"Auto-loading tank" was not what I expected when I clicked, but I'm happy it's what I got! That "grappling hook" design was really cool, though I wouldn't want to drive it considering it pulls the tower down onto itself...though I think I'd want to drive the climber even less!

There's also my personal invention, the Lego grenade. Components is a motor with a firmly assembled two-blade rotor which will extend under centripetal force, and a loose constructed shell around it. I personally used the + stick through a circular hole, with the shell being loosely a spherical but restraining edge to its movement. When the motor rotates the rotor, the + stick will start to erode on the inner part of the shell, and each hit against that shell makes the pieces of the shell disassemble in an exponential manner as the G forces grow. The outcome is the shell exploding outwards because of distribution of forces, in a predictable timely manner. This one can also destroy Lego things (and Lego in general).

Another engineer here.... & I love the mechanisms... but... f'me, any device that's destroyed while doing it's job is a 'last resort' option - if you go through all this effort for one instance of the job, it's a waste to have the gadget destroy itself... This is my favorite video of yours. I literally clapped and cheered each time a tower fell. Every aspect of this video is executed with mastery. The technical expertise in building Lego, especially with all your learned experience, is thoughtful and impressive. Each new 'idea' for tackling the larger towers is clever and unexpected. The prototyping and iteration towards a working engineering solution is very realistic, with failures and overcoming those failures. The storytelling and cinematography is minimalist but so effective, and funny, without even saying any narration. If there were an Emmy's for youtube I'd nominate this. Really marvelous and inspiring work.
For comparison, I'd love to see a mechanized version of the official brick separator weaponized against this tower, to sorta show off how advantageous a tiny wedge can be! Plus I don't think I've ever seen a brick separator used as part of a build before😮

This is so much like Bob Ross because every few minutes I'm like "oh there's no way you're getting around this" and then immediately "you mad genius you did it." The hug robot that climbed the tower was my favorite.
5:05 That little guy could have done much better with a heavier base. Most of his force was spent throwing himself into the air instead of hitting the tower. It's like throwing a punch when your footing isn't solid.
Well, you ruined it. It was fun while it lasted, but you just killed the last morsel of humour, and this is now nothing but a tired, annoying cliche. Well done.
Grappling hook was great! Climber was also awesome but seemed inefficient and wasteful (the bot was flipped upside down and effectively useless after). Having a separate compartment that would latch on at the top may have been the better move. That way scaling halfway down and pushing off repeatedly while using the top as an anchor could generate two forces with torque in the same direction. Using the climbers unique climbing ability with the ingenuity of the grapple also allows for simply completely scaling down and only rendering the top compartment as waste. Useful if the bricks at the top are too high to reach with the hook launcher.

10:06 the tower is down, but if it will cost me expensive equipment to take down the tower, it's not cost effective. it might very well injure my miniature soldiers as well. i think the most cost effective way is to push the tower back while being anchored to the ground.

That way scaling halfway down and pushing off repeatedly while using the top as an anchor could generate two forces with torque in the same direction. Using the climbers unique climbing ability with the ingenuity of the grapple also allows for simply completely scaling down and only rendering the top compartment as waste. Useful if the bricks at the top are too high to reach with the hook launcher.

10:06 the tower is down, but if it will cost me expensive equipment to take down the tower, it's not cost effective. it might very well injure my miniature soldiers as well. i think the most cost effective way is to push the tower back while being anchored to the ground.
