This thing has more shields than the imperial clipper. Just wanna point that out... Courier can get to 612 shields without even touching the engineers. Screw clipper, I'm keeping the courier!
That's odd, considering the clipper has a size 7 slot when the courier has size 3.
@@pureskill123 it has to do with the optimal mass of the shields I bet. I haven't checked the mass of the clipper vs the class 7's optimal multiplier but I bet that's the case
Manuverability is also very nice (you can reach 800m/s with engineering) while having a low profile means more effective health. Icourier has been loved by a lot of pvp fans.

It has similar DPS to a vulture, it is one of the fastest ships in game (only second to i-eagle), it has the highest forward acceleration of any ship, it has amazing shields, no power issues, good FSD range. How is this ship crap? I'm starting to think you don't actually like any ship other than cobra mk3.

This. Plus iCourier is fun little ship to do all those data courier/rep grinding missions in style and with a safety behind its high boost and speed.

Works well if you have VR: you can out-tank the smaller ships and out-fly the larger ones (and slowly nibble them to death). Not the fastest way to score a kill, but great fun (well, IMHO).

I agree with you, the iCourier is not a multirole. I'd classify it as an interceptor or long range fighter/recon. Because it can fill those roles really well, especially with engineering mods.
With the enhanced thrusters, and a grade 5 dirty drive tuning, the iCourier becomes a very interesting little oddity. I actually prefer it over my vulture now because it is just so fast and the turn rate is dizzying. Combined with upgraded shields and mass reducing mods, the speed and firepower it brings makes for a fun little dog fighter.
Amazing ship, back when I wanted a fighter and checked the price of the FDL I took this one instead. Never looked back. It NEEDS performance enhancer thrusters to shine. With the boost speed over 600 and the shields it has I can be on CZ till my Empire Hammer runs dry. the cockpit view is that of a Mirage fighter and sounds great. Two weeks later of fighting on CZ with the game changed for me, I had 300 M and I could do whatever I wanted.
I have two of this ships just for fighting and still my favorite.

courier big 650 shields 850 speed 50k jump with monster power using 3 rail guns is god tier level. i use for on foot missions. Very stylish assassins

Kurisu Makise having that second seat for multicrew would have been too aethsetically amazing for this game
No it a luxury ship that is for leg room.
It's a fighter. An out and out fighter. It's not a shield tank either, they're there for the rare occasions you can't stay out of the way.
If I'm flying the Courier it's literally impossible to kill me. The same can't be said of any other ship
The courier makes a good rank grind ship, it can get around with an SRV and fight off most courier mission assassins. And A-rating it costs about 10 mil, I've done it a few times. I just wish it had a large hardpoint for condas, but I digress, I'll be basking in one to some Aisling "materials" while ya'll go fly space bricks

I love using this for doing small jobs, especially smuggling. It may not be as good as a Cobra, but I just do not like the Cobra (heresy, I know). I do like this ship. I do not specifically go bounty hunting in it (Vulture/Corvette for that) and normal trading is pointless, but it can handle itself.
This is probably not a ship to get on your way up, but when you get tired of the big ships and want a change, it is great.
She reminds me of the ship that Dennis Quaid pilot in the end of the old movie Enemy Mine looks very familiar go check it out
Also, if you guys want fast imperial rank, go to Mainani and accept max courier missions to Ngaliann system. Both systems have 1 station, unlike FUCKING SOTHIS AND CEOS...
i just whant to point out this ship can get upt to 720 MJ shield... without engeneering it... with an class 3A shield generator.

What's so bad about the Imperial Navy rank system? I went from Outsider to Duke in three days (and yes, I bought a Cutter) =^.^=
And I think the Vulture is louder. That thing fizzes, buzzes, hums, rattles, and vibrates like a ten year old coffee machine.

With engineering it's also the fastest ship in the game bar none, it can easily reach speeds up to and over 600 mp/s. A common build is the bomber, equipping mines and doing strafing runs over your enemy while dropping mines in front of them. You are so fast that it doesn't matter that a wet fart will blow you up, no other ship in the game could possibly hope to catch you unless you fuck up and blow your engines while flying into your own mines.

Mate, after doing some research, i realized that the FASTEST ship in the game is VIper3. boost wise both viper3 & I-eagle have the same speeds! with engineering it's hard to say which one would win, I-courier IS NOT fastest..sure it's fast but cmon...
Poor choice of words on my part, I meant to say "one of the fastest". And it is, only the iEagle beats it, coming in at a whopping 850 mp/s. But that's a pure speed build, no weapons at all, the Courier bomber build is the fastest _combat_ ship in the game. :)

I got pretty lucky early on in this game with the Fehu Runs. making over 1 billion credits in my first two weeks of purchasing this game.
so naturally I got myself an A-Rated Combat Conda. which got real boring Really fast.
that's when I found myself looking for a nice Smaller ship for more challenging PvE combat. I looked at every ship in the game. FDL Courier and Federal Assault Ship is where I settled. Courier being my Most Used of the 3.

The only thing i hate about the courier's looks are the engine "wings" being in the middle, nor in the front or back.
yamiks your combat is... interesting. 3 railguns and heat at 150% all time and shooting sparks. peculiar strategy but I must try it someday.
Yamiks’ philosophy in combat: constantly shoot the enemy until you cannot physically shoot the enemy anymore for one reason or another. If your ship ceases to function, your ship is at fault. If your enemy explodes, congratulations!

Some Bullshit it's literally dead easy to get. Clipper and Cutter are a thousand times worse.
I used cobra for a long time but when I got in this I did miss my 16T cargo but I'll be honest I don't do trade or pirate anymore after the nerf.

rank system : devs telling you to GET FUCKED and waste time!
In short once you get 100% : A CHANCE to spawn a rank-up mission (from a faction that supports that super power that you are friendly or allied with!)
hey pal, good luck with finding those rank up missions! There just happened to be a thread on the Fdev forums today saying the next patch (in like a week or two) will have followup rank up missions, so should be all good after that. Those rank up missions will say NAVY in the title, and in the rewards section will show the rank you will get to upon completion. Not only that, but any progress you've done since hitting 100% will count towards the next rank (and so on) so you may still be 100% after ranking up! GLHF
So what ships does the Imperium have? A banana and two airliners.

The DPS on this is better than Viper, and actually slightly rivals the Vulture.
I guess Yamiks forgot that Small hardpoints do reduced dmg to bigger ships (as do medium but to much smaller degree). There is a reason why small hardpoints are considered kinda useless.

I shot down a imperial courier in an adder recently. shows the quality of the ship.

spinoexpert flies that's not even remotely reflective of the quality of the ship. Contrary to what Yamiks said, it does much more damage per second than a viper, has the best shields in its class, and has fantastic acceleration.

ye when I filmed this i was experimenting with all the setting n shit, it's also why you can see jitter...i didn't re-film it because video portion wasn't as important to me for this + i was being lazy...and there goes my credibility!

Love this little ship. Its just so much fun in so many ways. That alone makes it one of the best ships in the game. Noticed you used rails in the video. Try using light weight imperial hammers with great low thermal rolls. You can shoots for days and have very little heat issues. Especially if you combine it with a low thermal powerplant. Yep definitely a fun ship :)
I use 2 gimballed beams with thermal vent +support weapon of choice. My heat sometimes go to 0% without heatsinks.
