I just picked up my blue dial Pelagos this afternoon and I love it! The color, the comfort and the fit on my 7.5" wrist, it's all very good. I have a black BB58, which I also love. Tudor rocks!
I adore the blue dial. Wear it in good health. How are you two getting along? I almost pulled the trigger today on another pelly .. yes i am crazy .. I would love for Tudor to make them in SS, though I think that may pinch a few sub sales which is probably why they dont do it. I would also like to see the new T-Fit clasp on the 39mm on the 42mm. The current bracelet extension system I dont really love, I prefer the Rolex glide lock. Still, banging watch all the same. For the cash its tough to beat.
About a year ago, I was deciding between the omega SMP 300 and this. Ultimately went with the Pelagos, the clasp sold it for me. Amazingly engineered and highly functional.
That’s my daily watch, perfect on NATO strap, comfortable, legible, light on the wrist, extremely accurate, reliable and built like a tank. The titanium scratches easily but it doesn’t impact its function or durability. I just don’t mind a few scratches anymore. And the deep blue on the dial and bezel… just beautiful to look at…
hello! just acquired one. where did you find the NATO strap for it. AD's dont have it, and Tudor's website doesn't offer it. any place you'd recommend. Bracelet is great, but I don't wanna risk scratching it as this will be my everyday watch. Thx.
I've had this watch for 4 years - it's the most enjoyable to look at. The clean, easy to read, cheery dial. It's great on a strap or bracelet. I think they nailed the design. I just feel good when I wear it. Slightly oversized - just fits this watch. Go big or go home. This is from someone with a 6.5 inch relatively flat wrist.

The Pelagos blue is my daily wear and my “beater”. Phenomenal timepiece with accurate & robust movement. I have this tool watch on a Rubber B tropical strap and it’s a pleasure to wear. Wears slightly smaller… My Sea Dwellers (16600 & 116600) wear similar due to the weight. I’m not a fan of the cyclops & this Tudor is outstanding
For an every day watch that can handle almost anything I cannot recommend this watch enough. My Pelagos is the left had drive version and so has a slight yellow tinge to the plots and hands but still looks and definitely feels modern. If I'm going anywhere where I do not know what the day will throw at me it is one of my go to watches, it also feels like those comfortable pair of shoes. Super readable and comfortable. I did try the new FXD earlier this week and have to say that I was very tempted, I was wearing my Pelegos on that visit to the AD but felt a big difference in comfort in favour of my watch. I'm still very tempted by the MN FXD at some point.
Fingers crossed for a 40mm Pelagos 😁 the Pelagos is an absolute gem, I think I can safely say it's my favorite watch of all my Tudors and even all my watches! It's just such a unique experience even after 4.5 years. The matte finish, ultra legibility, titanium feel, and the clasp come together to make such a unique experience. In the end to get the Pelagos experience you just need a Pelagos, it's that good!
I have to agree completely with you. I cannot find anything that I dislike about mine. Yes maybe one or two things could be improved but this is the case on any item. Super comfortable as well.
Agreed 👍 the Pelagos either version has it's own identity and it's not trying to look like something else. Unlike the the Black bay and I really don't like the faux riveted bracelet 😕 just a tacky unessarsary decoration that needs to be retired. Even if you don't notice them. Just knowing they are there and faux annoys me. If Tudor really wants the vintage experience just make a real riveted bracelet.
Whaaaaaat……. You mean you actually wear a divers watch diving? I thought I was mad wearing my watches helming boats, but diving, in the water… you’re very brave sir 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Just in case you hadn’t realised, this is just British pub humour (aka general pi*s taking) no harm meant.
I have the black Pelagos and absolutely love it - there's no diver I'd rather have. Also, the included rubber strap that integrates with the endlinks makes for possibly an even better look than the bracelet, though less functional.
What's the rush? It's only been out 10 years. :) For the record, the BEZEL is 42mm. The case is 41mm. Go with the 2-liner if you want a thinner case. I also would call the rubber strap "free". At ~$5K, it's simply "included".

I have a black Pelagos, bought this year as an alternative to my ceramic date Sub. Prefer it to the Sub for everyday. Lume is excellent, the height worried me b4 getting one but it really doesn't bother me now. Best value watch for my criteria & I took 3 months researching b4 buying.

I’ve been wearing my blue Tudor Pelagos every day for the past two years and I’m extremely impressed by its scratch resistance. The titanium still looks as if I’ve never worn the watch. I’ve yet to change out the titanium bracelet for the synthetic one. And I might add that I’m still only losing approximately 1 1/2 seconds per day. Much better than my Date Just, which has been relegated to spending time on a watch winder.

Thanks for making this video Jenni I was so happy to see it! I have had a Pelagos Blue since they were released and I do love it dearly. Not only is it truly unique in the watchmaking world (literally no other watch exists in this world that has the same combination of looks and features), but it is truly a beautiful tank of watch that feels indestructible and light and you barely notice it on your wrist due to the ingenious spring-loaded bracelet (why don't other watches have this?). When I look at it, it reminds me of both deep blue oceans and snow-capped peaks against an azure sky. PS: 7 inch wrist here and it looks great!
I have been into watches for about a year now. I don’t own anything “luxury”. My Hamilton khaki and my Laco Aachen are the most expensive watches I own. But, I have seen a few of these Pelagos’ with my own 2 eyes, and have to say… in my opinion it is the most striking and beautiful watch I have ever seen. The matte blue Tudor uses in contrast with the stark white hands and dial markings in contrast with that brushed titanium… it’s amazing. This watch is for sure a grail piece for me, if and when I ever get to that value of collecting.

I sold my BB41 for a Pelagos and I love it. More modern. I like it the Titanium look, feel and weight. The clasp is insane. I play with it during the day as my wrist expands and contracts. I have the blue version

I wanted one for a while because of a severe nickel allergy unfortunately the case back is steel which ruled it out for me. I went with a 45.5 titanium planet ocean and couldn’t be happier.
Ha, I misread tudor website about the case being titanium and SS. What I am most interest about is that clasp, when it's on the spring setting does it really auto adjust to a swelling wrist to be comfortable all day? Personally for me my next buy is going to hinge on the on-the-fly adjustability of the casp.
Excellent review Jenni! For my 160mm wrist I found the Pelagos just a bit much and I went with a blue BB58 that suits me really well, just a Goldilocks watch for me. That said, the no-nonsense character of the Pelagos is very appealing and for those who can rock it, it's a cracking good piece. Some here with a bit bigger wrist who have one and love it : great choice and enjoy! There's really nothing else like it, or to touch it for the price.
Been started on collecting watch couples years ago, during this earlier journey, its more on experiencing different kind of watches, from diver to dress, from vintage to modern sizing, from heritage inspired to the total new design watches. Some watch come and go, some I like it but just doesn't always wear it, but Pelagos is kind of a different thing- is the watch that even I'm a small wrist er just having much enjoyment with, and always want to pick it up more than all the others watches, despite the big size, busy 5 liner that people taking negative about, it just have so much charm from it. it is the watch that I love and always wanted to wear on the wrist with smile

The Pelagos 42 is hands down the best functioning and looking dive watch on the market. It can be dressed up or dressed down perfectly. It is the Toyota Land Cruiser of watches.
Not a fan of the normal varients but the LHD version with the different loom colour and the red text is a really good looking watch. I'm trying very hard to get one new but not easy
I love my Tudor Pelagos M25600TB-0001- simple as that. It sits beautifully in amongst my Breitling and Rolex collection holding itself strongly with its robust build and appearance. A fabulous timepiece.

So surprised that its taken this long to feature the Pelagos. i have one and i love it the spring loaded mechanism makes it so comfortable on wrist. the blue colour is simply stunning but you can have it in black. it is thick but then again thats the draw for people that want an out and out tool watch. what do i not like? 1/ the five lines on text on the dial. do i really need to know thats it a self wind rotor? 2/ the divers extension sticks out from the clasp. dont know if its my sizing or if others are expereincing the same. anyway the watch really does give the Sub a run for its money as i think you get more with the pelagos. great review.

Hi, how is it in terms of durability? I found that mine got a little bit loose on the clasp with the ceramic balls, but perhaps it’s just my imagination. Thanks!
@@Rodolfoguerra12 I've had a screw fall out of my bracelet early on (first year), I think the AD didn't tighten it enough. And recently the luminous paint disappeared from the number 3 on the bezel. Besides that it's still going strong :)
I am a leftie, so I went with a Pelagos LHD as a casual weekend watch. My wrist is 170mm, so I feel it fits quite nicely. Watch is sturdy and well-built, although does not feel as luxurious as my other pieces (I also own a Breguet Type XXI, Rolex Datejust 41 and Ulysse Nardin Dual Time). However, unless you’re a fan of Omega Seamaster 300 (which I am respectfully not), there is quite limited competition at the price point. I considered the omega planet ocean as a possible alternative, but the looks I liked were about twice more expensive than Tudor
Thanks for the very informative video ! My 50th birthday is approaching I am planning to treat myself with a nice diver but basically torn apart between Tudor Pelagos vs Sinn U1B or Oris Aquis Caliber 400 ....My wrist is 20cm - 8 inches .... Pelagos seems to be overall winner but expensive and offers only 5 years warranty , Oris has an issue with Caliber 400 - minute hand jumping but offers 10 years warranty, Sinn is also very appealing but offers a standard SW200 movement...Any suggestions?
Love my Bluesy Pelly wear it 12 hours a day. I have a 190 mm wrist. Fits perfectly, love the titanium bracelet. Sits low and is light to wear, can’t stop looking at it.

Pelagos si now the toolwatch Rolex used to be. When I got my Submariner back 1976 it was a 500 dólar watch. A real tool for surfing. It was usted and abused. Nowadays I cannot Even wear it as a dayly user. Now my Islanders and Phoibos took the place. Main advantage of Pelagos si that You will not be killed for it!!🤔
I have an OG black 2-liner and it’s one of my favorite watches. I love it just as much as my Hulk or Explorer II. It’s a very “honest” watch. It’s not blingy in any way. It’s super light weight and insanely comfortable. It does it’s job incredibly well (INSANE lume, much better bezel than BB… overhang makes it very easy to turn). You can buff out scratches just as easily as on a SS watch (use a brilo bad with fine grain). Can’t recommend this watch enough. I don’t mind that it’s 42mm, but I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t be interested in a 40mm version. But if I had to choose between a BB58 or Pelagos, I’d go Pelagos hands down (if it isn’t my only watch). If I could only have one, I guess the BB58 would be the smarter buy because it’s slightly more versatile (the Pelagos is unapologetically a tool watch). Don’t buy this if you want props from anyone. It’s a Tudor so only watch nerds will know what it is and the BB gets more love. But if YOU like how it looks, I say go for it. You won’t be disappointed.

If you like the look of the Tudor Pelagos, but the price tag is not in your budget, check out the Bulova Marine Star 98B203. Although the Bulova is a quartz watch, the "look" of it is very much Pelagos.
Wearing my blue one right now. I think the only thing I would replace it with would be a Blancpain (5015 12B40 O52A), which ain't happening any time soon, and if I did I'd go a lot easier on that than I do my Pelgaos!

My recent purchase is the Pelagos FXD, at first I was worrying about if I’m gonna regret buying it. But the titanium matte finishing case, blue coarse pattern matte dial with the very clean crisp white index, matching the very sexy matte finish ceramic bezel, all edges are sharp from crazy machinery finishing but not cutting your finger sharp, and the heavily military base backing it up….I don’t even wear my 214270 anymore 😂

Hi Jenny, are you able to give an opinion/review a Roger Dubuis ? I have been looking for reviews/comments from knowledgeable people, but noone seems to be reviewing them , any reason why?
I've owned a blue Pelagos for a year and am really happy with it. Sized for my 185 mm wrist (7-1/4 inches), the watch weighs 142 grams. This is about 30 grams less than my Black Bay GMT on bracelet or my Seamaster Diver 300M. My one complaint is that the Pelagos bracelet is a hair-puller, so if you are hirsute in nature, this watch can be irritating to wear. I usually wear mine on the OEM rubber strap (105 grams) or an Erika's MN strap (99 grams) for a comfortable fit. The tone of the blue is just a joy to behold and it's a fun summer color to wear. And like Jenni, my Apple Watch is on my right wrist, with my traditional watch on the left.

It's a great watch. It gets fine scratches more easily than a steel model but it's a tool watch. It's supposed to get some patina of wear. It's fun to wear & the bracelet and clasp feel well designed and comfortable. This and the North Flag are my 2 favourite Tudor's. It wears nicely on smaller wrists. My gf wears mine on a strap sometimes.
My favorite daily watch om NATO strap, used it for 3 years given its rugged built, however now in its 4th year the -2 sec a day, turned to 12 seconds, and of the 70 hours power reserve is only 12 hrs left. Checked at the AD, they will fix it for €500! So it back to Casio.
Try it on your wrist. You will know if you like it or not immediately. My small wrist can handle the 43mm Navitimer and the chunky 40mm Sea Dweller. Pelagos is basically a combination of the two which felt massive despite the light weight.
For me the great attraction of the Pelagos, combining with the matte case is the satin dial and indices that without having polished edges, do not overcast surrounding brightness. Thanks for the video and a lot of details. PS: and the Clasp, maybe a definitive solution for bracelet fit karma.
You forgot to mention the Helium escape valve 😉. No big deal for many maybe but reinforces the fact that this is a proper tool watch. I also like the Matt finish all round. Might make more sense deep in the ocean compared with all glittery competitors out there in my opinion.
I wish they did a no date version other than the FXD. The Pelagos would make an amazing alternative to the Sea Dweller and a great summer watch in blue. I just don’t care for date displays on dive watches, or anything other than GMTs, really.

Its a stunning watch. Getting up close and personal with one the quality stands out even more than the Black Bay. I've had mine a while and with full links it weighs pretty much the same as everything else I own. And so far besides not babying it, I've yet to mark it.
Nice to see this review Jenni! The Pelagos LHD is the favorite in my collection. A functional tool watch brute in a tuxedo. Love the dial. The chunky boy aspect is part of its charm. I’d say on smaller wrists it would work better on the included rubber strap? Also- although superficial scratches might “show” a bit more, the titanium is nigh indestructible. The movement on mine hovers between -2/+2 sec/day. This watch isn’t going to many formal occasions, but as an everyday and adventure companion it’s on point.
You say it is incredibly well finished and yet the hour markers are not well aligned (see 5:24). Always had this issue with the watch, being the reason i never bought it.
I've had my Blue Pelagos for almost three years now. It was the most heavily considered decision I've made since college and the military 😂. The longer you own it, the more you discover about it (I hope you know what I mean). It fits my lifestyle perfectly, and is such a gorgeous piece.

I prefer the black version, and as is topical at the moment with the Rolex left hand drive , the LHD version of this has some small bits of additional colours in detailing
Great review again Jenni Elle! The Pelagos should get more love than it does. For me, I’d be hard pressed to buy it ahead of the BB Pepsi GMT so maybe Tudor should just drop the GMT movement into the Pelagos and “voila!”

An informative review for sure, but I wouldn’t go so far as saying it was in depth. I would have added a few more features such as the fantastic lume (as also mentioned in comments), the Helium Escape Valve (for decompressing after a longer than usual bath), and the fact that it’s also available in a Left Hand version (with roulette date and black face). I bought my LHD new for £2,750 from my AD and it ticks all the boxes for me. Yes, it scratches up a little, but it’s a tool watch, not a dress watch. Finally, I’ve no idea if I was just lucky, but mine seems to keeps amazingly accurate time.

I like that Tudor added the name of the watch on the dial like Rolex does. I believe it’s the only Tudor watch that has this. They should do it to the BB. BTW…love the Star Wars jacket! MTFBWY!

Paid $4100 out the door, new, for mine from an AD. I didn’t realize it had increased. I don’t wear it often but won’t get rid of it. I keep all my watches.
The Pelagos definitely wears SMALLER than a Heritage Black Bay. I currently own the Pelagos and have owned the standard Black Bay in the past. I sold the BB specifically because it wore much too large and chunky for my liking, particularly in terms of case thickness. Somehow the Pelagos doesn't have that problem.
The Pelagos is a watch I really want to like. I love that it's a purposeful watch, not a 'homage' to something else. I love that it's Titanium and I admire its no-nonsense design, but... I can't love it, everything being matt just makes it look, well, dull, to me. I know others will love that about it, but sadly it's a killer for me. Just a little gloss, anywhere, may make the difference between a watch I admire and one I want.

By far my favorite diver watch. Got one used for $2,200 because it had small scratches on the bracelet and clasp. I used one of those green brilo pads for cleaning dishes to smooth it out perfectly and keep the brushed look. Scratches gone. This watch has been in deserts, the ocean, river diving, camping, hikes and mountain climbing. Been banged around constantly and still looks and functions great. It's extremely durable and robust. Wears well on a NATO strap. This is one of those luxury watches you don't feel the need to baby.
Great review Jenni. I too notice you neglected to point out the INSANE loom (on the watch face AND on the bezel) - by far the best on any watch I own. I have a 7" wrist and it is a beautiful fit as well as being unbelievably light too. ⌚⌚⌚👍
I'm a fan of Tudor, have been for many years. A couple years after we were married my Wife surprised me with a Heritage Ranger, that I love. I think this Pelagos is a fine watch, but if weight isn't an issue (for us big fellas it usually isn't) why not try a Zodiac? I have a Zodiac Super Sea Wolf 68 Saturation that is an amazing dive watch ( I have actually worn it along with my dive computer) it is rated to 1000M and there are different versions, I believe one was even COSC certified. The bonus,...the watch was $1500.00 all in after a small bit of haggling. Very well constructed and punches way above it's weight. These are overlooked gems, imho.
As an average paying person who got into Luxury watches and probably on my way out, my view on prices on watches are completely skewed. Luxury mechanical watches which are by far the most popular amoung luxury watches are terrible bang for buck. They are way less accurate, less tough, stops in a few days and need to be time reseted, and they recommend to be serviced 2-5 years which cost $500+ each time. Some watches needs to go to the manufacturer so it will be gone for a few months. Adding complications on the watch is insane in price. Add an alarm or a perpetual calendar will add thousands on the price tag and hundreds on the servicing fees which a $15 will have all the complications and way more accurate. The gimmick of mechanical watch was cool in the beginning, but I just realized how insanely ridiculous buying a way inferior watch for 60x the price is. I still like watches and I'm going to buy the G Shocks, Protreks for their toughness and they are the best tool watches objectively. I might still buy a Longines VHP quartz or Grand Seiko F9 quartz movement where there actually impressive tech in them and great finishing. They are +/- 5 to 10 seconds a year. All I need to do is replace the batteries. I'm looking into the high end The Citizen which is solar too. With The Citizen, I just buy the watch with great finishing and that is it. A Royal Oak is $50,000 to $100,000 which is still stupidly inaccurate at +/- 5 to 10 second a day. A mechanical Invicta diver is that accurate which cost $60 on a good sale day. Pretentious is the word. Also if these watches make you happy more power to you. I bought a $5,000 watch and check how much it is losing time and realized how ridiculous bad the accuracy was and how insane my purchase was.
@@Mrbumbons1 The Citizen is like Grand Seiko for Citizen. The Citizen is only in Japan for now. They have great finishing with convenience of solar quartz. It is the best of both worlds. I like the F9 movement but battery changes every three years. I mean is way cheaper and less time consuming than mechanical, but solar is like 20+ years without service. That is true luxury with high end polishing. It still makes great jewelry too. I'm still into watches, but I'm done with high end mechanical. I can forgive low end since it acceptable for the price to be inaccurate, but in the multi thousands watch losing 5 seconds while a $10 quartz is 25x better is ridiculous.
I don't like the Tudor black bays mostly because of the bracelet but the bb36/41 and the pelagos are right up my alley. It's just that I think the omega smp300 is a better buy at 5000 dollars or so than the pelly.
Pelagos is a beast of a tool watch, also designwise Tudor is a bit more daring and i'd prefer that any day. To top things off you can actually buy that thing!

The best version by far IMO.
+1 , Really love my LHD, very comfortable !
Your reviews and commentary actually helped me decide to take the Pelagos plunge last year. Thank you!
The pelagos case is actually 40mm!
Could you subtly show off anymore
I have the Pelagos and a Sub No date. When I go on a dive vacation the Pelagos goes with me always without hesitation. Very legible at depth.
Whaaaaaat…….
You mean you actually wear a divers watch diving? I thought I was mad wearing my watches helming boats, but diving, in the water… you’re very brave sir 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Just in case you hadn’t realised, this is just British pub humour (aka general pi*s taking) no harm meant.
I have the black Pelagos and absolutely love it - there's no diver I'd rather have. Also, the included rubber strap that integrates with the endlinks makes for possibly an even better look than the bracelet, though less functional.
What's the rush? It's only been out 10 years. :)
For the record, the BEZEL is 42mm. The case is 41mm. Go with the 2-liner if you want a thinner case. I also would call the rubber strap "free". At ~$5K, it's simply "included".

You have two great watches with the Laco and Hamilton.
Hey Jenni, your wish is granted. Tudor just launched the Pelagos in 39mm case. Can’t wait for your review of what u think about it.!

Jenni, what about a few words about the Pelagos 39?
I wanted one for a while because of a severe nickel allergy unfortunately the case back is steel which ruled it out for me. I went with a 45.5 titanium planet ocean and couldn’t be happier.
I have a pretty small wrist and this fits and looks so cool! I wear mine all summer and as my vacation and it is so fun and funky. LOVE!
Is one of the few professional diver which has also a full lumen bezel. I have the blue one and is an amazing timepiece
The Ploprof also has a lumed ceramic bezel.
Pelagos fxd is a watch I’ve been eyeing for a long time. I just don’t know if it’s suitable for people with smaller wrists.
Great video Jenni... love this watch. I would only have added the lume factor, few watches uses lume on the bezel

Main advantage of Pelagos si that You will not be killed for it!!🤔

the lhd versions is imo the best .stunning

Excellent watch, Tudor please make it 40mm! Nice review (as always!)
@Text me on telegram👉@JenniElle001 Hi Jenni, thanks!
You forgot to mention the Helium escape valve 😉. No big deal for many maybe but reinforces the fact that this is a proper tool watch. I also like the Matt finish all round. Might make more sense deep in the ocean compared with all glittery competitors out there in my opinion.
The clasp and quick adjustment is what I love most about my pelagos. Very comfortable even though it's a chunky boy
Jenni great review, the question for me is Black or Blue?
I wish they did a no date version other than the FXD. The Pelagos would make an amazing alternative to the Sea Dweller and a great summer watch in blue. I just don’t care for date displays on dive watches, or anything other than GMTs, really.

Its a stunning watch. Getting up close and personal with one the quality stands out even more than the Black Bay. I've had mine a while and with full links it weighs pretty much the same as everything else I own. And so far besides not babying it, I've yet to mark it.
With the shouldered and protected crown it is IMO the finest Tudor watch!
I own the LHD. About the „cluttered“ text from the lines - if you zoom out - it looks like a snowflake ;)

Thank you for your thoughts. I love my citizen solar. I really do want an automatic but you hit it. Accuracy.
Where did you get that black bay picture on the wall?
Finally!!!
You should compare it to the Fortis F43 GMT (also titanium)
Pelagos is a beast of a tool watch, also designwise Tudor is a bit more daring and i'd prefer that any day. To top things off you can actually buy that thing!
