What an amazing watch!! My grail to be 100% honest, it will take a lot of saving for myself I became fully obsessed with studying/collecting watches about a year ago after always having at least a daily wear of some sort my whole life, I have a box full of automatic Seiko divers which I absolutely love and will never part with..so saving it is..but the Pelagos is just a different breed thee ultimate tool watch, from the amazing finish/look of the titanium, to the thick/chunky hands, and the beautiful/simple/genius/large amount of contrast you get with the blue or black model, not to mention the mind blowing Lume!🤯thanks for sharing/making this vid to further my obsession and drive to attain this timepiece! Also I’ve heard nothing but good things about the provided rubber strap I think it’s genius that it uses the same end links as the bracelet! P.s. thoroughly impressed with how it held up!
Great review. I had mine for almost 5 years now and absolutely love it. It's probably the best tool watch out there. Plus that shade of blue is to die for!
Thank you a nice Pelagos review, i own the Pelagos Black dial, they are of beautiful quality and accurate time keeper, it compliments my BB58, and BB58 925 both lovely watches also 👍
Just came across your video, Mike. I'm now going to try one on at the local AD. I've been holding out for the next addition to my collecton and believe this may just be the one. Thanks mate.
Great review. Thanks so much it realy helps me to decide which watch to buy. Considering the BB, Breitling Super Ocean/Avenger, Longines Hydroconquest and the like i think i should go for the Pelagos 42. It makes me smile indeed.😆
This is a really good video. Well-presented and interesting. I suppose I'm biased as I have one and it's everything you say it is. So true about making little dings/scratches your very own, and part of your journey together, I would NEVER have mine polished.
I own the Blue 42mm Pelagos it’s definitely one of the best dive watches available at any price, it’s definitely the best dive watch under $5k usd, Thanks for the review !
excellent review! I love my Tudor Pelagos LHD! The crown not digging into the hand makes the watch the perfect comfort watch. I sleep with the watch daily.
I have this blue pelagos for a couple years and it’s a phenomenal tool watch. It sees more wrist time than my Rolex tool timepieces (Explorer, submariner-Cermit, Batman, yacht master) and does not scratch easily. I prefer the rubber strap as I purchased the black rubber to wear with my blue pelagos for a nice look. Although it’s not as scratch resistant as my Sinn ezm 9, the Tudor is a great timepiece both mechanically and esthetically.
Great review, picked up my Pelagos in New Zealand only 3 weeks ago, with the blue dial . Lovely watch and so much quality for the money, especially compared to the Rolex. Thanks.
Congratulations on your Pelagos! I’m busy doing more videos of it diving the Great Barrier Reef last week. Subscribe to the channel if you want to see more adventures with the Pelagos and other watches...
One thing that drives me insane in this watch community is noobs and other consumers complain about getting scratches on a dive tool watch regardless of the metal used. It's not a dress watch. It's a dive watch. It's on your wrist. Scratches are inventible. I understand preserving dress watches and keeping them mint for special occasions. From my perspective, tool watches, such as dive watches, look great with wear and tear. I love to see scratches, dents, and dings on my divers. And none of them will be refinished. Kudos to you for not babying this Pelagos, for wearing it like Tudor intended.
This was very well produced with sharp images and well executed dialogue, thanks for great content, I am consolidating to a 1 watch collection and after the dust settles I will have ADs looking for an LHD.
Really enjoyed this. In picking up the Ranger, I tried the Pelagos. I'm pretty slim but was really amazed how well it wears despite those dimensions. It really feels right and appropriate for what it is. I'm waiting on an LHD. Cheers
Thanks Peter, I'm shooting Part 2 now. It covers how I decided on the Pelagos compared to other similar watches, the how I decided on the blue and what that blue color is like compared to other blue watches. If you have any questions you want answered send them to me and I'll see if I can include them in the final cut.
@@menandtheirwatches5026 I am considering the black model so interested to hear if you considered it and why you went for the blue. I also like the blue but the black has better contrast with the hour markers in my opinion. Not sure about the essay on the dial. Does it bother you? You mentioned that the clasp is stainless steel. Are you sure of this as I think the outside is titanium to match the bracelet and it is the inner mechanism that is steel along with the case back. I would have thought you would see a colour difference if it were steel.
@@peterfoskett Hi Peter I see you are keen on the Pelagos. I’m editing part 2 now and I do talk about the black and blue options, along with why I chose the pelagos over other watches. Suggest you try see both colours in person if you can.
It’s a fantastic watch I’m looking to buy a diver this year and I’ve decided on the Tudor 👌 and having Trouble deciding between the Pelagos blue or the black baby blue uggg🧐. HELP
Someone had mentioned that they put black rubber strap on the Blue Pelagos, nice contrast, How about swaping the bezel, put the black on the Blue Pelagos and the blue bezel on the black Pelagos for some great contrast
Really useful video as looking to purchase Pelegos (blue) or Heritage Monte Carlo (blue) but was put off by titainum lightness and reports of easy scratching material but yours seems to have come through well - Do you have any experiencewith the Heritage MC?
Hey @@menandtheirwatches5026 great review, really enjoyed it. Have posted the video you are referring to about choosing a colour yet? Greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰
Had mine in black for 3 days! Still getting used to the feel of a bracelet. I've worn a Garmin for years and with the Pelly being my first luxury watch it's a totally different experience all together.
I have same wrist size, sometimes expands depending on the time of the day and I am considering either LHD or 39, but now that I see how good it wears on a wrist similar to mine, it might be LHD after all.
Hi Mike 2 years on and I still do t see the video mate? .. do you still have the pelly? And what are your thoughts on The new pelagos, pelagai that exist now?.. I tried the fxd today and it was lovely .
I’m so torn about this piece. I’m considering it as my next daily wearer, but it gives me two distinct and contradictory impressions, in videos. Sometimes it looks silky and luxurious, with a blue that dusts the Rolex smurf. Other times it seems toy-like, plasticky and the blue lacks subtlety. Does anyone else share in this paradox?
Can't speak for the blue version, eventhough i don't see it that way.. i think the blue looks fantastic. I purchased the LHD PELAGOS this week and just in love with the piece ..i did manage to get 2 small scratches on the side of the case!!!!
Got it in black and living it, good review with regards from the UK 🇬🇧

Great video. Your discussion of the titanium and wear over time was very helpful and allayed my concerns over scratch resistance.
I will say it again a brilliant review, a good explanation of the positives of owning the Pel.

Good demonstration of how the watch does/doesn't scratch - and what people often forget is that the caseback and clasp are actually stainless steel!
Picked one up yesterday - black version. Wonderful watch, certainly a bargain at the moment. Thanks for the vid!
