So glad you made this and didn’t rush/fast forward the stacking part. I have my first wedding cake in April and this is what I’ll keep in mind when stacking :)
Your voice is calming and somewhat encouraging. This means a lot to me. I have a two tier wedding cake due tomorrow. Its fully frosted and freezes. I’m suppose to stack them at the wedding. Im very nervous coz its my first time stacking a cake with dowels. Thank god i watched this video. You gives me confidence.
Fantastic tutorial! I am making a 3 tier (10, 8, 6inch) red velvet with cream cheese icing. I am wondering about the effectiveness of the cream cheese icing. Do you think it will keep firm? Like one of the previous posts I'm supposed to stack at the venue ( which is a bit scary!) Will this freeze well? I have always made it fresh on the day as a 2layer. Thank you
I don't watch TV very often but I must say that if you EVER compete on a baking show I will TOTALLY watch every episode you are on! I enjoy your content and your personality.
Hello 😊, I got an order of a 3 tier cake from my mother in law , I have never made one before so I was looking for videos and saw yours and this encouraged me so much and honestly made me less nervous to make one because even though I’ve never made one I’m up for the challenge but this helped so much. Thank you so much! 💖
I am a LOVER of baking. It’s my happy place. I have never had formal training. This is by far the best channel for beginners. Thank you so much for all your videos. It’s made it less intimidating for me to do cakes.
I just love your videos! That cake is beautiful. My grandson just told me his friend would like me to make his wedding cake in about 11months. I got nervous cuz i just started this whole baking thing, starting with cupcakes and a few cakes. You make me feel like maybe I COULD actually make one after some/lots of practice. Thank you 🥰
Thank you so much!! making my first wedding cake tomorrow and that little gap in between each tier was the last thing my neurotic brain was worried about😅 I love what you did
Hello i have followed all of your videos and this one was very very helpful ... Had. Just one question maybe you could answer Did you add plastic straws to the middle layer ? Or just the base layer ?
Thank you for this great video! I kept finding videos that required the wooden dowels which seemed so daunting; I’m excited to try it with milkshake straws like you used! Quick question- if I’m making a two tiered cake, I would just use the dowels in the bottom cake? Do you include the cake board on the top cake or remove it before placing on top? Thanks!
Glad you did this so well. But my question is how do You get icing sugar freezed that is not staining your hands while putting it on the top of each other?
As long as it's covered in buttercream it will be fine! Or if your freezing it uniced wrap it well with plastic when they are a little warm to trap moisture from the steam and wrap with a last layer of aluminum foil. I find that they taste better when I do this. Good luck!
No but it’s not hard to do. After stacking the second tear measure out a wooden dowel and stick it on top all the way down to the bottom before putting the top-tier on
I would recommend watching cupcake jemma's video if you want a center dowel (the video has masterclass in the tile) . She has a detailed video that tells you how to do it with a cake board under each tier for more support.
@@twistedsprinklescakes3750 wow that's amazing! I was supposed to try it for the first time but the person canceled 😅 maybe it's for the better, I should practice a two tier on my own first
Hi! Is it safe to travel with a stacked cake like this without a dowel going through all the tiers?? I'm making my first 3 tier in a few week and I am petrified
Thank you for sharing your talent, I truly appreciate it💜. Do you know how tall the cake is? I’m trying to make a insulated box to transport the cake in.
If I use home made whipped cream instead of butter cream, can I freeze the cakes to handle them the way you did with the buttercream when trying to stack them?
Good job ma’am. I get scared to freeze my cake. Thinking it will melt or have water batches once out of the freezer. Pls note it’s hot in my country here. Africa. Nigeria. Thanks I await your reply.
It’s OK to keep it in the fridge. If you’re going to put it in the freezer you just need to warm it up slowly to prevent sweating so move it from the freezer to the fridge and keep it there as long as possible
Omg i finally found ur RUclips channel,I've been following you on instagram 🥰 could u please tell me how much does each tier weigh please, I'm a home Baker in goa, India ❤️ love your recipes...thank u , God bless you
I love your videos ❤ You have helped me so much 😁 I have my first 2 tier cake to make next week and I have already baked and frozen my layers but I'm very confused how to stack the cake and use the straws for support if the bottom cake is frozen ? Please help 🙏😅 Very confused baker here 😐

Thank u so much dearest was watching it from Zimbabwe
This cake is beautiful! I love the shape. It reminds me of a sleeping beauty cake but in my favorite flavor.

Thanks for the detailed tutorial, needed one without the center dowelling. May I ask why you skipped center dowelling? Thank you!
Thank you for this video 💞
I wanted to attempt a two tier cake just as a trial run and will definitely be using these tips 🥰🥰
Just in time! Good luck!
😊
I love watching your videos I learned so much! For a 6in and 4in tier cake do you need the straws or dowls in the middle or no ?
Beautiful love your video it was very helpful❤ but can someone tell why when I put my cakes in the fridge and take it out why its sweating.
Beautiful and simple cake! You are a pleasure to follow here and on IG, you are so soothing. Thank you!

Really helpful. Am a new Baker and was wondering how to stack cakes with cream together.

Your chocolate buttercream looks so fluffy and delicious is it possible to share your recipe please. Thanks in advance
Loved this video I’m making my first 3 tiers cake in 10 days! My only question is how would you cut it to serve?
I’m asking myself the same question lol
You have to remove the tier and cut it
Yes like vee said you have to remove the tiers and take the straws out before serving
You are my inspiration.....Keep going... 🖤🖤🖤From India

Hey I really love your ig page and YT channel!! Also, first one to comment😁
Yay! Happy you’re here too!
Did you put the straws in the second tier cake too?
Do you find that freezing your cakes ever makes them dry once thawed? I’m always hesitant to do it but I see so many people doing it.
As long as it's covered in buttercream it will be fine! Or if your freezing it uniced wrap it well with plastic when they are a little warm to trap moisture from the steam and wrap with a last layer of aluminum foil. I find that they taste better when I do this. Good luck!
Why are the cakes frozen? Will they Taste the same as if Not frozen? Thanks for the awesome video
Did you put straws in the six inch cake?
Hello is it really sont need central dowel ?
Do you ever put a center dowel when you transport your cakes? Im dying for you to do a video like this? Pretty please 🙏.
No but it’s not hard to do. After stacking the second tear measure out a wooden dowel and stick it on top all the way down to the bottom before putting the top-tier on

You’re welcome! It’s the Wilton 1M
Hi! Is it safe to travel with a stacked cake like this without a dowel going through all the tiers?? I'm making my first 3 tier in a few week and I am petrified

Is it straws in the second tier cake?
Good job ma’am.

thank you! Did u leave the cake board on the second one?
Yes. She did.
Do you not have to put the straws for support in the second tier as well?
Yes you do, she mentioned it but didnt demonstrate. Just the same process but as the top cake is lighter you can do 3 or 4 straws
You are amazing and your technique is amazing ❤️

Your buttercream recipe please? :)

Since the cake is frozen, do you leave it out at room temp or put it back in the fridge before serving?
Cakes should always stay chilled until about 20-30 minutes before serving
In the fridge I mean. But they can be frozen for a couple weeks
What til are u using ?.
Hi. Could we get the buttercream recipe please
Magnifique 😍 travail
I love your videos ❤ You have helped me so much 😁 I have my first 2 tier cake to make next week and I have already baked and frozen my layers but I'm very confused how to stack the cake and use the straws for support if the bottom cake is frozen ? Please help 🙏😅 Very confused baker here 😐
Just let it defrost enough to be able to put the straws in.
