An excellent, balanced review of a wonderful watch. I opted for the LHD (even though I am right handed), due to the more interesting look of the roulette wheel date, cream indices and splash of red on the dial. I find the size perfect on my 7" wrist. Yes, it's substantial. But after all, this is a serious tool watch (albeit, a stunningly beautiful one) in which maximum legibility is a key consideration. In my view, the Pelagos is *THE* best dive watch in anything even close to that price point.

Well said Steve. The egg-shell / clotted cream coloured lume & roulette date just works - especially with the red text. And I like the idea of it being LHD too, even though like you I don't need it to be. TBH, I don't know why anyone would even consider a Sub *if* they have the wrist for a Pelagos. This is (arguably) the only watch left in the Tudor / Rolex line-up that completely satisfies Herr Wilsdorf's 'brief'. I'd love to see a blue LHD in 2021! That's a watch I could get behind!

Yet *ANOTHER* great review and upload Andrei...can't say I'm surprised! Congrats again on the production values and general quality. It puts many of the larger YT channels to shame. I hope that this - and your focus on very well chosen and often under appreciated watches brings you a much bigger audience in '21. I *LOVE* the Pelagos in general - to the point where I honestly can't understand why anyone (with the wrist to carry it off of course...) would even *CONSIDER* buying a Sub? And the LHD? It just has a little something special about it... I'm a bit of a sucker for watches with a quirk and, unfortunately, the $3-$4K mark is in grail watch territory for me. But this watch is up there with the Speedy MkII racing, the Speedy Pro and a GS Spring Drive as far as 'attainable' grail watches for me. And I'm really hoping that they give the blue Pelagos the LHD treatment! ...it feels long gone now, but on new years I wore my cream and gilt dialled Alpinist on a jubilee bracelet. Wearing my Pelagos LHD right meow as I watch this video, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. Fantastic looking watch, great in house movement, and being left hand drive it is quite unique, thus a great addition to my collection.

Another benefit is that having the crown facing the opposite direction prevents having it jab you in the hand. I *almost* pulled the rip-cord on a grey Engineer III Marvelight this year, but split the $ up into an Alpinist (SPD123J1) and a Certina DS PH200 M (2018 release). I might pick one up in '21? Its very interesting, I would never ever have guessed that this watch, which looks massive, its only 11.5mm thick, like the slender and elegant Omega 300 SMP 41mm. It looks more like a Deep Sea.
That's because it isn't 11.5mm. It's more to the tune of 14mm. If you are looking for slim and 500m water resistance, you need to go Sinn U50 (< 12mm height). :-)

What do you mean the Submariner has a darker steel than (couldn’t make out what you were saying)? I own one it has the same colored steel as my Explorer mark II. Btw, I own the Tudor Pelagos and while I baby it like my other watches, something about Titanium matte appearance ages well and looks nicer with a little bit of wear (reminds me of Mad Max-like watch, if you know the pop reference).
Regarding my choice of watch for new years eve,, Due to the latest rules, here in England, we're not allowed outside our own homes now, (to socialise) so, in the evening of the 31st, my favourite watches will be "resting" in my bedside cabinet, and my wrist will be "naked",,, Regarding the beautiful Pelagos,,, I wish this was "resting" in my bedside cabinet also,, lol,, All the very best for the new year to you, and your family,,
