Great review! You are spot on, I’ve owned the LHD for a year and it’s my overall favorite. I also have a FXD that the Pelagos is an amazing line. Great family heirloom and tool watch! Great analysis, visit Oregon
I am right handed and own this watch for almost a year now. The weird look with the left handed crown is quickly normal due to daily routine. What triggered me to go for the LHD was indeed the vintage colour and the two coloured date. The others were too bright for me. So this watch is a good understatement watch only enthusiasts recognize and therefore the ideal daily driver.
So the Rolex SD43 was released in 2017. Also this is known as the Pelagos LHD (left hand driver). And yes, it is so much more unique than the others. I do like the Pelagos Blue but man that LHD is sick! Has a cream colored hour markers and the dial is different than the others also. All in all, a stunning tool watch is the purest sense. Especially with the clasp, it is just completely UNRIVALED in the industry.
@@praetor47reason for the watch feels large is lug to lug length and height. Not diameter of case. So it will not help anyone to make it 40mm if it still is 50mm long and 15mm thick - as it really is more or less 40mm already now. What would be better is to make it 48mm lug to lug and thinner like the new FXD. Then it would really be great for most wrist sizes - Including mine and probably yours.
@@praetor47 Have you tried on a Seiko SKX007 or 009? Most people do not find this watch to large. Dimension of this one is 42,5mm diameter, 46mm lug to lug and 13,25 thick. So the point is that most people can handle 39/40mm and even ut to 42mm diameter as long as the lug to lug distance is not to long.
@@hansakselos4636 yes, i have tried the SKX007 and i do own an 6309. yes, they are too big. the principal component of that feeling visually smaller is that the dial IS smaller, as is the bezel. which is why your "but the case is 40mm" is about as irrelevant a comment as they get similarly, the MM300 (which i also owned for a couple of months), while nominally 44mm, has a bezel diameter closer to 42 (just under iirc) and a dial diameter that's less than a mil bigger than something like a Sub (roughly the size of the BB58), and that's why it wears significantly smaller (but it's waaaay too thick and heavy) i thought i was conversing with intelligent beings and that it was obvious my "40mm" comment wasn't implying that the lug-to-lug would stay the same 50mm, and the thickness the same slab of uninterrupted 14.5mm, but the contrary...
Love the LHD ..hands down the best PELAGOS outthere..that includes the new ..also do believe in 10 to 15 yrs these are going to b very desirable..
Totally agree with you
Time will tell.
This watch has everything to be a future classic. Will it be discontinued
Great watch, I've bought one a month ago and I'm in love. The titanium look is just stunning.

I have it, it's a solid specd watch that looks more interesting than the standard model
Very cool :)

Its very easy to adjust if you wear it on the right wrist as intended for left handers.
true 😄
You should come back and continue making new videos. Your audio and video is on point.
Hello I would like to buy the lhd but I have a question is it annoying the crown on the left wrist ??
I pick up my harrods edition to pick up this week, I got my email , very happy 😃 🥳

Great review and fabulous watch! Cheers
Thanks buddy!
Are they going to discontinued this LHD model
Tough to say but they’re numbered on the case back
14.3 mm thick is a bit too much you think?
No, it wears flat.
Best watch.
great review ..thanks!
Thank you ☺️
Great video! I want one now lol
this in 40mm is would be a perfect tool diver for me :)
Case is only 40,5mm in diameter. Bezel is 42mm. Do check it out. You might be surprised. 😊
@@hansakselos4636 how does that matter? it still wears like a 42, as it's apparent from the video, and looks huge on a small wrist
