- A quick pup-date from me (see what I did there! xD): things have been pretty intense over the past few weeks but I wanted to pop on here to introduce you to Roka, the new member of our family, and to make an important point about living in quasi vs living a life that is totally ED free.
ps: I apologise for how awful the sound and video quality is on this, I just wanted to film a little update and hope to get back to making content properly in a little while, thank you xx
Please note: everyone's recovery journey is unique and it may be that the points I make in this video are not accessible and/or relevant to you so please, as always, take what helps and leave the rest.

I am so sorry, that your dad is unwell! I wish you strength and your cute little puppy will help you to stay positive!
KEEP GOING, just these simple words gave me so much support and courage .
❤❤❤❤❤
I got my own puppy (first as an adult) right as I hit rock bottom and then started recovery for real. It was hard. I had so much anxiety and stress around all the stupid little things that sucked the joy out of having her. However, dogs are the most gracious, loving creatures, and I was able to slowly become a better doggy mama for her. And really, she was what kept me going in recovery and was my only joy a lot of the time. I don’t regret getting her at all and am so grateful!
Enjoy your pup, Emily! And sending prayers for you dad. xx
Gosh thank you so much for sharing Hayley: dogs really are the absolute BEST
..so happy with your pup-date 😊(saw what you did there; totally love it!) ..Roka's adorable! I can attest, it was extremely difficult to take care of my dog when I couldn't even take care of myself, properly. I absolutely love animals, and would love to have another dog (Charlie passed in 2022, just shy of 16 1/2 yrs), but know, as you said, it will be so much more enjoyable/stress-free, when totally free from my ED. Lots of love for you; prayers for your Dad.
Thank you Susan. I'm sure there will be plenty more pup-dates haha! And your intuition is spot on here: by prioritising your healing now you are paving the way for future you to be able to really enjoy the experience of welcoming another four legged friend into your life xx
Aw ❤️🔥yayyy what adorable news♥️♥️♥️😝you’re going be an amazing parent!!
Emily, thank you for spreading your honesty, love and continued encouragement to those of us who so desperately struggle in secret. You’ve made a big impact in my own recovery and honestly a great friend in my healing process❤️🩹 :)

Thank you so much for these lovely words and I'm super pleased to know that my sharing is helping you in your recovery journey- this really does mean the world to me! xx
