Who watches this and gives "thumbs down" ? Rude! Clear instructions and great easy scarf! Thank you :)
I was thinking that exact same thing
Squirrel Guirrel people are morons. They probably found it too hard lol. They can’t follow simple instructions and wonder why their crochet and life is a mess.
I wore the first one I made, I had it on for about an hour when the lady in charge of us volunteers admired it...I took it off wrapped it around her neck & wished her a Merry Christmas...Going to make #2 today...for myself......I think.....
That’s what the Christmas spirit is all about!
Love this. Instantly subscribed. As someone drowning in pharmacy school stress, this is honestly very relaxing to do.
This is the best scarf tutorial video that I've seen! Can't wait to get started
Jess Winfrey Wonderful, I'm so glad you like it! :)
The best tutorial so far. I’m returning to crochet after 35-40 years, have been trying to make something decent watching other you tube videos but no luck. Yours is the best so far, I’ve actually made a scarf. Thank you so much!!! Very clear instructions given in a gentle voice.
Your tutorial was so easy to follow and I appreciate your taking the time to record it.
Thanks Kathy! :)
This pattern is great. Works very quickly, and I was able to make a scarf for my sister-in-law in about 4 hours. Thank you!
I was looking for a new way to crochet, or a new stitch and I made this scarf the other day and I LOVE IT! I made it for my mom and also added fringe to the ends and it turned out fantastic. Love your tutorials!
I know this video is super older at this point, but this pattern just saved my butt after having to frog almost half a christmas scarf i have to mail come morning. I love the little star shapes hidden in the pattern, and it works up so quickly and without having to count massive amounts of ripples (like i was previously lol). Happy holidays to you and yours, and thank you again for this lovely pattern.
I have made several scarves and honestly this one is my favorite. I love this channel.
I just made this scarf for my daughter. I've only been doing crochet for a week after teaching myself through various RUclips tutorials, and this was by far the easiest pattern I've attempted so far, with a truly beautiful result. I managed to crank out a 50-inch scarf with about 3-4 hours work total. I'm sure a more seasoned crocheter will be able to do it in half that time. I will be making several more of these!
I used a 5 weight yarn with a J hook.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I made this scarf into an infinity and gave it as a present and my sister-in-law absolutely LOVED it and asked me to make some for x-mas presents!!.....so easy to follow especially for a beginner like me.
I was about to give up crochet fed up with granny squares but this first one that I can follow thanks
I made a large afghan using this stitch, Easy to do and looks good
Sounds lovely!
What an amazing pattern! Thank you!! I was able to crochet two of these in 3 days. Really helped me for Christmas.
Finally tried this pattern. It is easy to do if you are a beginner. I made it with leftover odds and ends yarn scraps. It came out nice. Thanks for the video.

I love this. So easy to do. Love your channel. I’m learning heaps during lockdown in NZ. Thanks xx
Thanks for a simple, elegant and non fussy design.
definitely a multiple of four plus two to get length wanted. Ty for this video. making scarves for battered women's shelter and this will help speed up how many I complete for the fall.
mz3llie thanks so much for this comment. I really love this pattern but it's a touch too slim. I can crack on now x
Thanks for giving the multiple for this. I have difficulty figuring it out, must have missed it in the video.
You mean to say a multiple of four plus two to increase the width, right?
Thank you so much for this! I'll be sharing this video in my favorite crocheting group on Facebook. I am starting my Ultra Mega Lenny Kravitz scarf literally right now, and I'm using this video to do it! :-) This really is a dope tutorial...clear, easy to follow and just the right speed. Thanks again! 💜💜💜💋💋💋 :-)
Attempting to make this scarf. I am a visual learner, so I appreciate all the videos everyone makes. I love wider & longer scarves so I chained 54. Hope this comes out nice!
Thank you for making such an easy to understand video. I am visually impaired, and it is hard to find crocheting tutorials that have the ideal level of verbal explanation that your video contains. I just subscribed! :)
Love all your videos Jennifer. I don't know why so many thumbs down on this one but don't let that discourage you. Who knows maybe they were asleep 😢
i made one for my sons girlfriend in pink. it was for Christmas and cause of the weather we havent had our gifts yet. its in her favorite color so i am in hopes she loves it as much as i do. my 6 year old saw it and wants one so i am dong one for her in the Red Heart Gumdrop. her favorite color is Yellow but i was only able to get the Cherry Varigated that has some yellow in it. i have started it and only have done a couple of rows so far and she loves it and cant wait to have it so she can show it off at school! thank you so much for a quick pattern that is so easy and fun to do! keep up the great work!
I love this pattern/stitch! I made mine using I Love This Yarn, in [I think color is] black cherry or burgundy, and everyone compliments it at first sight. It's a really neat, classy look, yet can be worn with jeans too.
Just made this in a pine green. Turned out nice. Thanks for sharing!
This was such an easy tutorial to follow for a complete beginner! My scarf is looking lovely. Thank you!
So glad it helped! :)
Thank u for sharing this and u were very good at explaining how to double crochet, before I watched this I had no idea how to do that! I'm about 1/2 way done with mine and I used a smaller hook and a lighter shade of gray and it's beautiful I really love the pattern :)
Thanks for your kind comment! So glad the video helped.
I have just watched the video, and thought how nice it was. So i shall look in my yarn stash and get started!. Thank you very much. J x

Thank you. Beautiful, clear voice and instructions. I will try to make it.
Best crochet tutorial on youtube! Concise and beautiful (:
I used a thinner yarn, only because it was in my desired color, and it looks great! Thanks!
You did a wonderful job thanks so much. I am making one for my little girl and she is going to love it.

I love this pattern!
So easy but very pretty

love this pattern. And you'r video is great!
thank you for the video. very clear and easy to follow.
lovvvvvvve it. so easy yet refined
The written instructions for row 2 says to "chain 1 & turn. In the first space, work a single crochet." The tutorial is different. At the end of row 1, you said to chain 1 and turn, then chain 3 to begin row 2. Your tutorials are so easy to follow and I enjoy them very much.
Yes, the written instructions do not match the tutorial, which is frustrating. I'm going to go with the video tutorial. I will make mine wider by chaining 22 rather than 18. Hoping that works out. I will comment after I give that a try.
Karen H Hi Karen! Did you try this? I'm waiting to start because I would like this a little wider. I have to follow exactly because I'm so new at this.
I used this pattern to make a blanket! Turned out wonderful!
How many chains did you use to make the blanket?
I am unsure I just keep making chains tell I thought I was long enough. I think I had two extra so i just cut it right before and retied. *shrugs*
Love it. Thank you
Easy & quick to make. Thank you😆
thank you for sharing. i can't wait to start
