If I can submit a neighborhood name: Farmer’s Glade. This area was a bunch of farms that funded the growth of the area. It would be a good homage to the families.
@@thebearded_guardian3671 it'd really rub the development in the Williams' face too 😆 like, "that's right, your neighbours used to live here, but we secretly bought them out and concreted over it all, and little by little we're going to keep chipping away at everything that you hold dear" 😆

At 15:00 it's not an optical illusion, the path does get narrower the larger the angle, you'd need to extend the outside edge of the path as it comes out of the observation park to allow for the turn :) similar to what you did at 19:00
Haha let's gooo 🎉 I had the same thought and immediately got nerd sniped by this and spent an hour writing up the math. The outer edge of the path needs to be extended by 32% the width of the path before making that turn. And there's a simple approximate rule of thumb for any angle. I put my work on the CPP Discord channel
@@bigpopakapThat's some commitment, you worked it out based on the angle of the road? 😂 Other ppl have posted about it since too, I was watching on day of release and had to control myself from commenting until I got to the end of the video in case he fixed it before. Yeah I feel it should be raised a little and have a slight arch to it so taller boats like sailboats, fishing boats, small yachts, etc. can fit under the middle of it even in a storm
22:25 - Marinas usually have ramps _parallel_ to the key wall to solve the problem you are having there - i.e. having the piers close, but not wanting a steep ramp. The other solution is a ramp that goes down to the middle of a pier and you can walk back towards the key wall around the ramp. [Also: It's really cool that Bend is showing -Fort Johnson- Paradise across the river how to do growth properly: up, not out. It'll be interesting to see if Sheila finally learns something when she can see it from her porch...]
Came here to say that exact thing about the marina ramps, idk if the ramps themselves bothered me more or the fact that Phil was gonna just leave em like that🤣
1. I really think we need to up the education pipeline. Not nearly enough elementary schools; also can bump up all the way through a medical school given the regional hospital! Think Madison, WI 2. The downtown bend area would thrive with more mixed use and more urban education. 3. The downtown bend area really needs more parking. I think adding an underground deck in the shoreline park (think Millennium Park in Chicago) would be a great solution-these surface level parking lots aren’t cutting it and are resulting in a ton of traffic [or maybe public transit needs beefing up]
Fantastic thoughts and I agree with all of them. Specifically regarding the elementary schools - it's been a huge issue for a while and it's about time that we actually fix it.
If I recall correctly, the Township of Milan was named after the italian city. I would love the name Riva Milan (Riva is italian for Riverbank), for Sunrise Dale. So that some history could be preserved. Also I find this name very fancy and it could be some hipster tourist heaven.
Agreeing that changing the time of year for landscaping is perfectly fine. Especially if you're trying during winter (so hard to see things in the snow)
I actually loved the bigger rotary! It echoed the base of the tower and made it feel as if it were a special piece of the development. I was even hoping you’d maybe place a special statue or fountain on it ⛲️
absolutely love this episode!!! the marina and the rock wall remind me of my childhood, especially running and jumping across the rocks to get as close to the water as possible. i think its a really great addition to the build. my only concern is that the new bridge might not be tall enough for a sailboat to fit under!
Just a weird bit of info for all of those builders that haven't researched the rules on paths and roads. (Seeing Phil put in all the paths reminded me.) The maximum path slope allowed is about 8% (1:12) - this is for wheelchair accessibility - paths through forests need not follow this rule. For Cities Skylines, each unit (square) is supposed to be 8 metres, and each elevation line is 1 metre. So to make your pedestrian path slopes legal, you can go down 2 elevation lines for every 3 units (squares) forward. For roads, most areas limit you to 12% - 15% (1:8 to 1:6ish). So you can go up/down one elevation line for each unit (square) of road and still be acceptably safe. Where I come from (Canada), collector roads are limited to 8% (1:12 - same as wheelchair rules above), and local roads are limited to 10% (1:10 - somewhere between 1 unit forward for each elevation line and 3 units forward for every 2 elevation lines) without getting special permission. BTW - The graphics for vertical in CS is way off. The land/terrain graphics are about 2 or 3x what they would actually look like IRL. Some buildings are really badly off too - there are buildings that are supposed to be 3 storeys that are the same height in game as buildings with 5 storeys.
A comment to my heart! Most builders don't care because the game does not stop them from building stupid ramps or slopes. It should be a switch: build realistic or not?
To be fair not saying its the case, cause there's definitely some strange vertical scale issues with the assets, but you could totally have older buildings with either really tall or really shallow ceilings that have very different storey/height ratios.
Having a bit of trouble making sense of the numbers - the 8% mentioned means 8% of a piece of road's distance, right? For example, if I were building a 10-meter path, the slope over the entirety of that road would not exceed 80 cm, right? So in-game, a path taking 5 squares (which should be 40 meters, right?) would slope harsher than 4 meters, which would be 4 elevation lines, right?
@@OrganMuncher The percentage is tough to see in your head, that's why I put the ratios as well. 8% is a 1 to 12 ratio. So for one level of elevation the path should go forward 12 meters, or 1 1/2 squares. So for going up 4 levels, you want the path to go forward (4x1.5 =) 6 squares.
I think the Marina needs soome sort of break water around it. I know its a river and so you dont exect much wave action but the breakwater also helps with wakes from other vessels passing by
The marina in the corner between the boat maintenance and the observation tower seem sheltered enough, depending on the speed of the river, to allow for small boats. Where I live the city lies on a river bend, where the river usually flows rapidly when passing the bend. Smaller boats would defenitely need a sheltered space. Docking right on the observation tower would then be limited to larger boats (think river cruise boats, like you see on the Rhine). You could make it look more realistic by spacing out the piers there to contrast with the little sheltered marina on the side and lifting them up as the bigger boats would board higher above the waterline.
@@erossing8212 not sure many boats are getting under those bridges? The clearance looks pretty low in places. Can be hard to tell when zoomed out though, but I'm struggling to imagine anything larger than small powered boats getting to that marina, certainly nothing with a mast (unless they can drop it). If the river flow is strong, they might have some kind of breakwater to make manoeuvring easier within the marina. Or perhaps just an outer pontoon wrapping around the outside, which is what a lot of marinas near me do
The park at the hospital looks great. Finally patients have a place to get a break from the sterile, white hallways and constant beeping of machines. The new waterfront also looks amazing - Someone really needs to make a brush that can paint props to save you from a hospital visit yourself. 😖
so good to see Bend getting some TLC, been neglected for so long. I like the natural look but this feels more appropriate for an expanding urban center
I think we'll probably have a mix of both. On the other side of main street, I kind of dig the natural look, too. We'll see though - expansion is coming!
@@Keikdv Not sure what you mean, but "we" in Europe park in pretty much all the ways available in the game. I have parallel, diagonal and 90° parking lots all within a short walking distance from my home.
Hey Phil! The redevelopment of Downtown Bend made me think of something that I would love to see in the city: a major pedestrian street! I went to college in Burlington, VT and one of the best places in the city is Church Street, a pedestrian only street lined by small businesses and restaurants. In the warmer months, people were out busking and we had a farmers market in the park off Church Street, and it was just always the place to be even if you just wanted to take a walk between classes. I would love to see Bend attempt to maintain some of that smaller town charm while still embracing higher densities and I feel like a commercial pedestrian street would be a great compromise! (and if the Williams are still salty about all of the redevelopment, at least they'd have a new marketplace to sell their produce and spread their message!)
I like the waterfront concept but don't think the marina configuration would work in practice. I'm a little concerned about the strength of the river's flow and how that will impact vessels tied to the docks or on floating docks so constructing some kind of longer outer dock that serves as a buffer for the inner marina would serve a double purpose of creating an artificial calm area for the boats while also creating longer mooring locations for larger vessels. I'm also curious about the height of the bridges between the marina and the lake and what the necessary height cap would be on vessels at that marina. I'm guessing no sailing vessels would be able to use it, so it would be mostly motorized pleasure craft. I could also see the orientation of the marina taking a different geometry to maximize available slips and space for moorings.
I had the same thoughts, there would need to be a break wall st least I’d think unless it’s a super calm bit of river? I’m no marina expert though… also I noticed the space between the slips seems too small, I know Phil was just trying to achieve a look though and he got it.
and how about the space to manouver and getting in/out of the boats with all those raillings 21:54 ! Even with the mast down, a sailing vessel could not pass most bridges. And pleasure boats are not that low too, if you do not mean rowing boats.
Bridge height does seem to be a real concern. A lot of recreational boats on the Great Lakes are sailboats. You'd most likely see some drawbridges to enable access in cities like this.
Ahh shoot, that makes me realize that I totally forgot to show the flow for this bit of river. It's pretty calm, which is one of the reasons I figured I might be able to get way with this. As far as the boats I imagined here, mostly smaller pleasure craft, sail boats and the like. I do agree though that the bridge is too low and that some sort of a breakwater would still be beneficial. Great suggestions!
To be fair, I heard it as the same, then realized he meant "can get away with." As in, a small roundabout would be too small to handle the traffic on the road, but a gigantic roundabout would be silly. I like the comprise he came up with.
Honestly? That special Condo building meshes EXTREMELY well with the tourist draw of the observation tower, especially with the newly finished shoreline. Those folks in Lakeview though still havent been re-connected with the rest of the community. They deserve connectivity.
The waterfront near the marina would have been a *brilliant* place for some medium-high density mixed-use zoning. It would have been great for both providing great views for residents on higher floors, while also providing cafes & convenience stores for people walking along the riverfront from the viewing tower or coming off their boats.
The lore of this series is so good. Like I want to read a book about the complete history of the county. If u write a lore book when this series ends I’d 100% buy that
Naming suggestion: you should rename Chestnut Croft to Elizabeth Valley as the road Elizabeth Lane was the first road in that area and it was named after a local resident who developed a few houses in the area. Her name is Catherine Elizabeth, although she goes by her nickname “Happy” Elizabeth as she always has a smile on her face.
I think you particularly nailed the intro in this one! Good balance of storytelling, city planning education (I learned what a TIF is), and the very clear numbered list of projects made the translation from story to in-game work very clear. Recent stories had gotten so intricate, I had a hard time relating them to the rest of the video. I'd watch anything you make (and I do love the James+Jamila saga), so you do what fuels your soul, but I wanted to mention this as feedback. Nice work!
44:09 I am fine with doing whatever has to be done for landscaping. For all other times, I'd like the season to match the real life northern hemisphere season!
As much as you say you're not a detailer, watching you detail the city is like therapy for me. It's so peaceful and beautiful. I hope you never stop making these videos.
There's nothing wrong with grading the terrain while building. It's when you undo all of the changes that you made that it becomes truly de-grading. ba-dum-TSSS!
Glad I was able to get that right! TIF is one of the things I always feel shaky about, so I researched that section to make sure I was depicting it correctly. Thanks for the confirmation that it was correct!
@33:00 maybe a parking garage for the new tower? In fact, maybe place it in the middle to be used by that entire development block (where the ped path is going through, between Main and Belmont by the marina facility buildings)
I watched a lot during the Cities Skylines 1 era and enjoyed it so much. Unfortunately took a break from watching, and recently started again and got back into Cities Skylines 2 and I’m so hooked again 🥹
That was the first time in decades I was happy and excited to fully listen to an ad read. HAPPY. Not only okay, or neutral or uninterested. Straight up getting useful information delivered quickly and feeling genuinely excited about the Timberbourne update. I watched a whole hour long paid video about the update the other day and I didn't actually want to go to my PC, make steam do the update and boot up ye olde Timberbourne until now.
Favorite episode of the series by far. Incredible attention to detail and realistic density scaling coupled with creating authentic places people would want to visit. Nicely done, Phil!
45:25 There's a tiny strip of grass poking out between the surface and the path. Otherwise the square (the the whole waterfront) looks great. Also R.I.P. Phil's finger
I did get that fixed but didn't highlight it (unfortunately). And hahaha, thankfully recovered... but more shoreline improvements are coming, so who knows for how long!
15:02 Just because both lines are leaving at the same angle, it doesn’t mean their width remains the same. Imagine if you wanted to have both lines take a 90 deg turn instead of 145; the lines would be overlapping. That’s not an optical illusion, the width has definitely decreased. But you are correct that the lines have remained parallel.
Haha let's gooo 🎉 I had the same thought and immediately got nerd sniped by this and spent an hour writing up the math. Gosh, I love how you've structured your videos! They feel balanced, and leave me satisfied (sometimes hungry for more) every single time! Easily one of my top 3 favorite RUclipsrs of all time!
A little suggestion for the marina: A fueling station! At least here in Finland the marinas usually have a small fuel tank and a pump for those bigger boats with internal engines. Not sure if there is a fuel pump prop but I guess there are some small transformer boxes or something that'll do the trick 👀
Even though it's a minor detail of the video in the add but as an European, thank you for thinking about us, when talking about time! Greetings from Germany
As far as new names go, I love Cathedral Park, which is a public park partly under the St. John's bridge in Portland, OR. The park gets its name because the buttresses on the underside of the bridge make it look like the roof of a cathedral. It really is an amazing little park and neighborhood.
Great build! Bend is looking better with a little more downtown development, for sure. Just pointing it out since it was noted in the comments last video and doesn't look fixed yet: like 75% of the hospital parking lot seems useless since there are no crosswalks out of the parking spaces. Wouldn't be a problem in real life, but you know, lol. Hope that's fixed in the upcoming "fixes" episode! Loving the series!
Hey City Planner! Flood Control Engineer here. It looks like part of the area you are developing (Chestnut Croft) is below the grade of the river. Your underpass would turn into a big funnel during floods. Insurance in this new area would also be a nightmare for property owners. Just another layer to your planning perspective to keep in mind. It's just a game tho! ;) Love these videos. Keep up the great work. My vote for that district name would be Marsh Walk
50:44 As you can see here, I think the pedestrian crossing might not be that safe if it’s located on the part of the bridge going down, as it’s not that visible. I do , though, very much like how you removed the parking besides the road near the crossing, increasing the visibility by a lot already!
I am a Bend Supremacist and the last episode had me almost yelling at the RUclips and asking for this exact episode to happen. Thank you I absolutely love this series and I got very passionate about this
I think you should control the weather. I loved how in your Cities 1 build you updated the builds seasons as time passed IRL. I think it helps with slowing things down and making the cities feel more real.
I saw a post on the CS2 subreddit with a marina they added a few boat ramps and it really pulled everything together. You can add 3 to the back of the boat houses and one at the back of the marina (near the wall) for people to enter the bay near bend
How do you feel about a 4-5 floor parking garage in downtown maybe off a smaller street? Honestly there is a lot of density in the downtown area but realistically most of the residents would have cars. With the extra tourist facilities, maybe the current parking space is not enough.
Classic city planner. Some areas have square miles of parking. The downtown area on the other hand, which is the planner's pet project in any city, never has parking even for the people who live there. Aside from not liking (postmodern) cities to begin with, I cannot fathom why someone would live somewhere so crowded, where you can't have the decency of a place to put your car, and lack greenspace. I make a point in my cities to try and keep up with parking in a balanced manner. Last night, I realized I had inadvertently made a whole medium density neighborhood with major attractions and only on-street parking. I narrowed up the roads and put the parking in consolidated garages behind buildings where possible.
@@NightKnight347 A lot of cities solve this with underground parking facilities under high-density buildings/areas. It's a shame it's not an asset in CS to date, but hopefully they see the light and add it in some day.
@@Cazzer1604 In one of my older save files, I used an underground parking asset so frequently. That was also a denser build. I don't have it anymore, but I need to find it!
Behind on videos! A few thoughts: - your clicking all those rocks in place is absolutely unhinged and why I watch this channel - the rocks under the pier, next to the supports, complete submerged are totally unnecessary but again, why I watch this channel - this reimagining of the waterfront is incredible and the type of place I’d want to be if I lived in this city Another banger! 🎉
With the increased tourism from the space needle a convention center would be a fantastic way to bring people to downtown bend and keep them longer. This could be modeled after the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. This would also allow for the construction of skywalks linking hotels, parking garages and attractions providing pedestrian access all year round. -Constr Eng Justin
As a native Finnish speaker and a former Tampere citizen the pronunciation was a solid 4/10 xD. I love how the transformation turned out! I think you should add a soccer field to the shoreline park area with all the trees for the citizens to play at. Keep it up!
Love the new coastline. I have two suggestions: first, for the marina next to the tower, you should add one more marina the size of the others, coming out of the corner at 45°, that empty corner looks like wasted space for marina rental. Second, for one of those streets that you were originally going to put your bridge across, if you add "Ferry" to the street name (I can't recall its name, but if it's Sunshine Street now, call it Sunshine Ferry?) you give history and story to the apparent old ferry crossing, which wasn't used for bridge placement. This was a great episode, Phil, it looks beautiful. If it were me, I'd pick Autumn to plant trees, so you know what fall colors you get, but I suppose if you know your varieties that's not necessary.
For the neighborhood by Lake Inferior, I think that Pinewater Bay is a nice name. The neighborhood would probably attract a lot of attention because of firstly, the beautiful lake, and secondly, all the nature in Magnolia county; so a name like Pinewater Bay would be very welcome by developers and residents alike. :)
As a Washingtionion Citizen it makes me Happy to see a Famous Landmark from our Major City be put in a New Area, I have been watching this for awhile keep up the work man!

Really great builds, awesome to see Bend growing and developing into a bigger city. The riprap and coast in general ended up looking so good. One minor thing is i think the larger wall to wall buildings by the school look better when theyre different colors.
The landscaping and detailing by the water looks absolutely fantastic, you did an amazing job!! The extra time you spent on the rocks and plants by the water really do look awesome. Good job phil, you’re always so relaxing and enjoyable to watch ♥︎♥︎♥︎
I love the riverside renovation! I think the citizens of Bend would love a queyed area, where they could get close to the water without having to climb rocks.
I have watched every single episode of Magnelia County, and I just wanted to say you are doing an incredible job. It feels like so much than just a game commentary. But one thing I miss: We never see this beautiful city in the night. It's always just day. I would love to see some of these streets in the night. Or having like a nightlife district.
Flexing Bend! Finally Bend is getting some love. Some naming suggestions: 1.Not much of a naming suggestion but I suggest keeping the name Fruitvale and just annexing the whole township to Bend (for Sunrise Dale) 2. For Mulberry Dale, since you did take it off from the Township of Milan, we can call it "Lombard Lakeshore" or "Riva Lombarda" 3. For Chestnut Croft, we can keep it simple as "Milan Triangle". This way even if we further urbanize and the township does get fully absorbed by the city, the name remains. Edit: also, not the biggest fan of the parts of the marina too close to the bridge. I wonder how much it would change the river flow. The smaller marina tucked in near the blue roofed housing looks a bit better and more sheltered.
25:20 for easier color changing you can use the palette icon instead of copy and paste, once you're in an asset you can press it and directly paste the asset's color scheme to several different assets in a row, it's very handy!
Bend is definitely my favourite out of all of the areas in Magnolia County. Definitely deserves more love and this build did that. Maybe an interesting build for somewhere in magnolia county in the future could be a build centered around sports, a lucrative business which could bring in a ton of investment to wherever it goes. And considering magnolia county is in America I'd say American Football would probably be a priority there.
Haven’t commented in a while but I just wanted to say I’m loving the Bend/Paradise Bay rivalry we got going on here. Hopefully this shoving match keeps going throughout the entirety of this series….but eventually Paradise Bay is gonna have to add somewhat of a skyline to truly rival Bend.
I grew up in Chicago and hate snow - moved to California to get away from it. So, when I play I generally set to Spring and let the game progress through Autumn before skipping winter completely.
I’m totally in love with what you’ve done in this episode! The shoreline looks absolutely stunning!! I feel like the marina should have a barrier of rocks/a quay wall to shelter the smaller boats from storm conditions/swell/flow in the river a little!! I spent a lot of time on boats as a kid and all the marinas our boat stayed in tended to be protected by sea wall/barrier rocks :) there’s normally a small quartermaster’s office, as well !
Love your videos, great for bedtime. Im from scotland and my wife is from the UP so nice to see the plots and maps you pick and i actually recognise them. Also appreciate the narrative for fun and the real context you fill out that means i learn about rhings, but im a passive and interesting way when im trying to relax
Not to harp on the same thing over and over, but I really think bridges over the river need to be much higher. A river like this (thinking like the Ohio) could see signficant trade upstreem of the map. Regardless, It doesn't even look like small boats could get through. Looks more like a bridge over a small creek. Otherwise, amazing video as always!
50:10 Yes: Use the circle tool with a small distance to place multiple rocks at once and enable random angle. Or make use of the line/curve tool. This is way faster than placing the rocks manually.
I think you're right to add the rocks and manicured parks where you have, as when there's that density of urbanisation so close to the shore, there must be flood mitigation measures in place, so leaving it natural wouldn't be a feasible option. Where there are just single family homes on the other bank, there's less need as their relatively low cost wouldn't make the price of flood mitigation worthwhile. As a result, adding the props on the urbanised side makes sense, as in our mind's eye, that's how those kinds of areas should look.
I like where you place the bridge. That was a good alternative to where you previously planned to place it. I noticed all the paths along the water go under the bridges but don't have direct acces to the bridges. The pedestrians would have to turn yards ahead, sometimes half a block just to get on to it. Adding a small path closer to the bridge intersection would be realistic. As for the trees, I think the manicured look is nice, but I do prefer a much fuller foliage. But give your hands a rest. I heard yoga for knitters and crocheters does wonders for all types if folks who do repetitive hand work. Try that and see if you benefit.
Two ideas for Mulberry Dale as a name 1. Eden Shores - Named in parody of Paradise Bay because Bend has some people in charge who aren't above some more petty antics. 2. Como - Another commenter suggested a name based on Milan being named after the Italian city, Como is a lake just to the north of Milan and makes the area feel like a lot of the naming was taken from that specific region of Italy.

At 15:00 it's not an optical illusion, the path does get narrower the larger the angle, you'd need to extend the outside edge of the path as it comes out of the observation park to allow for the turn :) similar to what you did at 19:00
Shoot, you're totally right!
Haha let's gooo 🎉 I had the same thought and immediately got nerd sniped by this and spent an hour writing up the math. Love Bends downtown waterfront redevelopment.
I do worry the new bridge is a _little_ low.
Could you imagine that bridge with a slightly bad storm
Yeah I feel it should be raised a little and have a slight arch to it so taller boats like sailboats, fishing boats, small yachts, etc. can fit under the middle of it even in a storm
@@kodabear_46 or a lifting part in the middle. Not in the game, I am afraid.
I think you're right about that! We'll have to get that fixed!
Especially with a marina nearby we would need taller bridges
Think Madison, WI
Specifically regarding the elementary schools - it's been a huge issue for a while and it's about time that we actually fix it.
so happy we're finally getting density

If I recall correctly, the Township of Milan was named after the italian city. I would love the name Riva Milan (Riva is italian for Riverbank), for Sunrise Dale. So that some history could be preserved. Also I find this name very fancy and it could be some hipster tourist heaven.
I would suggest, to up the fancy factor, to keep the Italian spelling and call it Riva Milano

summer is absolutely the right time to landscape! changing the weather & time of year makes complete sense to me.
the shoreline looks amazing!!!
I'm glad that you liked this one! I think you're right about that. We need to get that fixed!
Just a weird bit of info for all of those builders that haven't researched the rules on paths and roads. (Seeing Phil put in all the paths reminded me.)
The maximum path slope allowed is about 8% (1:12) - this is for wheelchair accessibility - paths through forests need not follow this rule.
Some buildings are really badly off too - there are buildings that are supposed to be
3 storeys that are the same height in game as buildings with 5 storeys.
@@sol_in.victus True enough, but the terrain is similarly way off vertically. :)
I think the Marina needs soome sort of break water around it. I know its a river and so you dont exect much wave action but the breakwater also helps with wakes from other vessels passing by
The marinas in my city are on the convergence of 2 rivers, yet none of them have break waters. I think speed limits control the wake.
The diagonal parking really gives that entire area a great vibe
I am glad we in Europe park in a normal way...
Great idea.
That gray-out at 1:08 because "enthusiasm alone doesn't fund projects" was perfect - then back to full Technicolor with "Fortunately!"
I agree the marina needs protection of some kind of pier to protect them from currents and waves or the boats will get all smashed up in heavy weather
17:05 "I'd like to use the smallest roundabout that I can".... and in true CPP fashion, uses the large one lol
You're right! It's pretty disjointed in that area.
Nice work!

Phil!! As someone who works in Economic Development, specifically with TIF districts, I LOVE this video. Thanks for capturing this process so well!
You’re right it’s simply geometry ! Still an illusion in my opinion ;)
Haha let's gooo 🎉 I had the same thought and immediately got nerd sniped by this and spent an hour writing up the math.

Try using the spacing and offset variation settings in line tool. I use them all the time when placing rockwalls or other landscaping.
I think it helps with slowing things down and making the cities feel more real.

magnolia county looks incredible! All the hard work and frustration has definitely paid off.
This is EXACTLY where I was hoping the series would go! An arms race between Bend and Paradise Bay to fight for the top spot in the county. Love it!
I saw a post on the CS2 subreddit with a marina they added a few boat ramps and it really pulled everything together. You can add 3 to the back of the boat houses and one at the back of the marina (near the wall) for people to enter the bay near bend
Thanks!
Thank you so much for the support, Vlad!!
Absolutely needs it. The whole area is underparked at this point.
A few thoughts:
- your clicking all those rocks in place is absolutely unhinged and why I watch this channel
- the rocks under the pier, next to the supports, complete submerged are totally unnecessary but again, why I watch this channel
- this reimagining of the waterfront is incredible and the type of place I’d want to be if I lived in this city
Another banger!

So happy to see some love for Bend. As much as I love paradise bay, it’s nice to come back to where MC started
I love the riverside renovation! I think the citizens of Bend would love a queyed area, where they could get close to the water without having to climb rocks.
Oh, you love your little mods so damn much!
Great redevelopment of downtown including the observation tower, marina, boathouses and shoreline. Looking very good!
Looks so much more urban now! It really made the big buildings fit better into downtown.
Flexing Bend! Finally Bend is getting some love.
Some naming suggestions:
1.Not much of a naming suggestion but I suggest keeping the name Fruitvale and just annexing the whole township to Bend (for Sunrise Dale)
2. For Mulberry Dale, since you did take it off from the Township of Milan, we can call it "Lombard Lakeshore" or "Riva Lombarda"
Continuing to love your storytelling. It really makes the city come alive!
I am so happy Bend is finally getting some much needed attention!
Hello, your video is very good for me and I love your videos for 2 years, it was a great ride from verde beach to magnolia county ❤
Man I just can’t get enough of this! Much love CPP, I hope all goes well!!!
The density chapter had incredible detailing. I love it
Thank you!
Love seeing Näsinneula in the city! It and the attached aquarium have a lot of fond memories from my childhood :)
Sunrise Dale should be renamed Bellevue (French for pretty view) since it was/is a hill with a great view over the area :)
Perfect timing, just let the dogs out and grabbed my morning coffee. Love a good morning MC episode ☺️
You know, Cities skylines has changed ours and your lives, bringing joy to all, thank you for bringing happiness to the past, present, and future.
Because there are so many cars on the road in downtown Bend and it’s becoming more dense, you should start using parking garages.
Two ideas for Mulberry Dale as a name
