I saw my first one "in the wild" yesterday. It impressed me as looking somewhat like a Tesla. I'm thinking that people who purchased last year's model are kicking themselves.
the legacy of the prius speaks for itself the haters can hate all the way to the gas pumps, to the repair shop and to the auto dealer to buy another car when theirs fall apart prius is a road dog prius rocks prius prime is even greater
I saw one today. The car looks absolutely amazing!
Just saw one today lol. Saw it on the road, thought “WTH is that?” When I saw it was a Prius, I immediately looked it up and got here.
I would love a wagon version of this like they used to have.
Same
Corolla Touring Sports!
Agree. They really need to come out with a crossover/suv version
Thats the nicest looking Prius❤ 👍🏻
We agree!
Love that yellow colour
That yellow makes a lot of sense! Beautiful!
It does!
I hate that the yellow is not offered in the US. Why not? Weird
Where can i get yellow?
@@Anonsym386 Canada. Yellow not available in the US. You can always have it wrapped afterwards. Not sure how that would cost
@lalalal8111 same in LA, but the color still looks awesome on this car, and I've never been a fan of yellow for a car because it does remind me of a taxi.
Remove the cargo foam and you have plenty of room for the stroller. Also when you're in the driver's seat you can see the cluster the steering wheel is adjustable just move it down a bit and you'll see the cluster just fine. I'm 6'1 I and did this
I'm 5'-11" and had no issues with seeing the dash cluster
late to this review but drove it yesterday and my concern was what some reviewers had implied about that display. Was a non issue, I am 5'8" saw all of the display. Am considering this and searching for GTA stock
Okay next Race. All Prius / Hybrid race!
Great review, well done! One comment though - the Prius is a small car. It's not marketed as a family sedan, so it shouldn't be a surprise that it isn't the best at accommodating child seats and strollers in the trunk. That's what SUVs and minivans are for.
It sucks we Americans can't get this yellow gold Prius.
Really?
You need to do a same style video review for the Corrola Cross Hybrid (if they offer it in Canada), it seems to be a good solution to the interior issues you, so funny, demonstrated!!!!
Noted
Did you ever do a search to see if it's offered in Canada?
the biggest negative is the head room
The bad
And the lack of a spare
But the headroom is only really an issue in the back seat for people more than 6' tall so it won't be an issue for the vast majority of people. Even the person at 6'-2* had enough room in the driver's seat
@@mrxman581 yes but besides the hybrid system....you have to remember the prius was so good bc of it's versitility. The headroom was a main selling point, good for taxi/uber, enough cargo space to even live in the car comfortably or carry large items. All that requires head room... it's a no for me.
@@herewegoagain7403 yes, that's true too but that was never the reason the Prius was first made. The primary reason was efficiency. The 2nd gen Prius was extremely popular for it's efficiency and technology. My famous people owned one. It only became known for its versatility later. Taxi companies started using it after the third generation came out. A lot of regular people still didn't trust the new hybrid system after the 2nd gen. Also, Toyota made a larger version for awhile but it never sold that well. They also made a smaller version that also didtaell as well. I think they were the V and C versions.
When the Prius came out, it was the only hybrid so it has to address multiple markets. Now Toyota has multiple vehicles that can address different markets. The Prius no longer has to be that versatile. The compromises they made make sense. If you want more room there are other models now, but the new Prius is being positioned more towards a sporty sedan closer to what a Model 3. I wouldn't be surprised if Toyota comes out with a more powerful version of the Prius in the future.
great car but the real problem is: no spare tyre!
love that color
This Race Yellow Prius actually looks pretty good. Only this new design can pull off with a Race Yellow.
All that matters is ease of entry and cargo space access and useful (square) cargo space. They are punishing people with sore backs.
If the ride is soft, you must be riding on the Michelin tires. I test drove one with Toyo tires and the road noise was loud.
I believe only the first generation was a sedan, all the other ones have been liftbacks
Excellent
Yes, space, painful. Clearly, engineered for short, slender, people, women, the Japanese, although some I know personally are actually rather tall.
Fabulous colour
Very good
Is that color available in Canada? Definitely not one of our choices south of the border. Bummed
Are you aware that the drag coefficient of the 2023 Prius is worse than the generation it replaces??
Good one
We got pimped on that sweeeet color here in the U.S.🙄
😬😬😬
with that color its looks like taxi, after all Prius is used as a taxi, it will be nicest looking taxi I guess......
@@potatoninja6922 When you put it that way, I am glad we didn't get that color.
It was a political choice for Toyota to offer it only in Canada. 😉
@fcnghkkc1 well congrats to you guys for that option, looks incredible in THAT color😎
amazing...
Huge on the outside/tiny on the inside. Done with aero if this is all they can do. The arc of the roof is too flat and it's basically a large radius that has been dropped way down only for aero. There's no practicality here unlike earlier models..... The Prius V might be the champion in this arena
Nice
I've had two prius and was absolutely looking to buy this new one until I sat in it. Wayyyyy to small inside. Probably gonna wait for new camry
Wayyyy "to" small?
It's actually bigger than my 2nd gen Prius side to side and front to back both inside and out. However, it does have less headroom space and a little less cargo space. At 5'-11" I had no issues with the headroom space. The only place where I would be negatively affected would be with the cargo space. But, if I can, I'll remove the styrofoam underneath the floor liner to have more functional room. I tested the regular Prius but have a deposit on a Prime
The PRIUS letters in the back beg to be removed for a cleaner look
I did on my 2024 XLE
Amazingn
Good 😊
that color does make it look like a taxi.
2:14 drag efficiency? Lol, you mean drag coefficient, Cd.
The car costs $30k. Why should I buy it over say a Nissan Sentra that costs $22k, gets 40mpg on the highway, and is very refined to drive - other than acceleration?
Better interior, more tech, more refined driving. Plug in hybrid option
Toyota is making a huge mistake if they don’t follow this design cues in their other cars.
Lovely 🌹
Sensational video.
Thank you kindly!
Look at the clock and ask for forgiveness until the next ❤❤❤ minute
Bro mean 2024😂
Never thought I would hear the word ugly associated at all with that prius
⚫⚫If I had the cash, I would buy one, but already tapped out with my fk8 and fk7, and working to build my own concept car from scratch
Never said ugly
@@SamCarLegion I know, just saying the word "ugly" was seen in the title.
I know you were not referring to the looks, but little dislikes about components in the car.
Exactly:)
200+ hp no paddle shifters, wat?
What exactly are you gonna shift? It has an eCVT. The only thing I can think of for paddles is regen braking.
Loons like a model 3
The ultimate taxi cab 😮
Imagine a Prius GR. Haha !!
Take my money
with lmp1 GR lemans racing technology its not unrealistic.
👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👍
At 12:14 timeline who is driving prius 😊😊
Wife
@@SamCarLegion that's great Sam ...
just wondering everytime you drive new car for reviews how the insurance situation works out ?
If you don't mind sharing this information
They cover it :)
Too many Cons !!
Also no rear wiper is another....
List what are the cons?
@@fcnghkkc1
Roof line too low ~
Small leg room in back~
Very small cargo area ~
@@bextar6365there is actually more leg room than in my 2nd gen Prius. The roofline is lower but will only be an issue for more taller people and then more so in the back seat. Even thie guy in the video at 6-2 was fine in the driver's seat
with all the respect this is a daily trash
How?
@@SamCarLegion I bet u won't pay 40k for all the kinds of disappointment.
@@fanomatos19 it’s surprisingly fun. I’ve already gotten my first ticket in it in my 13 years of driving. Got clocked doing 95 on the highway.
You like domestic cars?
@@BonanzakingSomeone driving over the speed limit in a Smart car can be ticketed as well. What’s your point?
Your thumbnails look just like TheStraightPipes... be your own person/brand. Come up with something new 🥱
Sure the pipes didn't come up with it too lol
@@ju4121 Who else do you see with their thumbnails like this? Be fr
If they don't mind. why do you? Besides, there are no more original thumbnails.
@jaden magazines specifically auto magazines have used that roller shot many many times, so this isn’t new. It’s just now being used for RUclips thumbnails.
