Automakers clearly want to drive up the average vehicle price. Most of them stopped making affordable vehicles because people would buy them and ruin the average ticket for dealers. Ford for example has no cars at all except for the Mustang. It's SUV or Truck only.

Number 1 reason I wouldn’t pay $123,000 for a jeep: because it has a small 3.0 V6 engine. What ever chance it had getting that money for the big beefy reliable 6.4 V8 they had in the Series 3 last year. That is gone this year. Well the sales too also just disappeared for jeep with these baby sized engines with a mass of turbos on it. Problem city when asked to tow anything! I’d pass and get the V8 Escalade and also pass on the baby V6 Lincoln Navigator. Also much too big like this for a baby engine.
I had a Grand Wagoneer Series II as a rental car for a week about 6 months ago. I really liked it a lot, great engine, but there was no way I’d spend the $100k that model costs.
It is a very expensive, complicated vehicle that will have a lot of very expensive electrical crap to go wrong with thousands of repair costs when things fail.utterly impractical

We love ours, ordered the same color but with the blue interior. Only regret is not getting the L. The HO Hurricane engine is impressive, it really gets that big brick moving. Anyone buying Jeep for over invoice is paying to much, if you look around you can find dealers to order you one for up to 7% of invoice. Yes you have to wait a few weeks but you get exactly what you want and you save a lot.

I was in my friends $110,000 Grand Wagoneer and I was NOT impressed. It didn't look or feel like a $110.000. I've been in 10yr old Porsche Cayennes and MB GLS suvs that looked and felt like $110,000. I didn't tell him that. I just told him "Congratulations."
I spending 80k on a Grand Cherokee 4xe coming from a 2017 Grand Cherokee. Let me tell you I will never buy a Jeep or any Stellantis product ever again. The quality is just not there for what you get and the experience at service departments at every Jeep dealer I’ve been to has been terrible. Traded in the 4xe for an Escalade 14 months later.
Ohhhh…the MacIntosh stereo system is easily $15,000 of this sticker price. Jesus, I bet it sounds extraordinary inside the cabin. Isn’t the power rating for the stereo in excess of 10,000 watts, powering 27 speakers????
Wonderful SUV, well worth the cost. Driving my Wagoneer up and down the east coast and through the central west all year round is a phenomenal experience with the lady and two friends. Set up an air bed, a microwave oven, a mini refrigerator, installed satellite television and internet service, stop anywhere to use the bathroom and clean. The most amazing time is driving the Wagoneer from one climate state to another, from cold dark pail sky’s and snow covered highways to dry, warm, sunny places.👍
For $123k this is too much. It looks great and I hope it is of a good quality and is reliable in order to justify that price. I’ll pass on a new but that thing will depreciate heavily and will be a nice 3-4 year old used bargain.
This has more features than the Escalade so for the money this or the Navigator which also has more features than the Escalade is the better buy for your money
Stellantis should have used the money on Wagoneer development and used it on a next gen V8 instead. The way GM & Ford is doing, knowing full well their truck buyers will still want a V8 powered truck in some form. Instead they developed a slow selling full size Jeep while their bread and butter 1500 trucks will sit on the lots with their traditional customers moving to GM or Ford.
At least you have something valuable when you pay off your mortgage. If you keep the Jeep long enough to pay it off, it will be worth next to nothing and still burning through your money as it sits in the repair shop.
Keep complaining about the price but it is in line with an Escalade end the Navigator but offers a vehicle that's a little different and has real personality and you guys are so excited about the first and only features and marveling at how beautiful and well done it is
We have a base series 1 Wagoneer L and we absolutely love it. The kids actually fight for the third row because it is so comfortable! Way better third row visibility compared to Expedition or Suburban! Some people bad mouth the way it looks, but after living with it and experiencing the interior space and comfort, there is no going back!

Coming from SO, you can't really grade brake manually by downshifting, but the tow haul mode does a decent job, and actually the cruise control seems to be the best way to do it. You will be using some brake applications here and there, coming from a v8, but its not terrible

The Grand Wagoneer is far more refined than the Lincoln Navigator and the Cadillac Escalade. Had the latter, have a new Grand Wagoneer Series 2.

It really irks me to hear that I have to watch out for motorcycles when they are overtaking at well over the speed of traffic, weaving in and out of traffic, etc. I pray that you are one of the responsible ones.

Prices are HEFTY. But it's safe to say every brand is at this price range currently. The only reason they don't sell is mainly because of the trash reputation from DaimlerChrysler.
And now it having only a baby 3.0 V6 it will sell even less.
