- Robbie Knievel, the son of the late stuntman, Evel Knievel, has died. According to TMZ, a family source confirmed that Robbie died after battling pancreatic cancer. He was 60 years old.
I wrote a letter to him last spring with a return address and not realizing my phone number. One evening I received a call from him. Kinda freaked me out, but we talked for about 45 minutes, he even chatted with my son. I told him then that his dad was my childhood hero and he was also. He told me things that wasn’t general knowledge and also sent me a personal picture in a text. He was a very nice guy and he IS the best at his profession…….period!!! Rest in peace my friend, you will be missed!
Not many families out there have a set of balls like the Knievel family. He made dad proud and is with his loved ones again. RIP Mr Bad Ass. 🤙
He's chilling with the old man now .....rest in peace
My father died of pancreatic cancer in December. May Robbie Rest In Peace with Jesus.
Robbie was a cool ass dude. Used to hang out with him at a pizza parlor in Reno NV. Talked about bikes and his life. Good memories. RIP Buddy
Pancreatic cancer is a painful way to go. Rest In Peace now Robbie.
I saw Robbie jump in Portland Oregon in the '80's. I got to watch him prepare for his jump several days in advance by starting out with short jumps, then moving the ramps farther and farther apart. I thought it was really smart. The day he did the jump, he did several test starts getting the bike, a Honda CR500 motocross bike, up to speed and then veering from the ramp at the last second. When he was ready, we all knew he was going to jump because he sat there for a while, blipping the throttle, staring down the ramp. We were at a road race track and he was set up on the front straight part of the track. With his back tire touching a wall behind him, he launched the bike and went through the gears like a drag racer. He hit the ramp at approx. 80 MPH, and was airborne. Then, he took his hands off the handlebars and raised them up. He grabbed the handlebars and stuck the landing, feathers flying in the wind from around his neck. I'll never forget it.
He was THE BEST! I'm going to miss you Robbie. Rest in Peace brother.
