One hand on 12, the other on the Glock.
lmfaooo
Always 💯😂
On bd
😂😂😂😂
U mean 12 and 45 😂
9 and 3 always if you’re doing road test in canada.
Oh really I didn’t know that
And also the US
@@adamshamoon3360 really? i thought it was 10 3
@@l6vepills178 what kind of random position is that? Stfu
It’s 10 and 2 now
these comments got me thinking bout an imaginary clock
Fr though
that’s the point
Yeah that's literally the point 😭
In the United States, is best if you use 9 and 3 or 8 and 4 positions. This will protect you from the impact of the airbag if you get into a accident.
it’s different now now your supposed to use 10-2 bc of something i forgot but the airbag thing changed
@@dixienormas407 Did it? I thought the 10 and 2 position was the old technique. I just completed my driver's education class a little over a year ago and they said it's better to keep your hands at 9 and 3 or 8 and 4. This was in Rhode Island and my friends in Massachusetts also learned the same thing. My parents were taught to use 10 and 2 when they took driver's education in New York about 24 to 27 years ago. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), it's best to use 9 to 3 on the steering wheel. I could be wrong though.
@@LeoZhu2005still 9-3 I took the test yesterday
@@dixienormas407no, it’s still 9-3, 8-4, 7-5, etc. 10-2 and higher isn’t advisable
@@zingonmobile8598ya same I use 9 and 3
Never cross your hands, always two hands on the wheel, 10 & 2 or 9 & 3 are the best, always keep your thumbs on the outside of the wheel almost as if you’re giving a thumbs up (in case of a crash, your thumbs will not get caught when the airbag blows up. I know a few who did this and one had a thumb taken off because of it)
How long is your thumb my man?
Lmfao nice jokes
but then your ribs are forced into the steering wheel and you shatter them 😂
Damn thank you for telling me this I have the test today but I drive a lot but not the right way
@@SayyyJo30 did you pass?
Not until after you've got your Licence 😁
Personally I found my instructor was very impressed when I had one palm right on the airbag. You just kinda twist your hand and it helps you keep control of the car, especially if you don't have power steering. You have to accelerate very quickly though
Mine found it impressive when I went on the highway to see what it topped out at
@@robert7100 definitely! A top speed test, also followed by a full slam brake test are very nice
mine found it impressive that i backflipped while driving
Why are you guys not using your feet to steer?
You guys steer?
7 and 5 is so comfortable and feels totally in control no matter what
Definitely, but my instructor tells me off for that. I don’t think that’s allowed in the UK
My favorite position to place my hands on the steering wheel is 1 and 9. It's the most comfortable for me.
Same
"Crossed Hand"
I mean seriously? 😂 - A Cripple
It means when turning a corner
12 5 the relax but stay focus pose.
yuh this is how I drive
one hand is more comfortable
If you do one hand here in California you will go back to DMV 😂😂😂
At least In Michigan, you can’t drive with one hand on the road test
Thnx I live in Michigan lmao
I prefer 10-4 or 10:30 1 hand
10 and 2 is comfortable to me
one hand bmw drivers
Bro, how'd you know? I always drive my e46 like that and I also never use my blinkers cx they use up car battery and it'll make my car slower just like having my A/C on...
Knees
My position: 7 and 3
yes, of course I'm weird, but I found it really comfortable to hold the steering wheel this way and I still have a good control over the car so I guess it's okay 😅
10 and 2 this is the way allows complete control anybody that says to have a gun in one hand doesn’t deserve a license even if it’s joking around firearms aren’t nothing to play with and is not a joke stay safe out there
Cross hands lmao
9 and 3 to be safe in Canada. Heard buddies that have lost points for doing one hand so depends on the tester
In new Zealand you can have you hands or hand anywhere on the wheel as long as you have complete control over the car
As Long as you keep 2 hands on you Can do whatever you want
The safest options are 9 and 3, or 10 and 2. 7 and 5 doesn’t give you as much control as you should have and hand over hand is just dangerous. I had to sit through 30 hours of driving school- Trust me, I know 😐
9 and 3 is always the way to go because your hands will mimic your wheels and show you which way your wheels are pointing
I got yelled at and called lazy by the drivers instructor for putting my hands on the bottom.
10 and 2 is the best if you dont want you re examer cut you on the middle of the exam
When I first started driving lessons I religiously kept my hands at 10 and 2. However with me being short and having short arms my steering was inaccurate and stiff.
I learned 9 and 3 is far more comfortable and my steering vastly improved
I do 9 and 3, left foot breaking too. I got dat racing diver position
12 and 22, if you know what I’m saying.
Dang if crossed ISNT allowed then idk how I’m suppose to turn and pass 😭
7 and 5 for me when when driving in a straight line and 12 5 when turning
Anyone with airbags are supposed to use 9 and 3. It protects your passenger from being struck in the face by your hand.
I’m just learning how to drive for some reason my right hand just keeps going to the Gear selector
9 & 3
Haha! It is intense in the beginning. Then you learn veteran driving.
For the test: 9 & 3.
For driving normally: 3.
10 and 2
Me driving with my feet
U setting us up for failure
according to someone i know in this area it’s 9 and 3. that’s uncomfortable for me and i feel like im more likely to make minor mistakes like that. can i ask the instructor where they would prefer that i hold it??
I put my hands on 10 and 4 that's just how I do best
I drive with one hand usually and it's usually on the 12.
You are allowed to cross arms when performing low speed maneuvers only
7 and 5 is a major no where I live. Only 10 and 2 allowed. Getting your driver's is really difficult in my country, most people fail at least once
7 and 5 da best
No. 9 and 3 is the best
@@revvR actually because of airbags it’s 9 and 3
@@pigeonette1 yeah my bad got confused between the two
No 10 and 2
What's the name of this song? It sounds fire🔥
one hand is definitely not allowed
7 and 2 goes so incredibly hard
1 way to fail 😂😂😂
Took my hand off the wheel to itch my face after a tweaker on a bike carrying some isht crossed the street and the instructor failed me…
I always do 9 3
For the Illinois driving test, should I have the hand on 9 and 3 or 10 and 2???
Right hand at 2 o clock, Left hand on the instructor’s lap.
Cap
No explanation, no telling us how it's done right, just cap. You big hero!
@abu yaseer you have a shop of caps
In pa it’s 10 and 2
9-3
I prefer 12 and texting method
6 o’clock with right hand only thank you very much.
Bruh one on the wheel on a test is never allowed 💀
Crossed hands? I thought that was disallowed.
It is in most states!
10 and 2 is how you drive.
My favorite is 10 and 2, just feels like you have more control
Commonly 10,12 if you ade left side which global set.
10-2 is good and lmao this funny when I was learning how to turn the wheel I would of do the crossed one
one finger 6o clock semi autonomus👍
😂
What about 6&12?? I use that on a daily!! Very very comfortable 😅
What about 2,7 ?
One hand is allowed. Thought that was a fail
just 5 for me, when the window is down my left arm is resting on the side of the car and my right hand on 12
U must have both hands on the wheel at all times
Lord, someone thought crossing their hands is a good idea?!
I'm 10 and 2
The first two are
Can you let the steering wheel feed through your hands?
I drive w my right hand on the wheel only 😊
I was always told u should never cross ur hands but is it ok if ur like making a sharp turn in a carpark cos you would only be in first gear
One on da wheel, and one on the coc
10 and 2 are no longer allowed
I feel like I’d do 7 and 5 because I’m a bit tall and my car is short
What others than 9 and 3 or 2 and 10 or 5 and 7
It’s 8 and 4 in Virginia
We’re not allowed to 1 hand on tests
But I drive 1 hand it’s just much easier and your arms don’t get tired that often
Or no hands and just legs so you can eat your snackies.
My dad does the Cross arms
I do 0 hands while I drive
One hand when you are shifting of course, otherwise you can't shift.
8 and 4 W
Finally! The comment I was looking for 😂
You CANNOT drive with one hard or cross them like that in the us, 7 and 3 is also something we don’t teach here
Then how do you shift if you cant drive with one hand?
@@Twongz_does_anything For the drivers test
7 and 5 is where it’s at fr
Or like my dad does, one thumb barely on the bottom of the steering wheel. (I'm joking, he's got 76 years driving experience) 10 & 2 it guy's 10 & 2. 😎
I drove with one hand and i failed the test
What about the knees ?
That's the best way to steer imo
I’ll feel so slow driving with two hands
10 2 in oklahoma. You use 1 is a automatic fail
Where is this? Right hand drive... But no mention of location?
Here in the UK most of this is not allowed.
10 and 2 is generally taught but 9 and 3 is both accepted and actually a better driving position as it allows your diaphragm to open up and makes breathing easier. It also allows your shoulders to relax more and help reduce stress and fatigue.
If you do any form of advanced driving this is what they will tell you. It is also common now when taking your CPC to learn this.
Crossing your hands is VERY MUCH not acceptable. You simply do not have full control of the vehicle.
You should also keep both hands on the wheel unless changing gear, and then the hands should return to the driving position.
7 and 5 is also not allowed as you do not have proper control of the wheel. Keeping your hands that low actually has an effect on your brain as they are often out of plain sight. You would have to look down slightly to see what your hands are doing.
I really want to know where in the world this guy is recording from.
10 and 2 yes but other no
One hand is definitely not allowed
Wait, you guys hold steering?
I do 7 and 5 when my arms get tired
