    WamBam has created the specially formulated Wham Bam PEX Polymer Build Surface which surpasses PEI in temperature resistance, performance, and material ‘stickability”. It sticks so well you would have a heck of a time getting the print off the bed without our Wham Bam Flexi Build Plate. Simply remove the Wham Bam Flexi Build Plate from the Wham Bam Flexi Magnetic Base on your 3D printer when the print is finished and flex slightly to pop your print right off!
    Available in 6 sizes, the Wham Bam Flexible Build System includes everything needed to install on your printer:
    1 PEX Build Surface
    1 Flexi Plate
    1 Magnetic Base
    4 Aluminum Shims
    The Flexible Build System is a magnetic build plate for 3D printers that allows your prints to easily stick to the build plate and be removed with a simple flex of our spring steel plate.
    Wham Bam Systems is dedicated to improving the 3D printing experience through innovation. Our first product line, the Wham Bam Flexible Build System, addresses the need for printers to have a more reliable build surface which is easy to install and makes printing and removing a breeze!
    Wham Bam was created when Peter Solomon, a long time inventor, award-winning designer, maker, and 3D printing addict realized that many of his personal modifications to his printers would be very useful to all 3D printers.
    Peter has been contributing to the community for years by posting his models to thingiverse, his how-to videos on youtube, and his advice to many forums. He became obsessed with resolving first layer adhesion as this is one of the issues that affect every 3d printer and then needed to find a way to get prints off the bed easier. When he made his first prototype and shared on social media nearly everyone wanted one, and BAM - Wham Bam was born.
    Wham Bam will continue to make high quality, economic 3D printer products following the same mission: Making 3D printing Easy, Productive and Fun!

    great video, thanks! BTW Wham Bam typically recommends that users mount the magnet directly to the Heated Bed and removing the extra glass or aluminum bed to reduce time to heat up. This is as long as your heated bed is pretty flat and stiff. If you do mount to bed, then remove the clamps and you are good to go!

      Typically the CR10 S Pro we recommend the 310 x 320 kit to fit full heated bed, but if you are going to use with the clamps as shown the 310x310 would be fine for you.

    It lasts a long time! Wham Bam recommends you scuff the steel wool between prints. I’m pretty sure. You’ll see the PEX will start to loose a little bite. Usually means it needs to be cleaned, and scuffed.

    • @LiquiDirt3D
      @LiquiDirt3D  5 лет назад

      Yes, I think you are right and I have been just cleaning with Alcohol between my prints with no scuffing between and it is printing really smoothe. So far no issues, constantly rubbing steel wool on the PEX could wear it out faster. So I'll just use a paper towel and Alcohol until I have a sticking problem. Also, I do heat my bed to 70C for the first 10 layers then drop it down to 50C for the rest of the print.

    Good Job Man! The PEX surface is really good for PLA and PETG.

  • @WhamBamSystems
    @WhamBamSystems 5 лет назад +1

    BTW, you can use multiple Flexi Plates and put any build surfaces on them so you have the interchangeability. And the PEX works amazingly with PETG, it won't stick if used according to our advise.

      This is good to know thank you and can you explain here how and the best way to Print PETG on the PEX?

    • @WhamBamSystems
      @WhamBamSystems 5 лет назад

      Absolutely, thanks.
      PETG has a similar component composition to PEI and PEX and therefore it likes to stick to them too well. We developed PEX with a higher melt point than PEI to outperform it on high temp materials.
      You should have no issues printing PETG,
      for safe removal we recommend that you allow part, not just Flexi Plate, to cool completely, and flex the Flexi Plate to pop it off, never pry with force or pull.
      Also set gap not so tight, very little first layer squish is needed.
      Bed temp 70C and hot end of 240-250 is ideal

    It shouldn't take a month for delivery! there was a batch of shipments with DHL which was routed all across the world before getting to the customers, we are sorry for this! It usually takes just a few days in shipping with DHL.

      This is understandable with the shipping I can only speak to the timing I had to wait for my delivery and I'm sure you have sorted out the issue and can get the product to customers faster then it came to me.

    You could have removed the front clips, right? That way, you save the integrity of both pieces

    I think it’s a issue your facing bcuz a lot if ppl I’ve seen do it not your wY but . It’s good you did it this way bcuz I got a friend with CR10 Max and might do it your way to b able to use different beds

  • @dvsmotions
    @dvsmotions 5 лет назад +3

    Why did you keep the old plate clips installed? They should be removed when using WhamBam.

    • @LiquiDirt3D
      @LiquiDirt3D  5 лет назад +2

      Because I am using several different build beds so I have to be able to switch them out so if the Whambam was permanently attached to the heated bed then I could not print some of the material I need to that will permanently stick to the PEX thus I require the ability to remove the build plate to swap it from time to time.
