- Can New Super Mario Bros. U be beaten without ever touching a single coin? New Super Mario Bros U is one of my favorite Super Mario games, I replay it every couple of months. But I usually not only try to beat NSMBU, but I also challenge myself to play through the game in a certain way, so that it stays fun, and challenging. So for my latest playthrough I thought it would be fun to try to collect the least amount of coins possible, while still beating New Super Mario Bros. U.
In this video we will discuss, all the problems we face when we try to beat New Super Mario Bros. U coinless, and we will finally find out what the minimum amount of coins required is, in order to beat the game!

Well considering what coins are used for in mario games, little instant dopamine or "it just feel good to collect coins in a mario game" putting a inavoidable coin as that is bad design, coins feel rewarding when you have to collect the coin, but in that one you dont collect the coin, you just are droped on it, so it do not make that sensation, is not big thing, is in fact a minuscule thing, but still that coin is a coin that should not be there

In fire snake cavern, I’ve found out that using a mini mushroom will work. As soon as you exit the pipe, quickly keep spinning to the right until you reach the wooden flying planks. You’ll dodge the sneaky coin.

Never seen one of your videos, nor do I really even watch Mario runs, but this was fantastic. I love how the mechanics of coins added a whole new set of challenges. Damn those sneaky ninja coins!
To be honest when I first found ceave, i was kinda put off by his accent and quirky style. But now I am so in love with his goofy charm, and the effort he puts into his content. Every time he says "hooray" I get the biggest smile. I wouldn't change a single thing about this channel.

Joseph Parkes that’s actually impossible, you can’t reach the flag if you don’t move
In Fire Snake Cavern, you can use a Mini Mushroom to get past it. Also, by finishing a level after 1-2 at a certain time, you can get a Mini Mushroom. Personally, I beat NSMBU Coinless by using a variety of tricks, such as, the Acorn Suit, Mini Mushroom, Multiplayer, and even Boost Mode. Good video, though!
I decided to look into this level myself, and turns out you don't even need the mini mushroom to avoid that coin. Do a well-timed spin as soon as you come out of the pipe as small Mario and you can avoid it that way, too.

@@James-ce6dc Super Mario Galaxy 2 is for the Wii, not the Wii U, I know, confusing, but just keep in mind, the Wii does not have an U in it.

@@James-ce6dc I know that Wii games can be played on the Wii U, but why would you want a Wii U capture card if you have a Wii capture card? If you don't have a Wii capture card, than why not buy a Wii capture card, Wii U capture card's are cheaper? Do you not have a Wii? Why would you want to play a Wii game on the Wii U, if you can already do it on the Wii?
