I’m located in Chicago as well and I just completed my 60hr brokers portion and it’s very long but I made daily goals as to the amount of chapters to complete. I’m currently studying to take my finals.
Nice video! I'm part of the maintenance crew here at G-Village Toledo, but I also do leasing and actually working on our renewals and vacant utility connections in office today.
Thank you Caira! Wish I knew this info years ago looking for an apartment. Now I'm looking into working in this field. Praying for the best and very appreciative of this info. Chicago! Let's goooo! 💯
See here in Georgia, you still get hourly wage plus commission for some companies. I really don't know many places nearby that are 100% commissions like real estate
Good morning happy Thursday morning and I just wanted to say that your vlogs is sooo good I'm proud of you and you are sweetheart because you are amazing Supporter and I loved your channel always
I have been in sales just enough to know, best to set aside savings for six months before you launch into the sales job. Good idea to have a part time (like a morning coffee stand) until you a decent income coming in.
Caira! great video! I love how helpful this is. Is your team currently accepting applications? I have my license and would love to work under a team like yours. Thanks:) keep the videos coming!
Nice video so much information that is right to the point. Love it and you seem totally awesome too. I did a little math for commission pay and this is just a guess. You said you least 200 in a year and if that is $500 times 200 the average is $100,000 in a year give or take ??? Thanks again for your time. All best.
Moving to Chicago to do exactly this with another brokerage!! I’ll be living near River North, 5 min from my brokerage. Do you recommend having a car to be successful in this career? If you have a car, on average, how often do you find yourself using a personal vehicle versus commuting with public transport on busy touring days?
You are so informative & motivational! Thank you for sharing your knowledge! You have opened my mind to other options. I am currently working as a Leasing Consultant for MAA Mansion in Lexington Kentucky. Thank you so much!
How do you know the program you are taking is legit? For example, I want to complete a course for obtaining credentials and want to add it to my resume.
Hi! Do you think its possible to be a realtor AND leasing agent? I'm looking for a side job to balance bills while building my real estate career. Thank you for the video!
Hi Caira, I am interested in getting licensed as a Residential Leasing Agent (only interested in rentals). My question is will I be able to refer clients wanting to purchase to licensed Brokers, and receive referral commissions with my Leasing Agent license? Also, can I avoid paying C.A.R. fees if I choose not to be a Realtor, and do not use the MLS?
Hi Caira, I hope you see this, I work in chicago also as a leasing agent; and I have a question, did you use more listings on Compass' own internal database where you get a solid 45%or more split; or did you find yourself having to use the MLS more for rentals? which is a double split obviously, therefore (significantly) less commission? I'm in a situation where my brokerage doesn't have the best...internal database anymore, and I find myself having to use the MLS primarily for my rental postings...do you think this is a bad situation? I.E. a sufficient way to earn a living? or should I look for another brokerage? being that the MLS is going to pay say....$495 on $2200 rental. which is fine in some cases when you are really looking for that perfect spot for a client, but to have that as your only option can get a little worrisome in a 100% commission job, im finding.
Wow.. I need to do some research, I've just completed my real estate classes and about to sit for the state exam. But, I never heard of a leasing license !! is it just in certain states?. I'm in N.Y I have to check it out, any info would be great, Excellent video

Do leasing agents have to undergo a credit check prior to employment?

Yes but o think if you’re really trying you can’t be the best at both. Just my opinion though!
@@CairaButton Makes sense! Thanks so much☺️
Realtors can do leasing as well if I’m not mistaken. I know someone who’s first deal as a realtor was leasing.
