You throw some goth statement/specialty jewelry and accessories in there and it balances professional with your personal style. When I used to work in retail we were told to push the company credit more than ANYTHING else. You could get in trouble/ “written up” for not promoting or advertising it to *every* person. The quality of Torrid clothing isn’t worth paying 1/4 of what they ask, much less enough to stow it away on a credit card🤢

Hi, goth person here, I'd say office wear for me personally is more likely to be a plain dress shirt or one of those really cute over-the-top victorian lace blouses (they're so goofy im in love with them) in black or white, tucked into either a black pencil skirt or a very _subtle_ black corset and wide legged black slacks, complete with far too much jewelry. I also feel there are likely many styles of heels that would fit this outfit. Not whatever the fuck that skull print button up was. Thank you.

1: Your eyeshadow is epic. 2: I have gotten some decent basics from Torrid- examples : faux leather leggings, Faux leather skater skirt, fishnet tights, some earrings. 3: As a plus size person, our choices are so limited when on a budget and we need good clothes and staples. Torrid is where I found my first ever pair of knee high boots that actually fit my cankles and calves. They make me feel amazing when I wear them. 4: They have a good selection of underthings for plus sized and larger breasts. 5: The only thing that were cute from the B. Johnson collection were the tule dresses, the black moto jacket, and the rhionestoned combat boots, but I am also a lover of sparkle.

I do think it's best to shop there when they are having the Torrid cash sale or when the items you are wanting are most likely to be on sale ( like the buy 3 get 2 free panty sale. I stock up during that.) I also really love that they have knee high and over the knee high socks. I will wear them around my house in short and knee high socks cause I feel adorable. a lot of people don't like the skull prints, I love them and get a lot of comments on them.

I started shopping at torrid when I was in high school and Lovesick was a brick and mortar store in the mall. It went from being the casual alternative clothing for plush size teens with quality clothing to almost all adult business lady and wine mom cloths. Nothing against business lady or wine moms, but I still want to buy younger cloths: I’m only 22.
Learning to sew has been life changing for my confidence, and I'd highly suggest anyone of any size start on it. You can find second-hand fabric (which I would highly suggest bed sheets and such especially while learning) but not having to deal with all the fast fashion b.s. and having clothes that genuinely fit my body (which is near impossible with fast fashion alone let alone online shopping) has vastly improved my mental health. Even a poorly made garment by you is going to be better quality than fast fashion

Former corporate goth here!!! Absolutely would not be caught dead in that first shirt. I wore smart, structured, slightly edgy but always professional all-black office wear. I was able to get away with a more daring shoe sometimes, and dark eyeliner if it wasn’t over the top.

I was looking at their site the other day to check if they had exited their cheap 2000s Walmart chic where you could clearly tell that all characters shirts were either blatantly trying to force me to remind others of intellectual property that sucks or was a legally distinct rip-off printed on a garment with such baffling construction and proportions that I'm convinced they were not made to be worn by a human. 2: I have gotten some decent basics from Torrid- examples : faux leather leggings, Faux leather skater skirt, fishnet tights, some earrings.
3: As a plus size person, our choices are so limited when on a budget and we need good clothes and staples. Torrid is where I found my first ever pair of knee high boots that actually fit my cankles and calves. They make me feel amazing when I wear them.
4: They have a good selection of underthings for plus sized and larger breasts.
5: The only thing that were cute from the B. Johnson collection were the tule dresses, the black moto jacket, and the rhionestoned combat boots, but I am also a lover of sparkle.
The struggle with finding boots that fit your calves is so real, it's stupid that there's not a variety in sizes on that (or at least measurement info) because it's so specific
@@justme-qd6qb I know right! I went up a size in my boots to make sure they could be worn over my jeggings and leggings. My husband calls them my superheroine boots. I do think it's best to shop there when they are having the Torrid cash sale or when the items you are wanting are most likely to be on sale ( like the buy 3 get 2 free panty sale. I stock up during that.) I also really love that they have knee high and over the knee high socks. I will wear them around my house in short and knee high socks cause I feel adorable. a lot of people don't like the skull prints, I love them and get a lot of comments on them.

It's almost made worse by the fact that sometimes they make things that ARE super cute. Like why can't y'all do this all the time? I swear, they just need ONE person under the age of 30 that's not afraid to say when things are ugly as hell in the board room and the company would be far better off.
i work at torrid too, and every day, without fail, the phrase "what i wouldn't give to be on that design team" is uttered from my mouth at least once a shift. i want to wrench the color wheel from the designer's middle-aged hands and tell them that they can't have it back until they learn basic color theory. the electric blue and highlighter green make me irrationally angry

I started shopping at torrid when I was in high school and Lovesick was a brick and mortar store in the mall. It went from being the casual alternative clothing for plush size teens with quality clothing to almost all adult business lady and wine mom cloths.

Learning to sew has been life changing for my confidence, and I'd highly suggest anyone of any size start on it. You can find second-hand fabric (which I would highly suggest bed sheets and such especially while learning) but not having to deal with all the fast fashion b.s. and having clothes that genuinely fit my body (which is near impossible with fast fashion alone let alone online shopping) has vastly improved my mental health. Even a poorly made garment by you is going to be better quality than fast fashion

I was looking at their site the other day to check if they had exited their cheap 2000s Walmart chic where you could clearly tell that all characters shirts were either blatantly trying to force me to remind others of intellectual property that sucks or was a legally distinct rip-off printed on a garment with such baffling construction and proportions that I'm convinced they were not made to be worn by a human.
