Rolex is Rolex. I own several. But Tudor is kicking ass. I have the B GMT and I love it. It’s unique not just a Sub with a different bezel. I just bought the Pelagos FXD MN and LOVE it. Great sailing watch. Looks 100x better in person ,too. Color is fabulous and cloth strap is perfect.
IMO does not need to be better than a sub to be great. It’s a cool watch, great value but far from the fitment and overall looks of a steel sub. I don’t see the point of all the rolex vs tudor thing
@michaelriera6277 1 hour ago I went to a Tudor event and there were plenty of people wearing Rolex who purchased Tudors. I think todays Tudor offers something sufficiently different to Rolex that it no longer needs to be a Rolex vs Tudor . They can very easily complement each other.
I went for the black dial Pelagos : It is way more beautiful then this cheap blue colour imo. But it is the best diver in same category as the MM 300 and the Seadweller 4K !
Best diver ever but sold mine because I could never get a perfect fit even with the fantastic clasp. I’ve just got one of those wrists that shrinks and swells all day. The BBGMT is the same, fantastic watch but never a perfect fit
The indices on these are not solid blocks like on some of the more recently released models. But... nobody is left wanting in terms of lume on this watch either way.
If you are using it as a dive watch, then yes it is a better watch, better lume, better depth rating by 200m. The Rolex is more expensive but not better.
I would have to say as an actual tool watch that the Pelagos is better than a Sub. It has better specs… the things it doesn’t have over the Sub is brand cache and ‘investment’ value… but then, you don’t buy an actual tool watch for those reasons. The Sub has become more of a status symbol and lost its tool watch charm
I tried one on the other day. Feels like a toy- so light... Too light. The plastic looking oversized chapter ring looked cheap too. No pip on the bezel and The ceramic bezel looked cheap if that's even possible. Micro adjustment was the only thing I liked. I passed on it. For £4,200 that's over half the price of the rose gold JLC Master Control Calendar I bought last month. The value just isn't there compared to the BB58. For the record, on paper this is not even in the same league as a Rolex Submariner. I don't know why you said that it was better.
Captivating blue dial. Mind-blowing lume. This timepiece is a winner in my book.
That is 10x better than a Sub, also way nicer looking. The only thing the Pelogos doesn’t have is the name Rolex on it. I love Tudor. Beautiful piece.
Sister of Rolex
And the sizing.....
The SMP 300 is similar size to Pelegos and arguably better than a Sub too.
It's no where a good as a Sub XD It's not even as nice as a BB
People mistake price and specs as the same thing. Rolex is more expensive but you are right this is a better watch for intended purpose.
Yeah, at least I think so! Such a wonderful offering and a grand slam by Tudor!
Good job, Chris. Excellent presentation of this Tudor!!
Greetings from Greece. It is pélagos 😊
can you say that out loud, so I know how to pronounce it haha
@@Mr_KnifeGuy I did, I put a little thing above E.

This Tudor my first Tudor of four I own. It’s my Smurf because I can’t afford the white gold submariner lol.
i do like TUDOR over rolex any day
I like the blue but all the features of the CW Lumiere make it a better choice for me. I don't like 14mm vs 11mm on the thickness specifically.

👍👍👍 Elegant , Simplicity and Nice Watch 👍👍👍
Tudor changed the game down sized and a good power reserve and the bracelet micro adjustments. There for everyone copying then!!! Funny Tudor 👍👍up!!!
Now that Rolex is using titanium , would they make a titanium Sub 41 or would that clash with the Pelagos?
Definitely Pelagos with the tone on the e!
Oh got the price as I was continuing to watch
It's better than an Omega Better bezel, another great video by you again
Love my Pelagos. it is dead accurate rivals a quartz.
sports watch with entry level luxury price tag. Not my cup of tea but tudor definitely got the watch specs down at least.

Sorry to hear. I was the same until I purchased 2 half links and swapped the clasp the other direction. 100% perfect now.
It's slightly on the fat side -> they should have a blue pelagos 39mm
Thanks for the comment!
Love my Pelagos 39mm Black dial. Will buy the Blue 39mm Pelagos when available.
Gorgeous. How much?
Eine frage. Was beste Tudor oder Omega semaster?
I have both and love them both. Although both dive watches, but that’s where it ends in similarities, very different watches.
OMEGA in another league (more higher)
The indices on these are not solid blocks like on some of the more recently released models. But... nobody is left wanting in terms of lume on this watch either way.
Nice watch
I had it in black and still own the blue version.. it's a great watch but is not better than Rolex.

Reassuring to know that Chris' left nipple is definitely not radioactive.
It’s important
Good
Anyone experience any of the lume falling off

If you want to pronounce it correctly in Greek the g has a “Y” sound. Try pronouncing it with this spelling. Pelayos . Bravo
Its pronounced pelagos
Correction, it’s PELAGOS.
It looks exactly like san martin sn0121G
Or the San Martin stole the Tudor design???
Too many words in the dial.

I played with same watch at a Tudor event. Share your sentiment, Ill keep my BB58 black.
I agree, the sub is crap as well, I'll stick to my SD 43.
It's pElagos. Cheers
