Having a 2023 GW-L S3, I can attest to everything you referenced. The automated functions aren't perfect, of course (none of them in the industry have yet to have full confidence), but it's quite handy. Takes a bit to get used to, with just letting the vehicle completely take over aside from being able to halt itself at a stop light (barring there are no cars in front of you to give itself a signal to slow/stop). However, after being diagnosed with trigger point issues and it impacting use of my hands, being able to lean on the automated features when needed for an assist is great.
Murphys oil soap for hardwood floors is the best detailing soap for taking off bugs, tar, permanent marker, stickers etc... on automotive paint surfaces. A custom car friend of mine turned me on to this stuff yrs ago.
Nice video and great content on your review on this vehicle and your experience on the road trip. Came across this just now and I was curious on why u where trading it. I myself just purchased a 23 wagoneer 4x2 with the incline 6. So far so good but I am blown away on how comfortable the drive is from driving a ram 5.7 for 6 years. Keep up the great reviews on this outstanding vehicle.
Perfect video. I love the Grand Wagoner Absidion. Will be getting it all BLACKED OUT with the tan interior, and all options. Good luck, and the new owner will be getting a well maintained Wagoner .
This is awesome! Placed an order on the Grand W. Short back and can't wait! We're in the queue line next to build. Happy about your review. Thanks for sharing.
Good video. With my growing family I was looking at either Tahoe or ford expedition and completely left out the wagoneer. Are you glad you went with the wagoneer compared to other large suvs like the expedition or Tahoe? I may need to reconsider the wagoneer especially with he longer version. With your next Wagoneer I would recommend getting the front PPF’d. Would give you peace of mind knowing you can can spray and wipe with some elbow grease and not scratch up the paint. Brave family doing that road trip with a baby !
I’ve rented the Tahoe and Suburban, but never the Expedition. The seats inside the Wagoneer are very similar to a Suburban or Tahoe, and the space is crazy big. Definitely happy we went with it, and ppf is a must! We just never thought we’d take this car that far across country!
When we do road-trips in our 23 GW III, we remove the middle seat in the second row. Yes, that is exactly why we got the 2ed row seat option. Having that seat removed allows for easier access for the kids.
I have an expedition and a Sierra 1500 Denali ( same seats as in suburban/ Yukon/ Tahoe). I would like to say that seats in GM are not comfortable. Front seats are too short, lacking thigh support. Stepping into the expedition, instantly you feel the seat is more plushy. Hope this helps you.😊
@@darrint2350so you bought the bench but remove that middle seat for temporary captain seats? I know people do this in expeditions. Didn’t release you could in the wagoneer.
Bro, you need your own show. Although I like this vehicle I will probably never get it bcuz I can't afford it, yet I watched the whole video. I truly appreciate you just keeping it real. I can't keep up, I'm still just trying to get nice rims for my Jeep SRT, LOL. Stay real, stay blessed brutha.
Custer State Park does NOT suck, great park. Great hiking trails, beautiful lakes to fish and swim in. Buffalo herds, and mule deer running around. If you just drove around, I can see why you might think that.
2010 Jeep Commander 300000 miles no recall no problems for 13 years. First time needed to be towed was in February of 2023 when my water pump went. Would give anything to buy a Wagoneer but way out of my price range. Hope to keep “ Big Red” going for as long as possible. Love my Commander. Oh and my navigator never failed but WAZE has.
I had an 09 Commander I got 205k out of. Drove it daily since November ‘09, water pump went out this summer, and cracked the head 🫣 only problem I EVER had out of it! Now the wife wants a Wagoneer.
Thank you for the final pep talk lol because I REALLY wanna buy a Wagoner but online reviews are killing me. I love it more than any vehicle out there, and I test drove it yesterday and it was soo smooth.
Hey, a couple things. Our 23 GW IIi came with 22” wheels. The spare is a useless 18”. I never had issues with gas. I drive it almost to empty and at time I got the warning light. I averaged 15mpg over the 11k miles.
Although the spare has 18" wheels, the sidewalls on that tire are taller than the thin profile on the 22 inch wheels. Therefore, both tires have the same circumference and diameter. It's not "useless".
You summa...I swear to Jesus!! I'm glad I came across this video. I'm talking my wife into getting a wagoneer as her new vehicle. She will def be watching this. Thank you for such an honest review. Absolutely loved it.
Please share a link to the 2024 Wagoneer. I've only seen info on the 2024 electric version. I can't believe the 2022/2023's Wagoneer Series 3 don't have power fold mirrors as an option. Only available with the Grands. Is that standard in the 2024's? With a vehicle that wide, it should be standard. Thanks!
OMG tell me about it. I bought a 2022 Wagoneer S3 and I was disgusted with the fact it didn't have folding mirrors. I thought that was bs smdh. Should have been standard at that price.
Really appreciate your review ! Actually own a 2022 ram and looking into one of those with a kid, an other one on the road and a BMD that weights 95 pounds! Got a question. Why 91 with a Hemi? I own a Ram with 5.7 and owned a 6.4 and it can be driven with 87 and 89! For the tires, I always switch OEM ones. The 2023-2024 seems to come with nexen tires. Bf and falken does really nice all terrain tires! You were in the MP? Leo here for 9 years now. Thanks for your service ! And again, really nice and honest review!
Love the Wagoneer....floats down the road over bumps and quiet. Steering very easy makes the big SUV feel small. Sits on a 2500 frame so kids and wife are safer while on the road.
You’re 100% correct. Topping off is always good policy. We do the same. One never knows when you might get stuck in traffic or end up in an area w/o power.
I am in the market for a new SUV and you just made my choices harderr, I have been looking at the Lincoln and the GMC now tomorrow I am going to my local Chrysler dealer. So thank very much
I'm looking at the 2024 Grand Cherokee, just waiting for it to be announced. Currently have a 2016 Cherokee that has been flawless. Just 51000 miles, but other than tires, brakes, oil changes and inspections, nothing else wrong with it to date. Although looking at your interior, wish they would use less black piano pieces on the newer SUVs. You can see all the dust and finger prints. Like to see carbon fiber or even more leather on some of those surfaces.
The Grand Cherokee has always been the best looking non-luxury SUV. The Wagoneer's exterior is very vanilla and has ZERO charisma. They could've incorporated some of the old Wagoneer features to make it resemble the iconic old Wagoneer shape. Picture John Candy's Wagoneer in "The Great Outdoors" with a modern flare.
Never use chemicals to remove bugs, just high pressurized water. And when possible clean using regular ‘seltzer’ water. ‘Synthetic’ oil change every 7500 miles. I hope you enjoy your Wagoneer because it’s a wonderful vehicle, and so wonderful to take across the country. It feels so safe and secure particularly when driving near 18 wheelers on those long picture perfect highways and byways. We Like stopping at every ‘eatery’ and trying out different foods, Texas has those huge beef ‘bar b q’ ribs, and visiting the amazing roadside hotels and taking pictures of great scenic routes. We’re also thinking about upgrading to the ‘Grand Wagoneer’ and installing a 35 inch flat screen television, and an inflatable bed, and a portable stove, and a tent stored on the roof. Enjoy. I own the 2023 GW series 3. With 4 kids and the wife we drove it from Colorado to Florida and up the East Coast. Total of 11k miles with one accident. We were rear ended in Florida at a traffic light. So far the damage is estimated at 10k. So not the end of the world. All in all, this inline 6 SUV has been a top notch. Minor complaints that just are not worth mentioning except I do believe that the air circulation could be better. I am also going to trade ours in for the L version. Not that it is necessary for 70% of our driving, but that extra room on our road-trips would be welcomed. Great video btw
You know how to pack cause you’re Army. My father packed up ‘59 Mercury station wagon for a family of 7 for a camping vacation. He knew how to pack that vehicle cause he was Army also! Not to mention setting up camp.Thank you for your service!👍🙏
A few things, just to help if you didn’t know, which you probably already do. (1) You have to get the Wagoneer “L” or Grand Wagoneer “L” to get the extended wheelbase. (2) you can extend the Jeep’s bumper-to-bumper warranty up to 8 years / 125,000 miles (3) The new 3.0L Inline-6 has replaced the 5.7L and 6.4L HEMI engines, and most people agree that it is a better fit for the vehicle since it is smoother, nearly silent, and has way more power, plus marginally better MPG’s. You can get the V8 on the Series 1 variants, but not the Series 2, 3, or Carbide additions. Wagoneer L and Grand Wagoneer L models are only available with the I-6. It is turbo charged. (3) Ford offers the best extended b-2-b policy, which covers the vehicle up to 10 years / 175,000 miles. The equivalent vehicle would be the Expedition MAX OR Navigator L, both of which also use turbo charged 6 cylinders.
We are buying a used 2022 Wagoneer Series III to tow behind our RV and it’s big enough to tow our Tri-toon boat and selling a 2000 Jeep GC and 2013 Yukon Denali. It will be nice to get rid of 2 cars for 1 dual purpose vehicle. We are excited to have it shipped to us soon. Thank you for your service!
LOVED you calling out those "brand-nomers"! I hate that crap! They all talk their crap as if their "BRAND" is absolutely flawless and perfect, which is impossible. I've been Mopar my entire life, and all of the good FAR outweighs the little gremlins and annoyances. I'm on my third Powerwagon right now, and it's not my third because I got rid of the previous two because of problems, it's just about upgrading to newer models and getting newer gadgets and gizmo's and features. I really love the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer and I'm sure one of those is in my near future as we have a big family with lots of stuff and we like to travel. I just gotta check the tow capacity and towing reviews for the RV pulling.
You’re right. Every brand will have warranty issues. No one is perfect. You just hope the vehicle you get has a limited amount of gremlins and if you do, fix it and keep rolling
I love my wagoneer! I’ve had no issues if anything I’m going to trade it and get the carbide or obsidian because I want black on black everything ! Best suv I’ve owned so far! I got rid of my Tahoe for the wagoneer.
I have an 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited with a 5.7 what's a multi-displacement engine and I can also use regular 87 octane gas or 91 and sometimes I use e85 and it still runs great it's how you take care of it and it's paid off too
like to get one to tow my airstream. dealers don't order the hd tow package so no new or used, like the light color int , when I tow drive for a hour, stop, top off it ease the pain if you are on empty and have to fill up
I won’t hold my breath, my 21 Durango hellcat is still needing rebooting daily and the wagoneer needs rebooted every few weeks. My 21 ram has been perfect
I have U-connect in my Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland, 2022, and my Chrysler 300c Platinum 2019, never a problem. We just bought a new Grand Wagoneer with a 3.0L Twin Turbo Hurricane inline-six that is outstanding and has the latest U-Connect system. Ours is not the L, it is the Series 3 regular length and I too am sick to death of people telling me Jeep has issues. I have never owned anything but Chrysler vehicles and the only problem I have had is a faulty battery in a 2015 Chrysler 300c, which was replaced under warranty.
So glad Itook time to listen to your video. Heard so much negativity about JEEP. Every car has something wrong with it, thats why we are given warranties. I gonna trade in my JEEP CHEROKEE L fo a WAGONEER, Thanks for the heads up.
New follower here. I enjoyed your video. I have a 2023 grand cherokee and its got 10000 miles. The starter gets stuck sometimes when I push the button. Did your wagoneer do this?
I have a 2022 with the 5.7L and I recently rented a 2023 with the twin tubos and that's the worst thing Jeep did to this vehicle. The new Wagoneers and Grand Wagoneer no longer comes with the Hemi 5.7L or the 6.2L. The average mile I got was 13.5 mpgs on the highway
@@EastCoastJeepSRT thank you! I have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and need a bigger vehicle. Love your Wagoneer. I appreciate all the input you gave us! I’ll make room in my garage for sure:) thanks!
Hey man! I just stumbled across your channel. I have a video for you to watch. Auto Auction Rebuilds Grand Wagoneer experience and see how much miles he put in a month. Just saying maybe you would want to watch that idk. Cool video man! Have a great day!

Me USAF 1984-90 had just topped off at Baker summit, got back on the 15 heading to Vegas from So Cal 2mi up the 15 sadly a multicar fatality accident had occurred, sat on the 15 freeway in 110 degree heat for 4 hours, I was good. Kept my water bottles for you know what else millitary training teaches us about disposing of our bio waste and the enemy not being able to follow a waste trail. Thanks for the great review. Will you be happy with the new straight Twin turbo in line 6?
great video, I have a 22 wagonee series II....only issue is the u connect. been on trip averaging 23+ mpg..around town grocery getter 19.5 ...traded in my 19 suburban for this wagoneer...we are dedicated chevy believers too...sounds like the new spec size will get you closer to the surburban size...
The reason why there aren't guardrails in most western states is because of snow removal. You can't push the snow off the road(s) if there are guardrails.
i actually don't use built in oil life meter, because i don't want it go off at 90% when i'm on my way somewhere, so i set one of customizable digits to permanently display oil mileage... certainly hope the new full digital cluster did not loose the function the old 7" center displays could provide
only thing i want to say after a great review like this is.. topping off isnt great for the car itself though. I was taught in winter you fill it at the half way mark, summer you wait until you get down to 20% to preserve the cars life span. I understand your reasoning and it makes sense but im not sure that should be 'the norm'
We also narrowed down to the Lexus TX , Wagoneer and the Grand Highlander. we already decided the Grand Highlander was not it due to the narrow third row seats. Prefer the Lexus with 2 seats in 3rd row. But love the Wagoneer. Waiting on the price of Lexus TX to come out to make final decision.
So your upgrading to the Wagoneer L with the new hurricane engine as well. If you ever have to reset the radio hood the power and tuner button for a few seconds.
Never had a issue with my uconnect. Had screen delamination, but never a glitch with software. If I was going to king size my suv, I'd probably after towards Cadillac. But Durango is big enough for my needs and I still get to keep my SRT driving experience.
I took my 2012 Jeep Liberty across the country without a problem. She had 150,000 miles with a rebuilt transmission. Extra large trunk. Extra clean and in new condition in silver gray! She can tow up to 5,000 lbs. The Jeep Liberty was designed to replace the classic Cherokee. I get about 15 city 🏙️ and 25 highway 🛣️ Whenever l travel 🧳 l keep at least 1/2 tank of gas. While an Uber driver here in Las Vegas traffic l’m lucky to keep a 1/4 of tank of gas. It cost over $100 dollars 💸 to fill the tank. ⛽️😳 I served in the Army Reserves and the US Navy. 🇺🇸 Thanks for your service!
Hello! We rented a W S2 back in March for Spring Break and my cousin currently owns a GW S3 and both of which we love. The normal Wagoneer was super comfortable and smooth riding perfect for the 16-hour roundtrip we took and had extremely good gas mileage only issue was CarPlay connectivity. My cousin seems to love his Grand and hasn’t talked about any issues since he got it back in September. I also love the Grand Cherokee L as we also rented one of those back in July and I’m looking into getting one as my first car. Overall Jeep has upped their game and I’m excited to see what’s in store for the future.
Hi handsome. Great channel and car review. A couple of questions: 1st , Im 46 years old , do you recommend joining the army for 2 or 4 years? 2nd , how did your cabin handle the outside noises? 3rd was the cabin sealed from dust and wind ? 4th would you consider getting a 2024 Lexus GX 550 Luxury + or the GX overtrail + ?
1) Age doesn’t matter. Can you pass the PT test for your age group? 6 push ups, 26 sit ups, and a 24 minute 2 mile run is what you’ll need for your age group. 2. The Wagoneer’s canine handles outside noise incredibly well. It’s very quiet inside. 3. No dust or wind gets in. 4. Neither. Don’t know anything about them so I couldn’t give you an honest opinion.

I love my wagoneer! I’ve had no issues if anything I’m going to trade it and get the carbide or obsidian because I want black on black everything ! Best suv I’ve owned so far! I got rid of my Tahoe for the wagoneer.
You really dumped a Tahoe for it? Please tell me everything about the Wagoneer. I’m on the edge about it.
I have an 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited with a 5.7 what's a multi-displacement engine and I can also use regular 87 octane gas or 91 and sometimes I use e85 and it still runs great it's how you take care of it and it's paid off too
like to get one to tow my airstream. dealers don't order the hd tow package so no new or used, like the light color int , when I tow drive for a hour, stop, top off it ease the pain if you are on empty and have to fill up
Which year and model this car ?
I use cheap gas in mine it has the 5.7 notice no difference. Didn’t even realize it said to use premium.
Oh and by the way, dont worry about uconnect. There was a huge improvement between my 19 ram and my actual 22. They’ll fix it up!
I gonna trade in my JEEP CHEROKEE L fo a WAGONEER, Thanks for the heads up.
you had me at pucker factor lol
Great video. How would you compare it to the 2021 Tahoe and the ford Expeditions?
New follower here. I enjoyed your video. I have a 2023 grand cherokee and its got 10000 miles. The starter gets stuck sometimes when I push the button. Did your wagoneer do this?
Has never done that. Wonder what’s causing it
@@EastCoastJeepSRT not sure but it is surely aggravating 😂
Love to hear about your road trip but DAMN 30 minutes just to find out you love it and upgrading 😂😂
That’s awful.
what do you mean was the worst? changing the V8 for the inline 6?
My grand Cherokee has quad lift. I can lower or lift as long as speed is below 40 mph
Loved your video parked at your house I wanted to know if you can fit the Wagoneer in your garage.
Yes, it fits. Tight squeeze but she does fit in there
@@EastCoastJeepSRT thank you! I have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and need a bigger vehicle. Love your Wagoneer. I appreciate all the input you gave us! I’ll make room in my garage for sure:) thanks!
A 2500 Dodge pickup crew cab extended frame with a ARE shell and a Cummins will do 18 per gallon on freeway and towing is 18 thousand pounds
This guy took a 6,000 mile road trip with a baby... #turbodadmode
Thanks for sharing 🥰🥰
Hey man! I just stumbled across your channel. I have a video for you to watch. Auto Auction Rebuilds Grand Wagoneer experience and see how much miles he put in a month. Just saying maybe you would want to watch that idk. Cool video man! Have a great day!
I dont need an SUV that big but if I did the Wagoneer would certainly be at the top of the list
Great video good information 👌
I have 17k miles on my Grand Wagonner. Once you experience the drivers cooler, you will never go back. 😁
Cooler?
It Will DEFINITELY be in the GRAND W ‘!
Good review. I like your neighborhood. We're a military family also - dad was army then airforce. I'm contractor.
Loved the video!!! Would you recommend the Grand Wagoneer or just the standard Wagoneer? Thanks again for service ☺️
Grand all the way if your budget allows it.
@@EastCoastJeepSRT I can't afford it but I can dream...lol I have a friend that wants to purchase a SUV and they've been looking at them and it just so happened I came across your video!!!
Welcome to the Midwest where the bugs fly wild. We only worry about bug removal when I have trouble seeing out of the windshield 😂
Aye Ron.. good to see you. I have a suggestion for you... Put a air ride kit on the vehicle lol
So your trading it in for the wagoneer L? Grand or just regular one? 6.4 or the hurricane motor?
Not sure yet. We’ll see what we can get but the primary goal is for the size.
Are you referring to the L edition? Cause that Hurricane 6 cylinder seems insane from the videos I've seen
Yes!
You got a new subscriber. Nice video
i like and watched your channel but now different question:
where did you buy your cap and t-shirt?
The hat is from ‘47 Brand “OHT”, and the shirt is from Custom Ink
@@EastCoastJeepSRT thank you Sir
You sound like you're a Texan with an east coast accent. 😝 Great review!
Looks good. I wish it would have a diesel option. I like my Yukon xl with 3.0 duramax, 28 mpg on freeway
My wife is looking to buy a wagoneer, how important to buy base vs II vs III VS grand wagoneer
Thanks for your service
I wish the Wagoneer would’ve got the EcoDiesel, with a 30 gallon tank for at least 2-3 years before discontinuing it.
Hell no! The ecodiesel was a bust
You telling me I sat down and watch 22:41 of this, all he doing is upgrading, come on man lol! Nice information
Thx for the video
Should I get naval federal to finance my grand Cherokee and go for the full loaded one being my last truck I have a ram 1500 warlock 22 last payment coming in December been looking at a road trip truck
My 2022 GWIII Drives and steers itself on the highway. Not as impressive as Super Cruise from Cadillac but it does well
Me USAF 1984-90 had just topped off at Baker summit, got back on the 15 heading to Vegas from So Cal 2mi up the 15 sadly a multicar fatality accident had occurred, sat on the 15 freeway in 110 degree heat for 4 hours, I was good. Kept my water bottles for you know what else millitary training teaches us about disposing of our bio waste and the enemy not being able to follow a waste trail. Thanks for the great review. Will you be happy with the new straight Twin turbo in line 6?
Not sure. Have to see how it performs.
I hate unconnect as well. I have a 2019 ram 1500 new style
I never heard of top off thank you for explaining it I will make sure I do this on my road trips
great video, I have a 22 wagonee series II....only issue is the u connect. been on trip averaging 23+ mpg..around town grocery getter 19.5 ...traded in my 19 suburban for this wagoneer...we are dedicated chevy believers too...sounds like the new spec size will get you closer to the surburban size...
You must be driving slow because im not buying your figures. Ever
@@02hreblue30 plain to see on the dash display, not a slow driver at all...I can say i never get close to the 0 to 60 timing..
@@02hreblue30 that’s every car Toyota is the worst with their ridiculous mileage claims on their vehicles
The reason why there aren't guardrails in most western states is because of snow removal. You can't push the snow off the road(s) if there are guardrails.
Weird. We have guardrails and get lots of snow. They plow it right up to and over the rails.
So did you trade it in yet? Looking forward to seeing a review on the new one. 😊
Est ce que c’est une bonne Jeep ou encore est-elle améliorée ???
i actually don't use built in oil life meter, because i don't want it go off at 90% when i'm on my way somewhere, so i set one of customizable digits to permanently display oil mileage... certainly hope the new full digital cluster did not loose the function the old 7" center displays could provide
wet down drier sheets in warm water, takes bugs off without scrubbing hard
only thing i want to say after a great review like this is.. topping off isnt great for the car itself though. I was taught in winter you fill it at the half way mark, summer you wait until you get down to 20% to preserve the cars life span. I understand your reasoning and it makes sense but im not sure that should be 'the norm'
Please explain what the level of gas in your tank has to do with the engine life?
I like the dodge Durango R/T what do you feel about them good or not the all wheel drive ones
We had one. Loved it. Had to get rid of it after a year due to an electrical issue they couldn’t fix
I'm also looking for a bigger size car but budget friendly maybe grand highlander or Lexus TX500 (gas one)
Thanks!
Thanks!
Do you have some type of gas discounts? Only premium and only sport mode? How is that feasible in this vehicle?
The same way I only ran 93 octane in my Trackhawk. Had to pay for it
Lol you almost talked me out of one😂😂
So your upgrading to the Wagoneer L with the new hurricane engine as well. If you ever have to reset the radio hood the power and tuner button for a few seconds.
“Always top off”. Yep - it gets stuck in your head that’s for sure. Not sure about that load plan but kudos for thinking through how to self recover!
Is your wagoneer the twin turbo in line 6?
5.7
What is your view on the wagoneer L?
I like that it’s longer and slightly wider
Never had a issue with my uconnect. Had screen delamination, but never a glitch with software. If I was going to king size my suv, I'd probably after towards Cadillac. But Durango is big enough for my needs and I still get to keep my SRT driving experience.
Great video
I took my 2012 Jeep Liberty across the country without a problem. She had 150,000 miles with a rebuilt transmission. Extra large trunk. Extra clean and in new condition in silver gray!
She can tow up to 5,000 lbs.
The Jeep Liberty was designed to replace the classic Cherokee. I get about 15 city 🏙️ and 25 highway 🛣️
Whenever l travel 🧳 l keep at least 1/2 tank of gas.
While an Uber driver here in Las Vegas traffic l’m lucky to keep a 1/4 of tank of gas.
It cost over $100 dollars 💸 to fill the tank. ⛽️😳
I served in the Army Reserves and the US Navy. 🇺🇸
Thanks for your service!
"This thing is big but not big enough!" That's what she said. 😂
Hahaha
We enjoy our 23 GC with a new baby we will be looking at the wagoneer maybe with the in-line turbo 6
