I made so many crochet things for my mom but she loves this pattern the most. Made her one two years ago and she has been begging for another so I had to find your video again.
I just finished this scarf in jewel tones and am absolutely in love. This is the first pattern I have followed on utube and I am not an experienced crocheter by any definition. Thank you for sharing this and I will be starting another in fall colors for my future daughter in law
I'm not a pattern writer lol I just wanted to write this as a quick reference for myself when I get back to this vid. Hope it helps someone else too (sometimes I just like an idea of the pattern without having to watch the whole vid) Ch 30 Row 1: DC in 3rd ch from hook *DC til the end of the row* (Row has 29 DCS). CH2 and turn. Row 2: DC in second from stitch. *Chain 1, skip 1, DC into next* repeat til 1 remaining. DC into last stitch. CH2 and turn. Row 3: DC til the end of the row *repeat rows 2-3 til desired length* Twist and join (if desired).
I dont do the the chains to make a dbc I was always having issues with complete straight sides so iwas messing around and after you do your base sc row I chain 1 turn and do dbl in very first chain its been a blessing for me both sides completly straight can see exactly where last stich goes .the best part no gaps at all very simple and it's been working great thank you i have been looking for a pattern like this finally found it this is my cowl pattern now
I've made a few of these scarves in this width of ch 30 & they turned out lovely. Now I've decided to make it not as wide & I ch 20. Looks great & thank you for your great tutorial. Happy hooking
Just a tip for everyone...try starting it with a double crochet foundation chain. Looks a lot cleaner and you can make your stitches a little looser. Doesnt pull at the bottom.
I have been on a scarf/cowl crochet frenzy since December, I am going to try this pattern after my current WIP is done, I like the fact that you can use any type of yarn. My former boss has asked me to teach her how to crochet, so once it again safe to socialize I will be showing her, and i think that this pattern would be a good confidence builder for her as she learns. Thanks you for sharing!
I love this pattern! made 2 for Christmas presents. Made one with a 12mm hook instead of a 6mm hook. Love the big loopy stitch. Gorgeous and elegant. Easy to pattern to follow too. I'm terrible at counting my stitches, but this video made it so easy to follow. Thank you! I'm teaching a class to eight 4-5th graders after the new year. I think we will be making infinity scarves!! :)
Hi this is the first pattern I am trying from your tutorials and it is for my 5yr old step daughter for Christmas but with it I have made her a lovely beret to match . So thank you for a great tutorial and will be using you site more often ;)
Love the scarf as I'm presently making my 2nd one. The 1st one I made was a solid color & this one is a variegated & it's turning out lovely. I did not make it into a infinity scarf but this pattern is very versatile. You are a very good instructor & keep up the great work. Happy hooking.
I’m a new subscriber and just learned how to Crochet at a young age of 49!!! And this is my first project! Thank you for so good in sharing step by step. Cheers from Sydney! 🧶☃️
I saw a similar design scarf MONTHS ago but it was too hard to follow. This is much better. Also figured out that I interpreted the directions correctly after all.
I'm relatively new to crocheting.. I'm not.. "YET".. at a place where I'm comfortable "adjusting" patterns.. So in this video you mentioned that you can make this wider or more narrow.. I have! Learned that MOST.. if not ALL.. patterns are done in "multiples of" .. PLUS 1.. or 2.. etc.. Can you please share that with me for THIS pattern.. I'd like to make mine LONGER but more "narrow".. REALLY appreciate it.. you did a WONDERFUL job with your scarf and o REALLY LOVE the pattern 💜.. Thank you! For sharing it.. cant wait to make my own😊
I'm goingbto make a scarf for my granddaughter I've not crocheted for over 50 yrs I've just finished a granny blanket for my grown up son his grandma made him one when he was a teenager but with moving ect it got lost so I did him one .my grandson wants one now I also want to make myself one but I'm at the ask of the queue as usual but mums are always at the back of queues love fran xxx
How many rows approximately did you make with the skein. I plan to change colors so it won’t be just one skein and think the length you made is just perfect.
PSALMSOFSONGS oh I would love to see it. If you have Facebook please join my group and share a pic. I'm glad you could follow along and make something beautiful for yourself. Xoxo
