I have an interview coming up and have watched your video to get some good advice for the interview. Thanks for this incredible video! My favorite question is 'What do you want the person in this position to accomplish in the first few weeks or months?'
@@missgiggles9871 Thank you for watching! I agree, I think this is a great question to ask because it gives you a clear idea of what they are expecting you to achieve in the first 30, 60, 90, or even 365 days on the job!
I like to ask (after all the technical stuff) "what attracted you to this company?" Or "what are some of your hobbies etc". My goal is to see whether they have the kind of work life balance I'm hoping to have and see if the things that attracted them to the company are still true now that they're in the role.
I got the job! People! These questions work…especially the questions where the interviewers get to speak about themselves…the recruiter literally wouldn’t stop talking 😂🤣😂 I’m making the most money I’ve ever made! I came back to tell you thank you! Honey, I don’t know who/what u believe in but you are literally doing God’s work. 🙌🏾
I Got The Job!!! I watched this video the night before my final interview. I did ask "is there anything that is causing you hesitation about my fit for this position?" during the interview and the Sr. Manager was so surprised that I requested instant feedback. They bascially acknowledged my skillset and wilingness to grow and confirmed that they had the confidence in my fit for the role. I received the offer few days later! Thanks you so much!!!
I literally asked 3 questions, which led HR DIrector talk forever and I thought it was so good and we ended up chatting at the end and I felt I had built a great rapport with her that I was built some courage and asked her: "based on what we talked about today, is there anything causing you hestation on my fit for this role" They literally said NO I did great, I knew I got the job before they gave me the call back!! Thank you!!!
@@kawanasmall1257🤣 Sometimes you have to feel the room. If the vibe is not there don’t ask. She probably wasn’t prepared for the question and didn’t know how to answer it but yet they expect people being interviewed to give a clear concise answer to their questions.
I love how you go straight to your points...unlike other HR youtubers that fill 75% of their videos with fluff. You go straight to the meat of the matter. Love it! So helpful! ❤
Thank you SO much for sharing these tips! I asked a HESITATION question during my interview and the hiring manager shared how brave and bold she thought it was to ask for feedback during an interview. It also kept me from doing what I have always done in the past after an interview, walking away wondering, "What did they think?" I left the interview knowing exactly what they thought AND I was able to craft my thank you message addressing the hesitations. It proved to be effective because I GOT THE JOB!!! Thank you!
Binged your videos an hour before my interview and got really encouraged by the comments saying they got the job. I promised myself that once i got hired I would come back and thank you and I got the job a few days ago and just got my onboarding date!❤🎉 So thank you so much for these videos you’re truly a godsend ⭐️
I don't love the hesitation question at the end. As someone who's been the one interviewing before, we're told we can't give any indication one way or the other as to what we think about the candidate we're interviewing. This puts HR in a really bad mood if the candidate doesn't end up getting the job and were told they stood out in the inrterview process. As a person who's also been interviewed, I just accept that if a company doesn't want to hire me, it's their loss and I gave it my best shot. I no longer go into interviews feeling desperate for the job even if I am. If you're too eager, it's a turn off as well because we all know interviews don't always weed out bad employees/employers and can be pretentious. Smile, be professional, be truthful and transparent, and I have found that most interviewers appreciate not having to dance around to make a decision on whether they like you or not. Also keep in mind that YOU are also interviewing them. I don't hide the fact that I'm also looking to see if the employer is a good fit for me.
I had few interviews last week and this week with different companies. I asked them cultural, role-specific and hesitation questions but I still got rejected. But I will ask the questions you mentioned in the video. Nevertheless, I was looking for the questions in the comments, here's for anyone that's doing the same. Questions to ask the interviewers: (that's mentioned in the video) Cultural based: What is your favorite part about working here in this organization Do you love most about your job? What makes people stay with this organization? What are the biggest challenges or opportunities that this organization or department is facing in the next 6 months to a year How would you describe the work environment here? Role-specific: Can you tell me about a typical day or week looks like in this position? What do you want the person this in position to accomplish in their first 30,60 and 90 days ? What challenges or opportunities do you foresee this position taking on in the next 6 months ? How will my performance will be measured in this position? What are the next steps in the interview process? Hesitation: Based on what we talked about today is there anything that is causing you any hesitation about my fit for this position? How do I compare to other candidate that you interview for this role? Do you have any hesitations about my qualifications? Is there anything I can clarify for you? Have I answered all of the questions that you have for me ?
I got the job! Thank you so much. The interviewer decided to end my interview in just 15 minutes as I failed to answer one of the technical questions. When they asked if I had any questions, I asked the first question, "what do you love about your job?". They were surprised and said no one asked them this before. They excitedly answered my question and I tried to blend in and give my own opinions and voila!! The interview was dragged for 1 hour and I got the job!! So please ask these questions and always be energetic and motivated. I'm wishing the best of luck to everyone out there. ❤Thank you so much to you. You did a great job. May God bless you always.
Did an interview today. Supervisor spent 10 minutes telling me about their culture, what they do, and what's important to them...and then asked if I had any questions. That's the only thing she asked me. If I hadn't watched this video, I'd have been totally caught off guard. Luckily I did watch this and pre-planned my questions. Forty minutes of conversation later, I have the job. Thank you!
Incredible!! Congratulations on your new position, and I am so glad this video and recommendations were helpful. What an interesting interview - was this a second or third interview, or was this the one and only interview? I actually like this layout much more than a traditional interview because I bet it felt more like a conversation than it did an interview. Again, congratulations!
Congratulations to you 🎊 👏 💐, l had 45 minutes interview, l asked only one question at the end. I was shown the job and introduced to other employees. But l didn't get the job, Still don't know what happened. L never asked, But l believe something somewhere turned my interviewer off . Anyway I am off to another interviews, 2 of them this week , God help me. 🙏
it was 20 mins to interview, and because of nevous breakdown I did not prepare for the interview. I watched this video and guess what guys, I got the job!!!!!
Thank you for sharing this list. I think the first two categories-Cultural Base Questions and Role Specific Questions-are excellent for showcasing genuine curiosity and professionalism during an interview. They highlight the candidate’s interest in the organization and the role, which is always a positive impression. However, I do have some feedback on the Hesitation Questions: 1. The first three questions, while well-intentioned, may come across as insecure or overly eager. As a hiring manager, we’re often unable to discuss other candidates or explain why we haven’t made a decision yet-it’s a matter of professionalism and confidentiality. 2. Asking why you’re not being hired immediately (even if worded more subtly) can feel pushy and undermine the confidence you’ve built during the interview. As a hiring manager for 15 years, I would rather hear these questions. 1. What qualities or traits have made others successful in this role at your organization? • This focuses on positive attributes, showing you’re thinking about long-term success in the position. 2. What does growth or advancement look like for someone in this position over the next year or two? • A forward-thinking question that demonstrates ambition without pressuring the hiring manager for immediate feedback. 3. Can you share any insights about the team I’d be working with or collaborating with in this role? • This shifts the focus away from insecurities about the hiring process and onto building rapport with the team, which is key to understanding the role’s dynamics. 4. What excites you most about the future of this organization? • A more big-picture question that can help candidates connect their goals to the company’s vision, leaving a confident and optimistic impression. 5. What do you think would be the most important focus for the first 30, 60, or 90 days in this role? • While it’s similar to a question in the “Role Specific” section, it reframes the conversation around delivering value early, which hiring managers appreciate.
LOVE these examples. Thank you so much for taking the time to share and put these together. I am actually in the process of making an update to this video - would you mind if I shared some of your examples?
I just came back here to say, I asked the question on based on what we discussed, do you feel there's a reason why I might not be a right fit for the job. My interviewers were really surprised and I'm happy to say I got the job.
This is definitely helpful. I remember many years ago when I was interviewing, I was about to leave after asking a few simple questions, but then I turned around and asked the man, *"What do you NEED from your associate that the last person in this position didn't give you?"* That stopped him dead in his tracks. I remember he looked shocked and then said no one had ever asked him a question like that before. He then taught me two things with his answer that I never forgot. *1)* Most important are *the three A's: Amiability, Availability, Ability.* He said being a nice person to be around, and Actually Being There (not taking off all the time) was more crucial to him than the skill level. *2)* He said, *"I would rather you ask 100 questions up front than to wait and say you didn't understand the case or project."* Be proactive and make sure you know what is expected of you up front (which is why this brilliant video just taught us!!! 🤗), rather than make excuses later.
I watched your video 1 hour before my interview, and I aced that interview. My interviewer was impressed. I came back to say thank you, new subscriber, here.!
I nearly floored them with the final question!! 😊 They were so impressed by the question, the answer was “any hesitations I may have had are now gone.” Thank you!!
Thank you for sharing this information. Not sure if anyone has listed these in the comments already. Culture: What's your favorite part about working here in this organization? What do you love most about your job? What makes people stay with this organization? What are the biggest challenges or opportunities that this organization or department is facing in the next months to a year? How would you describe the work environment here? Role-specific: Could you tell me what a typical day or week looks like in this position? What do you want the person in this position to accomplish in their first 30, 60 and 90 days? What challenges or opportunities do you foresee this position taking on in the next six months? How will my performance be measured in this position? What are the next steps in the interview process? Hesitation: Based on what we talked about today, is there anything that is causing you hesitation about my fit for this position? How do I compare to other candidates you've interviewed for this role? Do you have any hesitations about my qualifications? Is there anything I can clarify for you? Have I answered all of the questions that you have for me?
Thankyou! Ive watched other videos like this and they had listed them across the screen so we could just screenshot it but she didn’t do that here so thank you so much for this. It saves me a lot of having to write it all down.😂
OMFG THANK YOU SO MUCH I'M ACTUALLY SO GRATEFUL!!! I have my first ever interview on Monday and I'm terrified but this will help so much for if they ask me if I have any questions AAA thank youuu

Hi I had a life changing job opportunity and I used your teachings and asked hesitation questions it was a panel interview the main boss said I love when people ask these questions with a big smile and I got the job ❤.. thank you for your wisdom.
Omg!!! It worked I asked 3 questions at the end and right after my the interview I got the Job offer in a Manger’s role I didn’t even apply for! You are the best I will refer everyone to view your video 😊
I have a shift manager interview tomorrow...eek. One of the questions I'm going to ask is "As far as your current team dynamic, what do you feel are their current strengths, and what areas do you feel need honing in and improvement?"
Hi Abby! I had a job interview yesterday for a school nurse position and at the end of the interview, when they asked if I had any questions for them, I asked "What is the culture like here?" The assistant superintendent turned to the principal and said: "Oooo...good question!" Then I asked what their favorite part was about working for that district was and he turned to her again with a big smile and said "Wow!" "Great question!" Definitely made it a good experience and lightened the atmosphere.

I watched your video the day before my interview and I asked some of these questions. And I just got an email that I got the job.Thank you so much for this. God bless you :). And if you have an interview sometime soon know that you got this! Be confident, you are more than qualified to have that job and you will❤️
Congratulations!!! I'm so happy for you and I am glad my video helped you prepare some questions for the end of your interview. Also, thank you for the encouraging words for other interviewers ❤
I had an interview today and finished with the Big 3... I don't know how it went but the first interviewer seemed delighted for the opportunity to talk instead of take notes... Even asked the Have you any hesitation about my fit for the role or with the team... So bold (and unlike me)... Thanks I've never had an interview coach before... I felt nervous, of course, but when asked I said confident and prepared 😊 Update :I am thru to the security clearance... Thanks 🤞
I watch a lot of RUclips videos for personal development but rarely ever leave comments. Not this time. I literally found your video minutes before my virtual interview for a behavioral health case manager. I'm stating the position so people can be encouraged that these questions should and probably will work for almost any job. Anyway, I wrote down the questions on 3 note cards and had them close by during the interview. Two managers interviewed me for 60 minutes. I asked two questions from the first two categories. I was tempted but resisted the urge to ask anything from the 3rd category. 😂. I felt confident but not that confident. As another commenter said, you must feel out the interview and go with your gut. Regardless of the outcome, your questions helped me come across as more professional and engaged. I'm sharing your video with everyone I know who's job hunting. Thank you again.
I just got my job offer this afternoon after consulting this video a few weeks ago during the interview process. One bonus question you could ask during your interview that might not apply to all jobs, but in my interview ended up being a great jumping off point to discuss in depth the future of the business. I basically asked: “this may be a silly question, but what potential role if any do you foresee AI (artificial intelligence) playing for the company over the next 10+ years?” It turns out it was NOT a silly question, and 3 of the hiring managers present at the interview had thoughts, and it was actually something they have given a ton of thought to. Which made me feel like it was a bit of a “flex” since they probably don’t get that question on most interviews, and it ended up with them doing a lot of talking and building great rapport. Thanks again! Great video.
@@azaleablue2261 Possibly an extra layer of screening, like we have now but worse. However, I highly doubt it would ever replace all interviews; remember that the interview isn't just showing capability, it's also about whether the people in the company would like to work with you.
I remember applying for an airline company and got to third and final round. I think I messed up with the question about whether I had a disagreement with a coworker. I think honesty is not the best policy 😅. Well one of their questions was how many planes they've got. I didn't do any research on that so I just guessed. And at the end of the interview, I couldn't remember what questions I asked them, however, one question that I asked still stuck to this day. I asked them how many planes they have and they all laughed and just said I'll leave that for you to search it up 😂😂😂. Pretty sure they didn't know either. I always try to tell myself I didn't get the job because of that question, but I think it was more the behavioral question about a disagreement with a worker that might have failed me in my interview. 😅
I got the job!!!! I promised myself I would come back here to comment if I got it. These questions work!!! Thank you soooo much! If you´re watching this now, just go for it and ask these questions!
There is no worse feeling than going for a job you need but dont want (call centre, warehouse worker, etc...) and having to put up with the interview "tell us about a time you xyz... whatre your weaknesses? Do you have any questions for us?" like, ditch the mindgames; give me the job!
The "tell me about a time" questions make me want to get up and leave. Not being on heroin or in and out of jail should be enough to alleviate concerns. You're already there because they thought you were at least somewhat qualified, so why are they wasting time with that? Only technical, job related questions should be asked.
Oh my god yes!! This is what i always wonder about also. Like why are managers making it such a pain in the ass to get a job and asking hard questions. I just had an interview recently where some questions had to do with "tell me about a time..." I wanted to scream cause i didn't know what to say and panicked about what i could say for an answer.
@@kittycat5919 it HAS to be a power thing. IVE HAD THAT QUESTION! I feel your pain! "tell me about a time you overcame a challenge in a relevant position and walk me through the steps you took in identifying then overcoming it" *gives answer* s-sorry did that answer your question? *smiles* "yes dont worry" *never hear back from them again* If it's for a dream job, okay. but so many times the questions are for script following call centre jobs or equally simplistic jobs
I searched but didn't see anyone ask..... after asking the hesitation question- if they give you a reason why they are hesitating, for example maybe they say "the only thing I may be concerned about is your lack of experience in this specific role".... are you then supposed to explain why that won't be a problem? Or should you just receive the feedback. My instinct would be to say something like, "What I lack in experience I make up for in determination and grit!", but I don't want to sound like I am arguing...... Thank you for the helpful videos!
Hi -- career coach, here! 👋 My advice is to not "rebut" the interviewer immediately, but instead respond with another question -- one that is action-orientated. So, to use your example from above, one possible answer might be, "are there any particular duties that you're concerned about my lack of experience in this industry being a problem? I'd love to get specific and see if I can provide any additional context or clarity for you". The secret is: it's not really about 'remedying' any hesitation ... it's about sharing in it. If they say something like, "yes, the inventory management system we use is complex and prone to human error" you could then come back with "gotcha, yeah, I could see how that might make you nervous. Well, I can't speak to that particular system, but I can say generally that I'm a quick study when it comes to digital interfaces and generally have a 'measure twice, cut once' approach to things. (Let's hope you're quick on your feet in that moment, but I think you get the gist).
I had my first band 6 junior sister interview yesterday. I asked some of these questions. When they called me back they offered me the job and said they were really impressed by the questions asked at the end. 🎉 So whatever you do - make-sure you ask these questions. And good luck everyone ❤
@@naty1012 Not 100% - most of these questions (minus the "hard/hesitation" questions) are truly to get to know the role and the organization (including the people interviewing you) better. They demonstrate interest and enthusiasm in a potential role/organization, which is important. The hard/hesitation questions require a little more courage, bravery, and risk, but they tend to have big payoffs because the interviewers are impressed with people's willingness (and courage) to request feedback in real-time!
As someone who has conducted a couple hundred interviews, these questions are great! I especially like the culture set because it's always good to get the interviewer feeling those warm fuzzies. Getting them talking about what they love about their team or the company will help them leave the interview feeling good about you.
Hello! I wanted to come back & say i got my job! I interviewed from an RN dialysis position and i asked two of the questions you stated here. They were surprised i had such detailed questions & were impressed with the feedback i had in response.
I am returning to thank you a million times for the invaluable help you provided me through your videos. I was for 2 weeks soaking it in, listening and making notes of your encouragements and guidance. I am a RN and I have never felt so confident in an interview like this one. Including that this job was an answered prayer for 5 years, I had to definitely work on my part. The interview was very stress free with a cozy ambience. Of course confidence was my ally and weapon. They fell in love and I was hired. Those questions for management are imperative. They knew I was well prepared and stated: "We know you have questions for us so go ahead, we are ready to answer." Thank you for your commitment and devoted heart to help others. May God continue to bless you in abundance so you can keep helping others find their way.
After my interview today at the NHS, I asked questions to the interviewers , and they where pleased to answer, it was very engaging as they got to do some talking, believe me they loved it, at the end they said that was a lovely interview, thank you so much.😊😊😊😊 Ohhh I passed as well😅
I have no been in an interview in overb25 years and alot has changed. You video help ne get better prepare. I have a job interview today..and I'm very nervous but I have a better understanding of this now. Thank you
Hello! Just wanted to say I watched this video last week and I had an interview with my current employer for an internal promotion and I got the job offer! The last part of the interview, when the hiring manager asked me if I had any questions, I asked the hesitation question and I threw her off in a good way and she actually replied saying that she feels I am very qualified for the role and why and I believe that is what got me the role. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Update: I watched your video the day before my interview & incorporated your questions into my interview. 100% the BEST and most effective question I asked was “Based on what we talked about today, what are your concerns about me being a good fit for this role?” This was great because he told me there wasn’t any and I got the job on the spot! That question reduced so much anxiety cause I didn’t just end the interview & have to sit in limbo for days on end wondering if it went well (tbh I don’t really have the experience for the job, so I do think my answers as well as the ending interview questions helped a lot!). Anyways thank you so much for the amazing tips!
YES!!! Thank you for reporting back and sharing your experience, particularly with the hesitation/hard question!! It's scary to ask this, but SO WORTH IT!
So i got laid off from my job after 15 years in october of last year, and i have been struggling to find a job. I watched this video and a few more of yours a few hours before my interview for a job i REALLY wanted. I asked the interviewers what they liked about working for the company, if they thought that i woukd struggle with anything based on how i answered their behavioral questions, and i just had a statement for the last one because i wasnt comfortable asking the hesitancy question. That statement was : "if this jobmis open to anyone, id like to have it. I enjoyed our conversation and it was my pleasure meeting with you today. Ty for the opportunity" and the next day i got a call with the job offer! Wish i had found you a lot sooner. ❤
I used some of these tips and got the job offer! Thank you. 😊 Asking about the work environment and how will my performance be measured got the most enthusiastic answers in my 2-hour/2-panel interview.
I just quickly watched this before an interview for a promotion, and it helped so much! When I asked the "hesitation question" my boss replied "what a great question!" ...anyway, long story short, I got the promotion! Thankyou!
Thanks Abby. I remember saying that I didn't have any questions for the interviewer. Now I always have a pocket notepad on me with several questions to ask. Looking for a job is a fulltime job in itself.
This is a really, really good interview with solid recommendations for questions we should ask in an interview. I just re-watched it and took some notes. My favorite is to ask the hiring manager if they have any reservations/ hesitations about my candidacy. I'd rather know and address it.
@@cassandra.perez0595 So sorry to hear about that - it's always a bummer when you get a "rejection." Fingers crossed your interview over the phone went well!
Very unique video and relevant coaching. ❤ I usually don't have questions in mind after interviews, but I know it gauges how interested an applicant is to the company. As for me, my brain and mouth are tired after the draining interview.
I was told that years ago after I interviewed with my potential boss's boss. I now always carry questions to ask a the end that I make a point not to used during the rest of the interview. I personally don't understand why I need to ask more questions after I have asked a million questions already. But I do really like that last example question that you gave. It is perfect for wrapping up the interview and it is a question that would be out of place except at the end of an interview. Thanks, I will never have to worry about not having a question at the end of an interview.
10+ year recruiter here: I would NOT ask anything mentioning hesitation. It’s an awkward set up and too negative. Instead, ask what they think my greatest challenge would be in this role. Then you can come back and let them know how you would overcome that and be successful. Cite examples from your past if you can. I don’t like the way the hesitation questions are poised.
With all due respect... I'd send u back to training - since this shows STAMINA... which is quite needed in this day and age... Perhaps u've been recruiting the same way for too long :)... Keep in mind - the goal is to get the best candidate, not what u like and dont like :)... Just sharing an opinion.. no disrespect...
One more additional question is to ask the interviewer: Can they give you examples of what factors differentiates a good worker in this position from a -great- worker in this position? (Be ready to take specific notes!)
YES! Great additional question to ask. This is 100% a good question to ask because a specific person who is good vs a specific person who is great will come to mind and they will describe real-world experience with people who do this job really well. Thanks so much for watching and for sharing your insight!
I feel pretty confident about my interview skills, but I wanted to hear about asking questions at the end. By the end of my interview, they had a closing that answered my main questions, so when they asked if I had questions, I restated their information that I had learned about orientation times, training, and advancement opportunities. I decided to go for the hesitation question and it went well! I learned how many others were interviewing for the position and where I stood. It was very helpful and I feel like I have a great chance! I'll know in a week!! Thanks!!
Hope you hear good news soon!! Thanks for reporting back with your experience, it hopefully will help others build up the courage to ask the hesitation question too!
I just have to say, I was given 24 hours notice for a job interview. First thing I did was research the position more since this is a career change for me. Second I came to RUclips for some prep help and happened to come across your videos. I've been watching them all morning and taking notes. I don't know if I got the job yet but I really don't care because that just felt like the absolute best interview I've ever had! I felt so confident at the end of it, and feel like I did really well! I asked some of these questions and the hiring manager was very impressed with them! 🤯 I also used your videos on describing myself. I can't thank you enough!!
You are fabulous!!! Thank you so much!! I have a Flight Attendant interview with Delta!! I am in process of doing my research "getting ready". I am a teacher, so I think I know everything BUT .... Again, fabulous teaching and great material!! My favorite question: What do you love most about your job?
4:16 an AMAZING question to ask. If I were an interviewer this question from a candidate would blow me away! It means they have come to work and learn! I am taking this one down for my interview tomorrow
Yay! Thanks for the very specific feedback on the question about what the HM wants the person to accomplish in their first 30, 60, and 90 days. I hope you had a great interview! Let me know how it went :)
@@LifeWorkBalance it was amazing. I got the job 45 mins after I left. Loving my new job in a new Industry! Not only did this help me to show them I was on the ball it helped me feel more confident going in and during the interview. I love it
Hi Abby, thank you for your videos. I got my dream job yesterday, because of my preparation based on your advice. I modified my resume towards that specific job emphasizing my skills. I also prepared both interviewers a thank you card. My future boss was very surprised and he said, wow, that's a first! I can't thank you enough. Hope you can help more people!
@@beatriceadugyamfi4406 It was likely a little "generic" and said something like, "thank you for your time/this opportunity...if there is any additional information I can provide, I would be happy to clarify...etc. etc." This is a great preparation strategy, even if it is "generic" it still can make an impression! It's also possible to leave some blank space to personalize it a bit after the interview.
I don't know about the hesitation question. It really brings up the thought of competition and really hones in on your weakness and leaving the interviewer lasting impression of you being weak. The only time I would ask that only if u are overqualified and the interview went extremely well.
I got the job alhamdulillah! I watched your video before my interview and I did as you said and the interviewer was so surprised and I could see her mood changed bc before I asked the questions I wasn’t feeling good about the interview. Thank you so much. I really like how you deliver the content. You’re to the point without a bunch of unnecessary fluff.
commenting on here so that I could come back in a few days and say that I got the job!! I'm feeling great after watching this video, and also knowing that I'm preparing as much as I can :) thank you!!
@@arivoorhis7651 not good lol. I prepared the best I could but ultimately my nerves got the best of me, and it caused me to blank out a lot. But I’m learning from my mistakes for the future
Hi Abby, Thanks for your video. I attended my interview yesterday for a nursery TA role and asked three questions of each type at the end of the interview. Actually, I like the third type the most. I asked them if there is any hesitation about my fit for this role. They told me the truth that I don't have enough working experience with Children. I replied to them that I had a child and I hold a lot of play dates every weekends and I have passion about education. Why do I like this question the most? Because you have you last chance to sell yourself and persuade them to give you the chance. I haven't received the result and they told me they will interview other people so it will take around one week. Thank you.
I’m so grateful for all the videos I watched before my first job interview after 11 years of being a stay at home Mom. I got the job, Paid Free CNA Training at the Hospital. I’m asked 3 questions. Several questions been asked to me that I am not familiar with. Glad, I did my research. And I’m honest to my to all my answers.
When I interviewed yrs ago, I asked these types of questions and it would impress them, but it wasnt the "qualifier," if someone is more experienced/gifted in the role, they will beat you. But these are amazing questions that you should ask!!! As the interviewer now, I only ask the interviewee to tell me about their personality type, attachement type, work ethic, creative outlets, and desired work culture. Then I pair that will the results of their assessment test. Whoever is the most qualified per experience and personality/culture type gets the job from me.
Thank you so much I asked these question had an interview on the Friday morning got a call that afternoon that I got the job so excited I also printed my questions out and took them to my interview the panel didn’t worry about me having them It was for a job I wasn’t even sure I would get but I was prepared got it thanks again
Hi Abby! I want to thank you so much for sharing these tips and questions with us all!!! I had an interview the day after I found your channel, and I have to say it felt great going in prepared for the end of the interview. It definitely showed that I had researched and was interested in the position. I asked them 3 questions; 1 question per each category. They were really impressed with how well prepared I was and how different each question was from each other. I did ask the "Is there any hesitation" question, a super vulnerable question, however they said there was none, they were impressed with how confident and prepared I was on the interview and of the questions. Again, thank you so much!!
Abby, I ended up watching your videos to prepare for my upcoming interviews which, in a field that very seldom one gets out of the first committee evaluation, landing 3 this time was amazing. I ended up being invited to the zoom interview I really wanted and later, a campus visit after which I was offered THE position. I attribute this successful interview to the things I learned and ultimately changed on my interviews by learning from you. You're an amazing professional and right on point - Thanks so very much!
I'm watching this before my first interview post undergrad and I can truthfully say your videos are easing some of my nerves and making me feel better prepared. My goal is to come back and report that I got the job
Great video. Thank you! I am watching this to prepare for an interview later today, but I have much more experience on the other end conducting interviews as a hiring manager. I would finish my spiel then ask “what questions do you have for me?” and it was always disappointing when an interviewee had zero questions. High school teachers should be required to go over this material with seniors before graduating.
I watched this video over and over again! This is my favorite video! It stuck to my brain! 😂 I nailed my interview and got the job I really wanted!!! Your video help me prepare and given me so much confidence. Thank you sooo much!! You’re the best! 🥰🙏🏻👏🏼
Just wanted to mention, I found this video when I was preparing for a performance based evaluation for a new position. I’ll admit that I was never really good at asking questions of my interviewers, but after watching your video, I wrote down about 5 questions and sure enough, they asked me if I had any. Thank you so much for the tip
Thank you so much for watching and for your feedback! I am so glad you were prepared when they asked you if you had any questions - I hope everything turns out exactly as you are hoping. Best wishes!
I'm happy to share with everyone that I got the job today and the question I asked to the hiring manager is "how would you describe the work environment here" then he answered me nonstop and literally went beyond 11-12 minutes time of the interview 😅 I am so nervous and excited, mixed feelings about my first job here in USA. Thank you so much and God bless us all 🫶🏼 Orientation will be tomorrow, Yay! 😊
I think the "hestation" is a double edged sword, because if they did not have any before, they are think about it now. I use to ask for "any feedback or concerns," and sometimes they would tell me & I could address the concern, but it could be mistaken for arguing or not accepting feedback. One interviewer even refereed to the question as being "very forward".
Hi I watched this a day before my interview and it was so helpful. I asked all the types of questions and after the 2nd question the interviewer stopped sat back and said wow what amazing questions… oh dear I think I’m being interviewed her and broke the ice in the room. She also said I like it😄 On the hesitation question she said wow… FairPlay to you for asking this… I’m impressed 😂 I initially felt silly and cheeky honestly asking do you have any hesitation hiring me and I was very shocked with her response😄. Very positive and made me feel confident. Will here next week if I get the post. Thank you for these as they genuinely helped me with lots of tips. I was always one who never knew what to ask at the end… but never again.🤞🏼
Maya, wow! It sounds like you had a GREAT interview and you were able to genuinely connect with your interviewer. It sounds like she had a great time interviewing you and you were both comfortable, which is the key! Awesome job. I hope you have good news next week!!
I have an interview tomorrow, and the part where we ask questions has been giving me anxiety until I came across this video. Thank you so much for such an informative video, puts me in a much better headspace.
thank you so much you saved my life i went on an interview yesterday when I watched your video and ask 3 questions, they immediately called me back saying i have to fill the application form so that i can start as early as possible 🥰.thank you
Hello there! I got the job that I was interviewing for! I am so grateful for your videos. I felt much better prepared for the entire process and I know your help made the difference. Thank you!
I really appreciate the advice offered in this video. The biggest benefits I received from this video was learning that I should keep the interviewer talking and why, as well as some good examples of the type of questions that I could ask. Your advice has led me to having the opportunity for a 2nd interview, thank you Abby.
Going back into the workforce is scary when you have done have different skills to bring to the table. I watch your end of interview statements and I'm didn't know these where a thing? So grateful I watch this I have a interview next Thursday and I will incorporate the questions into my interview. Thank you for being so kind in sharing your knowledge with everyone. Laura Annan
Thank you so much! I secured a job after leaving a job for a month. I learnt a lot from your videos. I have always passed my tests dilligently but when comes to interviews i have always mentioned the wrong things due to nervousness. After watching your videos, i have learnt what are the important things to talk and ask!
What is YOUR favorite question to ask at the end of an interview?
@@jennj2696 These are GREAT questions to ask! If the interviewers don't have good balance, that could be a red flag for new hires!

I came back to tell you thank you! Honey, I don’t know who/what u believe in but you are literally doing God’s work. 🙌🏾
Congratulations!! I am so glad you got the job and I am thrilled to hear these questions helped!!

I have an interview tomorrow manifesting to get the job 😅
I Got The Job!!! I watched this video the night before my final interview. I did ask "is there anything that is causing you hesitation about my fit for this position?" during the interview and the Sr. Manager was so surprised that I requested instant feedback. They bascially acknowledged my skillset and wilingness to grow and confirmed that they had the confidence in my fit for the role. I received the offer few days later! Thanks you so much!!!
Incredible!! Congratulations! 🎉
Thank you for reporting back and sharing your experience with us!

I need 5 examples of questions I can ask my interviewers, thank you
@@BasseyAsuquo-n2y Did you watch the video?
I literally asked 3 questions, which led HR DIrector talk forever and I thought it was so good and we ended up chatting at the end and I felt I had built a great rapport with her that I was built some courage and asked her: "based on what we talked about today, is there anything causing you hestation on my fit for this role" They literally said NO I did great, I knew I got the job before they gave me the call back!! Thank you!!!
YAY!! Thank you for reporting back with your results! This is the outcome most people hope for - congratulations on your new job!
Op, That’s a great one! Thanks
Same here. This video really helped me.
I did this and the interviewer was offended.
Love it! So helpful! ❤
Thank you for your feedback! I try to keep it concise and to the point :)
Same I like that as well.
So True!!
Thank you!
Using this thank you! Do you mind sharing the exact question you asked?

Wow this is really eye opening never thought about these specific questions going to try thank you so much 🙏🏾

I don't hide the fact that I'm also looking to see if the employer is a good fit for me.
such a great advice! thank you!!
I think some people have to learn to feel out the situation and see if this question would weigh in their favor. It worked for me.
Agree completely.
100% agreed and thank you for such a great advice
I think the hesitation question is a good chance to let the interviewer raise a doubt they have, so the interviewee can address it
I had few interviews last week and this week with different companies. I asked them cultural, role-specific and hesitation questions but I still got rejected. But I will ask the questions you mentioned in the video. Nevertheless, I was looking for the questions in the comments, here's for anyone that's doing the same.
Questions to ask the interviewers: (that's mentioned in the video)
Cultural based:
What is your favorite part about working here in this organization
Do you love most about your job?
What makes people stay with this organization?
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities that this organization or department is facing in the next 6 months to a year
How would you describe the work environment here?
Role-specific:
Can you tell me about a typical day or week looks like in this position?
What do you want the person this in position to accomplish in their first 30,60 and 90 days ?
What challenges or opportunities do you foresee this position taking on in the next 6 months ?
How will my performance will be measured in this position?
What are the next steps in the interview process?
Hesitation:
Based on what we talked about today is there anything that is causing you any hesitation about my fit for this position?
How do I compare to other candidate that you interview for this role?
Do you have any hesitations about my qualifications?
Is there anything I can clarify for you?
Have I answered all of the questions that you have for me ?
Thanks dear 🙏🌷
THANK YOU!!!!!!!
Not sure can ask a hesitation based question for nsw public service interviews? Love these tips!
Thank you for summarizing!
You may not have been rejected because of the questions you asked at the end but possibly due to your overall performance .

Thank you for sharing this list. I think the first two categories-Cultural Base Questions and Role Specific Questions-are excellent for showcasing genuine curiosity and professionalism during an interview. They highlight the candidate’s interest in the organization and the role, which is always a positive impression.
However, I do have some feedback on the Hesitation Questions:
I think I like this version better
PS: This was an attorney that no one ever worked with longer than 11 months because he was terrible. I worked with him for six years. 😁
I absolutely love your question and am going to add that to my list! Thank you.
oooohhh I like that question.. I am going to use it!!!

I wanted to come back to this video and comment that I got the job!!!!! Practice makes perfect, do your research and be confident, you got this!
Thanks for sharing!! Congratulations on the job!!
I got the job nine months ago because of this video. Today I'm back going for a higher role. Thank you
WOO! Way to go, and thanks for coming back!
I just got my job offer this afternoon after consulting this video a few weeks ago during the interview process. One bonus question you could ask during your interview that might not apply to all jobs, but in my interview ended up being a great jumping off point to discuss in depth the future of the business. I basically asked: “this may be a silly question, but what potential role if any do you foresee AI (artificial intelligence) playing for the company over the next 10+ years?”
It turns out it was NOT a silly question, and 3 of the hiring managers present at the interview had thoughts, and it was actually something they have given a ton of thought to. Which made me feel like it was a bit of a “flex” since they probably don’t get that question on most interviews, and it ended up with them doing a lot of talking and building great rapport.
Thanks again! Great video.
In the next five or less years A.I will be doing all the interviews.

That’s a hot take. I could see it
Tk u so much definitely using this
@@azaleablue2261 Possibly an extra layer of screening, like we have now but worse. However, I highly doubt it would ever replace all interviews; remember that the interview isn't just showing capability, it's also about whether the people in the company would like to work with you.
What type of company or business?
Yup -- I also think asking some questions at the end shows your curiosity mindset, critical thinking, and initiative.
Agreed!
I’m watching this right now I have an interview tomorrow
That hesitation question is gold! Thank you!
I got the job!!!! I promised myself I would come back here to comment if I got it. These questions work!!! Thank you soooo much! If you´re watching this now, just go for it and ask these questions!
CONGRATULATIONS!! I hope you're liking your new job :)
@@Chet_24😂😂😂

*gives answer* s-sorry did that answer your question?
*smiles* "yes dont worry"
*never hear back from them again*
If it's for a dream job, okay. but so many times the questions are for script following call centre jobs or equally simplistic jobs
🤣🤣🤣
(Let's hope you're quick on your feet in that moment, but I think you get the gist).
thank you. I had the same question and this makes me feel like I can handle it. @EmilieGockel @@shaye5095

I had my first band 6 junior sister interview yesterday. I asked some of these questions. When they called me back they offered me the job and said they were really impressed by the questions asked at the end. 🎉 So whatever you do - make-sure you ask these questions. And good luck everyone ❤
Congrats!
@@LifeWorkBalanceis it the bravery & ability to take a risk why people are getting the job with these questions? I haven't watched the video yet.
Congratulations!! 🎉🎈🎊 thank you for sharing your good news!

They knew I was well prepared and stated: "We know you have questions for us so go ahead, we are ready to answer."
Thank you for your commitment and devoted heart to help others.
May God continue to bless you in abundance so you can keep helping others find their way.
CONGRATULATIONS and thank you so much for coming back to share
I got a new job today his week using these tips! I believe this was the difference maker. They couldn’t stop talking! Thank you!
After my interview today at the NHS, I asked questions to the interviewers , and they where pleased to answer, it was very engaging as they got to do some talking, believe me they loved it, at the end they said that was a lovely interview, thank you so much.😊😊😊😊 Ohhh I passed as well😅

Edit: I GOT THE JOB!😭✨ THANK U SM FOR THE TIPS 💗
YES!! This is what I love to hear. Thank you for sharing your experience!
I watched this right before my initial phone call interview. “Thank you” for adding that extra confidence! 🎉❤🎉
Hope it went well!
I used some of these tips and got the job offer! Thank you. 😊 Asking about the work environment and how will my performance be measured got the most enthusiastic answers in my 2-hour/2-panel interview.
congrats
Congratulations!!
I just quickly watched this before an interview for a promotion, and it helped so much! When I asked the "hesitation question" my boss replied "what a great question!"
...anyway, long story short, I got the promotion! Thankyou!
YAY! Congratulations! I am so glad you used this question and even more thrilled to hear your boss's response!
Two years later and this still works! Thanks to your videos, I start my dream job working for my county tomorrow! 😊
Thanks for watching and thank you for coming back!!
I have my first ever interview later on today very nervous and excited. Manifesting that I get the job after seeing this video.
How did your interview go??
@@LifeWorkBalance didnt get the job but have another tomorrow over the phone.
@@cassandra.perez0595 So sorry to hear about that - it's always a bummer when you get a "rejection." Fingers crossed your interview over the phone went well!
Very unique video and relevant coaching. ❤
I usually don't have questions in mind after interviews, but I know it gauges how interested an applicant is to the company.
I have been an Employment Consultant for nearly 25 years and I am using this incredible advice in my interview today! Thank you!
How did your interview go?!
Agreed I was thinking nope I would not ask that sounds negative
What if they say " this is a question only you can answer
!" or something like that?😥
@@grazielegehrmannI have never heard anyone asking that. I wouldn’t worry about it.
Ya agreed.
Those hesitation questions are definitely not the ticket.
Great advice! Thank you for this!
I got the job!!! The questions work. And also sending thank you’s
Yay! Congratulations! I 100% agree, asking these questions AND sending thank yous is an excellent way to rise to the top of the candidate pool.
Worried about asking the hesitation question, feels too forward😢 but I would love to ask
Awesome!! Congrats on having what felt like the best interview you've ever had! Fingers crossed you get good news soon 🤞🤞🤞

What kind of a thank you card was it?
the kind that said thank you@@lilikoimahalo
Hi please how was the take you card made?
@@beatriceadugyamfi4406 It was likely a little "generic" and said something like, "thank you for your time/this opportunity...if there is any additional information I can provide, I would be happy to clarify...etc. etc."
This is a great preparation strategy, even if it is "generic" it still can make an impression!
Not everyone feels comfortable asking the hesitation question, and that's okay!

Thank you.
THANK YOU for your feedback!! I am so glad you were able to ask each of the 3 types of questions, and I hope you hear good news soon!
