Getting personable with a prospect is always my number 1! Then asking what specific amenities are they looking for in their apartment home is a major question as well. I always try to show the actual unit/floor plan they are interested in unless it isn’t market ready to view. Knowing their budget preferred location and community amenities are more questions to ask a future resident.
Great video, enjoyed the info and details on asking the right questions to get the right tenant. Key questions makes the process move along a lot faster and fill those empty units.
Hello, Im an experienced leasing consultant. I don’t have a real estate license and it’s not required. It use to be so hard to get into this industry but I am not sure if it’s still hard. If I was you. I’d just keep applying until someone says yes. You can make great money.
Great video guys as always! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience. Few months ago I bought a rental property, and I've been having problems with my tenants, they moved in people that are not on a lease, they started being late with rent.. Who do I consult about what can I legally do, and what would you do in that situation?
Hi Peter - we have had ALL of these issues and many more over the years! First thing - how solid is your lease? That is important. If they are breaking the lease - having people that are not on the lease stay with them, you have every right to look into options on how to handle. We work with an eviction attorney here in Trenton, NJ. Do you have a local attorney who focuses on evictions? That would help! Keep us posted.
I recently signed a lease for an apartment in the building that is still in a process of construction. Then I noticed that the price for the identical unit is advertised for $100 less per month then mine. Am I entitled for a price adjustment at this point? ( I have not been assigned a particular unit yet)

I want to get into this industry with no experience. What is the first step I should take. Does this require training or certifications?

Margarita S I would ask for them to give you the lower rent, but since you signed the lease they are not obligated to say yes
