I have VR, I have a proper HOTAS, I have Two Steps From Hell music playing on Pandora over the game audio. The only thing I don't have to complete the immersion of pod racing is a simulator setup that pitches, rolls, and yaws my seat as my ship moves. I will NEVER sell mine. It doesn't do much, but it can hold it's own in combat due to it's sheer speed. You can make strafing runs faster than the enemy can bear their weapons against you and be out of their range by the time they try to turn around. Plus it's super fun to have it maxxed out and be so fast in normal space. Once had a buddy in a mamba challenge me to a race, said I could pick any ship I wanted. As starting pilot, this has to be the king of RES[Low], and yeah is drop dead gorgeous.
I've just gotten back in ED and I somehow ended up with one of these, it was the first ship i bought and i still have it, i just love the way it looks better than the standard eagle, and its not a bad little in system run about or bounty hunter, and it kinda reminds me of riding my motorcycle lol

Laughing throughout the video as you say it's pretty and keep it in the garage for a quick trip around the station.... laughing because you are 100 percent correct! It's the only reason I flew into Imperial space (I'm a Fed 4 life player) to buy this ship... the only one I really coveted for no reason other that it is gorgeous. Well done, sir!
I got it... watched someone else's video awhile back... all they did was bash it... they basically said it was the scout and the Eagle II was the explorer... I didn't care. It just looked so cool, and I had fun flying it. Was it the "best?" Nope. Did I have fun flying it? Yes. And, in the end, that was all that mattered.
You can get the FSD to 40 ly. Exploring in style with a small agile imperial eagle. It's a bit impractical though so I ripped out the AFMUs and scanners etc. replaced them with extra fuel tanks and flight assistance computers. Makes the prettiest bubble bus you can imagine!
Finally a new one yay! Still waiting for the Vette but please don’t rush! I know you will take your time and do it justice. Hard to wait though. Cheers!
Ah, the Imperial Eagle. Its weapons might not pack a punch, but its thrusters certainly do. I loved taking this thing down to planetary surfaces and boosting through canyons. Going lightweight with the chonkiest engineered thrusters really makes this thing sing.
Been flying a Keelback for a while, outfitted as an armed merchant/miner... And after I got tired of getting outturned by fucking everything (because I'm stupid and I won't run away from a fight), I stored that thing away and got an Imp Eagle, so I can pull 400G turns for no reason. Love it.
it's a 1st gen Tesla Roadster. well able to prove itself, but the original manufacturer of the chassis still has the crown when it comes to making it purr, even if you ignore the engine. But now its just another pretty ship in the lineup of the prettiest ships (yeah, we're ignoring the 1st gen model S and model X in this analogy) so you can't help but want it in your dream garage, lined up with all the other ships in the line.
Just started playing and immediately grabbed an imp eagle, purely for looks obviously, but boy this puppy be flying fast. Still trying to figure out a solid mix of components and hard points for solid design without too much overheating. I think I'll have to figure out engineering to get the desired result im looking for.
An Imperial Eagle outfitted with 3A Enhanced Thrusters from Felicity Farseer engineered to grade 5 can cruise at 600m/s and boost at 800 m/s. It's fucking fast, and if you fly in FAO while trying to encircle a fed at a federal Orbis Station - well, give it a try. You'll love it or die.
I bought this version of the eagle instead of the base model as I worked my way up the ladder to the Mamba. I lost count of the number of vultures I hunted down and outmanoeuvred.
The Imperial Eagle will always stay in my fleet. I had the most difficult time when I started off in this game. I could not survive combat, I couldn’t complete any missions due to piracy or lack of combat capability. And I finally had enough and decided to buy the imperial eagle and the rest is history. This ship showed me it is possible to be get shit done hahah.
I recently picked up one of these so I can fly around shinrarta dezhra. it's really not meant to fight anything it's just to normally mess around and stuff and I really don't have to worry about the rebuy at all
Needs to ditch the medium hardpoint for 2 small hardpoints (for 4 small max), upgrade the thrusters to next stage, upgrade the power capacitor to next stage, and offer kits like the other ships. Then it would be sick. Visual upgrades over the core eagle didn't really make it into the actual stat block as much as it could. Love the ship. Just needs some better core setup.
I've built mine for mostly speed but some utility. All speed everything except max full, good FSD and a size 1 bi weave shield. Not engineered yet. Haven't got anything engineered on any of my ships because I don't really think it's worth the stupid grind but ~900 mps is worth it and the engineering grind makes for a fun change of style compared to the usual. Speedway red is best skin on Imperial eagle btw
Okay, you got me on this one; the Imperial Eagle is quite eye catching. This is the one imperial ship I can call pretty. If only this airframe was a medium, competitive with the Krait and Python. (Or hell, a strong small class option at the least)
I really really really want to turn the Imperial Eagle into my main combat ship, it's beautiful and fun to fly. I'll definitely guarantee I'll use it if I ever find a group of friends to play with on playstation in a wing, but since I'm having trouble finding people to play with at all I'll just build it as best I can and focus on my Krait Mk II
how I feel after destroying an fdl in my eagle (this was the most harmless npc known to man and there were 5 security vessels helping me and i got like 3 lasers in sidewise)
The Imperial Eagle should be the de facto “Interceptor” of the game. It should be the fastest ship in the game by a fair margin(with a precarious, but still combat-effective build). It should specialize in giving chase to various Wing targets and quickly disabling modules with RGs or PAs(maybe even torpedos or missiles with fleet carrier backup). Regular Cannons are also effective at penetrating larger hulls, but they’re less about module sniping than other weapons.
my favorite ship for general fun, also: 3 HP, cant go wrong(if doing lazy bounties at nav points i will take a bigger death machine, or mining in a krait/vette)
My Imperial Eagle was my favorite ship, in fact, it was the only ship i could fly do to how long i used it, i simply wasn't able to fly or use anything bigger. Not that it ever bothered me, i was able to solo Anacondas and a pair of chieftains with it, and now that I'm getting back into the game, I'm worried I'll do the same thing. Jk, not worried about that at all, time to do some sick stunts.
I recently got me the imperial eagle and I am pretty happy with it. Ok, PC gameplay is something else than console and right now I can't play public due to my NAT code... But upgraded and equipped with some explosives on the 2 class wp rack you can be pretty annoying in gunfights with 1 or more ships as backup. 1v1 however can be different of course.
Hi there, please tell me the name of the song that's being played in the beginning of this nice upload video? I enjoyed watching your ships playlist contents... great job. Thanks a lots my friend.
The Imperial Eagle is pretty much the same as its sister ship, the Eagle (just a little more fancy in design). This little ship is a monster during combat. She's got very little shielding and hardly much armor,, but she hardly needs it. Her speed outmatches just about any other craft in the game. And the ship's 3 hardpoints gives this ship a lot more bite for the money. It is the more expensive version of its younger self. But her speed and firepower say a lot about this little hellion in combat. She's the ship you want if you're looking to gang up on "wanted" individuals and NPC's in Elite Dangerous. With the firepower this little lady carries, she gets the job done. And can escape in an instant.
7:07 wait, are those sequences from the game? it seems a bit too shiny to me. not that is ugly, quite the opposite infact, but it's strage to me... i have different memories. (maybe ED switched to RTX and i can't have it?)
this ship is like the fiat 124 of elite. at its core its a good reliable ship. then some foreigners with arguably more style made it cool and a little faster.
Buying an imperial eagle is like buying a Mexican Stratocaster. Both are great instruments that are good, but you just don’t have the full status symbol of being the original, high end product (courier/clipper or an American Strat)
Well that FDL was only a novice and it's not really indicative of any flight capability of the ship

(Or hell, a strong small class option at the least)
oooooooh, that would be great. 2 small on pilons, 1 medium on the bottom and 1 large on the top....
haven't click on a video so fast.
same, i just hope he doesnt say its... good...
@@Nekerfree its good.
4:40 took three world wars for every one else to figure that out?
Cheers for these videos they help us jaded commanders keep interest in Elite.
I've been away for a while. Still loving these tho dude. Keep it up
The Imperial Eagle should be the de facto “Interceptor” of the game.
"ya get me fam?"
😂😂😂
I like eagles a lot. When I see them in ressource zones it's like burning an ant with a magnifying glass.
used to troll shieldless with rails in 2015 in the then new iEagle...
EPIC video
my favorite ship for general fun, also: 3 HP, cant go wrong(if doing lazy bounties at nav points i will take a bigger death machine, or mining in a krait/vette)
Your videos are works of art.
I recently bought one of these when I was in Imperial space. I've named mine Rebel.
Oh God, I love this ship. I painted it racing green and named it "Ellen Ripley"
Amazing content as always, o7
There's something about thinking about aisling duval speaking slang that gets me
Even In the far far future, the legacy of the holy trinity lives on
Basically "Imperial English" is cockney! That was awesome mate
I absolutely love your videos... and im surprised there isn't one for the Federal Corvette
the imperial eagle is one of my personal favorite flyers. especially taking on bigger clunkers
And can escape in an instant.
those reviews remind me of the "rise and shine"-motivational videos
When Odyssey releases this thing is going to be the close air support meta with dumbfire missiles.
7:07 wait, are those sequences from the game? it seems a bit too shiny to me. not that is ugly, quite the opposite infact, but it's strage to me... i have different memories.
(maybe ED switched to RTX and i can't have it?)
Nope. Totally in game footage. The trick is finding a station with good lighting.
@@ThePilot_ your sequences are awesome!
Nice as always. Imperial eagle looks really awesome!
Another instant classic
this ship is like the fiat 124 of elite. at its core its a good reliable ship. then some foreigners with arguably more style made it cool and a little faster.
Buying an imperial eagle is like buying a Mexican Stratocaster. Both are great instruments that are good, but you just don’t have the full status symbol of being the original, high end product (courier/clipper or an American Strat)
Just change the pickups, sand the frets and voilà! Murican Strat!
petezzzz this guy strats
You all keep saying the corvette is next but what about the type 8?
It reminds me of a ship from the racing game wipeout
