I’ve heard that having an ATS-friendly resume is essential nowadays, especially with so many applications. It’s a good reminder to keep everything in sync.
I appreciate the tips on tailoring your response. It’s so important to make a good first impression. Anyone else feel the pressure when answering this question?
Great insights here. I’ve always struggled with ‘tell me about yourself’ but this gives me a clearer framework. Definitely going to practice my answer.
I’m so glad I saw your video! I’m preparing a video application that specifically asked me to tell them about myself and I was about to spout my personal history, ugh. You may have just saved me from automatically being rejected. Wish me luck!
Hi Ineke. This is extremely important information for my next interview with a panel of 4 members. Useful hints that I will draw upon. Thank you, very much appreciated. Please continue to provide your professional tips. Trixie Garland
I had an in-person interview today with a major corporation, and the hiring manager started off with the "Tell me about yourself" question. However, it took a turn before I could answer when he says, "Nevermind, I don't give a crap about who you are. Just tell me where you work now or in the past." I literally about lost my composer with laughter!
Lovely and Valuable. What value will I bring to this role? Have a system and a structure in place describing my professional experience that I bring to the role. For the organization
Thanks firvyhis valuable & structured approach to answering this difficult question. I've been asked this question for every new position applied for over several decades. So, a question. If this question is not answered, by the first half hour of the interview, would I be scoring points with the interviewer,, by saying something like " Let me tell you a bit about myslf" & launch right nto my prepared, structured summary & opening my own opportunity toll it potentially 'kill it' blow them away & seal the new position or at least be their new 'front runner candidate'?
Brilliant video Ineke! Incredible insight that I haven't seen on any other channel. You've explained it all so clearly in a way that I can implement easily. I'm feeling much more confident about my future interviews
I will appreciate if you can tell me about the interview questions and answers for the postion of administrative and finance officer with INGO. preferable the competency based questions with some concrete answers and examples
Excuse me teacher I want to ask some question about Why do you want to work here? Why do you want to work with us? Why do you want to work with our company? All of these questions have only one the same answer or different answer? thank you
I'm 60 years old, I was recently doing a phone interview, I have already 17 years of experience in this position, from bottom to top, at no time did the interviewer ask me about my experience, at the end she asked me what I do when I wake up in the morning. W T F.
I know they don’t want to hire somebody older if everyone else is a millennial because they think because you have so much experience, you will guide everybody else. And it undermines the program directors leadership. Okey-dokey Well, back to the job search.
Went on interview yesterday all prepped looked into the company the company didn't even know what direction they themselves we're going into so I'm like sounds like they are winging it but there was no structured question's just random questions do not think i will be going with them because they do not know where they're going to be in a month never mind 12mnths

One of the hardest questions to answer in an interview, it’s so hard to speak about yourself in a positive way. Thanks for this, super helpful
Wicked presentation. Helped me get through these questions. I'd recommend this to anyone
These strategies are solid. I think tailoring your answer to the company culture is key. Definitely going to practice this.
This video is super helpful for interview prep. I always struggle with that question, but now I feel more confident about my response.

As an introvert. That's Way Way too much talking about oneself. I don't have and never have had the desire or energy to expand that damn much.
@@benjaminwilliams3568 as an introvert, best to just stick to what experience you would bring to the role. Practice will make it easier
Hate interviews, more often than not the most suitable ends up not getting the job. The best liars are the ones who gets the job.
Very grateful ❤
The difficulty with this interview question lies in the fact that it isn't actually a question. 😅

Start watching after the 2nd minute, first 2 minutes are worthless
Rude
Good luck in your interviews with that attitude
Soooo rude of you.
Who asked you to be here?
