radius curves they kept getting bent and eventually broke off, and after re gluing several times i am minus two pairs of front step irons, hornby said they would have to take them off a spare model in the factory which sounds silly
Sorry about that. It was me not being clear. Depending on how you make your videos i tend to make the video with no sound and then make the phrases i want, inserting them as .wav files. This means if i get interupted i dont have to go back to the begining. What app do you make your movies in? regards smleonard55
@FatalMistake465 - yes - but modular
i need one now
@InterCity82 I checked out Ehattons and it has a spot where you can change the pricing plus they have really good prices
hopefully i will be going east midlands model railway show i will try to get some cheap trains(i so want a hst) great vid what will next week's vid be about (your vids carry on getting better and better)
I love british trains sad we don't have trains like that in austraila
@InterCity82 Thanks :D
@hkbfkmb - I think the class 60 will equal the class 50 but nothing can beat a maximum score :)
@matthewpeter - lol :) well it is!
were do you ship them from because if you ship them from a website called (MODEL FAIR.COM)you can get good trains for low price
nice loco, i found a BR green princess royal on the internet called the duchess of kent but that sounds wierd becuase i thought duchess classes carried those names?
haha lol - apologies in advance to your bank manager!
Kind of you to reply,
I am well and truly into all things blue but it is the diesel blue era for me. Having said that I did like the experimental blue used by BR. Your descriptions are very helpful as opening the boxes as a job in its self with so many parts that can break off. As for the problems with sound, have you thought about using free Audacity? Simply make short recordings and drop them into Moviemaker. regards smleonard55
i'v got the origional hornby one of these with the tender drive one, it runs well (not as well as this though)
@TrackMaster555 ehattons is quite good i think for intl' shipping too about a week and a half for me. ;)
@TrackMaster555 - mate, just use a currency converter. :) Shops like Hattons and Trident Trains are more than happy to mail overseas too.
@suncoolclose - oh yes, she's beautiful
what age are your neighbours from!!!
"Don't rush it and don't force it" Sounds a bit dirty haha
Graft er indeed
will your new layout be permanent???
they're sooooooooo long too!
what is the point in moving to canada it is good enough in england ps you should get the class 55 deltic from hornby
@trainyjack - eeek! Let me know when you upload some videos! :)
@BR75069 - hmmm odd?
@InterCity82 its from the 90s its code number is (which i dont believe) R037 I mean what are we now there into the thousands, il put a video of it running up if you like
@rose2productions - some can but I don't recomment it
I want to see you put the details on each of your train, and talk about it. Rate the install of detail.
@shwanrasoul - haha, lol, still living in the 1930s I think
I got 1 of those jackets even though the loco was not DCC ready
is craig ur friend or brother
@InterCity82 Same here. Will you have got some explaining to do ! ;)
Have Hornby or Bachman ever made Sir Nigel Gresley?
@houndog1372 - oh yes!! I want that one too :)
@Liverpoolfcfever - both are good :)
they need to make more BR blue models
(blue is my favorite colour)
for me i don't really like the weathering to me looks like some ones sprayed is some sewage
but the loco looks nice
@Sonic234Fan - lol cool! :) You won't regret it. Though your bank manager might. But tough. Life is for living! :)
there is cab detail
