Best review of this truck I have seen on RUclips. Thanks for being honesty and pointing pros and cons normal people care about.
I'm really happy that you enjoyed the review. Thank you so much for watching and commenting 🙏🏻
Musk mentioned in the first Cybertruck intro that there was going to be an air compressor that doubles as the air supply for the air suspension. I guess they forgot about it like many other promises he made on the Cybertruck.
I really wish they kept more of those promises 🤦🏻♂️
How many other promises and which specifically?
This was an unusually honest review, and I really appreciate it. FYI, re: the damage to the door, those stainless panels on the Cybertruck are actually just panels that are epoxied onto a cast steel subframe. I learned that last week.
I’m glad that you enjoyed the video
Awesome review- straight to the points without prolonging the video to slowly get the points across.
I appreciate you watching. I’m glad that you appreciate the fact that I didn’t drag it out 🙏🏼
Thank you, you made some great points on like and dislike in a clear and simple way. Really appreciate the clarity with which you speak and the life experiences combined with it.
I really appreciate that Seth, really means a lot! 🙏🏻
Very good review- I saw one of these in person recently and thought “Back to the Future” had made a comeback 😂😂
I happy that you enjoyed the video 🙏🏻 I keep saying that this is the new Deloren
Sorry about the sideswipe, I am curious how the wrap held up? and what the overall damage was?
Wrap held up really well. I will be filming my update on the truck this week and will upload it shortly afterwards. Hoping for a Saturday or Sunday release 🤞🏻
One of the best CT reviews I have seen thus far. Thank you.
It really means a lot that you enjoyed it 🙏🏼
I haven't heard anyone say they dislike the fact that it doesn't come with a spare tire.
Yeah I think I should've mentioned that but I think because I don't do much off-roading it just slipped my mind
Dont pop tires on a steep shoulder by accident, spares are for more than rock crawling.
…because Kim Kardasian has my CT!
Thanks!!! What’s the wrap and where did u get it done ?
Wrap is 3M 2080 in Brushed Black Metallic
Congrats on your new CT and starting a YT channel. I’m looking into starting my own channel around my purchase of a CT. If you have any advice I would love a message or a chat if you have the time.
Thank you! I’m more than willing to help. Send me a email
Yeah the parking sensors and lack of radar..wish they kept it. Relying only on cameras causes a single point of failure. The cameras sometimes error when sunlight is shining directly on them as well as if it rains or are dirty.
Yes I couldn’t agree more. Plus I’m so used to that audible noise warning me of an obstacle that not having it has almost got me into trouble
Thanks. Cannot afford one now, and wanted to know what this truck was about - without all the bias one way or the other. Excellent review! That was fast startup for a truck!
Glad you enjoyed the video 🙏🏼
Great points! Hope Tesla will include these updates/changes. As for the powered tailgate. They could use the same electric actuators from the fronk in the rear.
Thank you for watching and commenting. I don’t understand why some simple features are missing. Most will get fixed via OTA updates but some hardware misses will have to wait for 3rd parties or 2nd gen CT 😞
Maybe the whole point of missing features is to have a 2nd and 3d gen. Why no garage openers on a $100,000 truck when Homelink worked great and not everyone wants myQ. Then where’s the built in trunk ramp? Why is the bed so narrow. Why only 5 seats when it’s so easy to make the front seats a bench?
Thank you for your review. Only part I can't agree with is the value for the foundation series. Even if FSD was still worth $12,000, which it probably was at the time you posted this video, $8,000 for a light bar that you still don't have and some decals is still excessive (imo). But the key is that you enjoy it and if you enjoy getting it that much sooner, then kudos and be happy.
Trust me I wish I wasn’t forced to pay $20k extra but I did and I have to live with it. I am extremely happy with the truck so far. Thanks for watching and commenting it really means a lot
I got the Foundation Series order, I'm conflicted between this and the Model S Plaid. Leaning towards the CT. You're on the AWD cybertruck right? Have you driven the new Model S, that feels more like a luxury car worth 100K I think but the CT is so much cooler
Yes I have. I think it all depends on what you are looking for. The Model S plaid is insanely fast and has a few more features, ie 2 front screens and FSD. But if you want a larger vehicle like a truck as well as utilize the utility of a truck then the CT is the way to go.
Thanks for the vid...glad you like your truck. I just configured mine, so waiting for a delivery date. What color is your wrap?
Congratulations 🎉 hopefully it comes soon. My wrap color is 3M 2080 in Brushed Black Metallic
The question I haven't heard answered.......... is the CT a great 40 to 60k truck?? because I see it as the only true buyers price range for real sale numbers.
yours really looks great to me.... they need to come painted
If the CT was priced at $40-60k it would be the highest selling vehicle in all of the USA, guaranteed. I believe that once the foundation series is made an option even at $80k this will sell extremely well.
Thank you for the kind words. I really love the look of mine
The only good news for most of us pre-order(s) is the double the pre order price is a no go for 90% of us.
We would have been waiting forever to get one if they came out with the advertised price!!! @@Butter_EV
@@Butter_EV Isn't it scary to know that the CT is not street legal outside the USA
Any mount points for starlink?
I’ve seen a mount which attaches to the L-Track. Wish the CT had starlink built in
very nice video, detailed and concise above all!! Thank you very much for sharing
I am so happy that you enjoyed it 😁
How did you get Disney + on your screen? Mine doesn’t have it. Mine says software is up to date but I don’t have the auto wiper yet so a bit confused as I thought that was available.
So there’s a trick. Go to your browser in the front screen and go to disneyplus.com, login and it should appear in your apps 😉
Thank you for the honest review. I have mine on order, got the email to start the process and am just waiting on delivery. I am excited to get mine. Thank you for helping me feel validated.
I am really happy that you enjoyed the video and it helped you with your purchase 🙏🏻 Congratulations on your CT and make sure to message me once you take delivery!
Why do you need to feel validated for buying something?
@@mlfnetcause deep inside he knows it's crap xd omg asking for validation after buying 100k car xddddddd people never ceases to amaze me
What bed mat are you using?
It’s an old mat I had for a Silverado but I will be doing a video soon on a bed mat specifically made for the CyberTruck. Stay tuned
Haven't heard if it has camp mode 🤔 That would be something i would love in a vehicle like this. Even better if it allowed space to open into the front of it from the back bed.
They have released Tent Mode since I filmed this video but I do wish that the back window would lower 🤷🏻♂️
@Butter_EV yeah that would be fantastic. It's a no brainer , camp mode was one of the big draw cards for me when buying the model 3 😁
I see one driving around Reno Nevada in recent months. I didn't know what it was until now.
I need to come to Tahoe/Reno soon
Most new cars and no teslas have a spare tire..I hate the hyper dependence of “ use the Tesla app” for a blowout you have to get your vehicle towed is some BS..
Agreed, especially with the fact that they want people to use the truck as a truck. If people are off roading or towing, having a spare is a big deal. I’m hoping they change their stance at some point
Isn't everyone a billionare?? Get a flat, contact, everyone to perform for you.. Rent a Lexus and 3 nights at the Hilton and gosh , i had to eat tenderloin 2 nights in a row..Tesla owners club..
@@lukequigley121 I know right! My son has a Tesla and I’ve seen the BS he has gone through just for a flat tire…NO THANKS NOT FOR ME! I’ll stick with my Chevy pick up truck…
RIGHT ON DUDE!…keep up the good work. Now go find your Cyberbrothers some cool accessories like SS fenders, bumpers, sliders and skid plates. Cool inside stuff like trim to replace that white (sound to be dirty) trim.
💯
People forgot how regular dealers mark up new cars when they first come out and everybody wants one. The foundation series is basically the dealer mark up for early access
Exactly except you're actually getting added features, AP FSD various accessories.
I owned a LATE P/T Cruiser. Not because I liked the "retro" styling but because it was a 5-door hatchback with a very upright seating position and good visibility, was a 4-banger so cheap for my commute and with the seats folded could accommodate my two big dogs.
AND because my cheap Asian econobox hatchback was written off in an accident (not my fault!) and the insurance wasn't enough for anything more.
But it's funny - when the P/T Cruiser came out, there was a huge buzz and celebrities were driving them. And they were being "flipped" and dealers were marking them up outrageously. Remember? By 2008 they were old, and no one was interested. Fast fashion applied to CARS, which is WAAAAY more stupid than just fast fashion.
And it was JUST styling ... the Cybertruck IS actually innovative.
Yes and no.. its foundation serious..which you get more things. If you wait.. you can get nonfoundation
@@blakeogeris2494 exactly, you’re not really saving much by waiting unless you plan on just buying the very basic version, no FSD, nice interior etc. you’re just saving around $5000 for the non limited edition version.
Seems like they are all the same.. differences are in software.. so everyone is in the base model waiting for updates
I wonder how much and how long to repair damage on side of truck, also can a regular body shop fix it or can only Tesla.
I did a whole video on this. It took a matter of days and only cost $9xx
Great video. Bulletproof and indestructible body should be in the plus list. Hail proof body and glass. Better noise reduction. So many more should be mentioned
Thank you! I definitely could’ve mentioned those details
How did you get it in Black? Is that a wrap?
It is wrapped
What color wrap is that?
@@singhumd😐
I'm very skeptical of getting this truck due to it being a first gen vehicle. I'll wait happily for a huge refinement in the biggest issues. Still cool but trucks are suppose to be all round utility vehicles so the fact the cubertruck is missing small things with issues is just stuff they got to work out over time.
Waiting is not the worst idea tbh. The truck is great already but it will get much better in time
I'm taking delivery of Foundation Series Cyberbeast in a few weeks. Cant wait!
That's awesome. Congratulations and enjoy!!
@@Butter_EV Thank you. Looking forward to making some content with it, so maybe see you out on the road.
Are you in SoCal? If so I’d love to do some videos with you
@@Butter_EV Yep I'm in SoCal. Sounds good!
Awesome, let’s stay in touch
I agree about the price, it’s up there alright however the early adopters pay the premium for being first to own and drive. If it were me, I’d use the truck for promotions and events and claw back some of the price premium before the novelty wears off. In time Cybertruck will be as common as an iPhone, back in 2007 when the iPhone was launched the only people I knew who could afford to own one were Dr’s & businessmen. Fast forward til now and kids in elementary school all have iPhones.
You are 💯 correct. The pricing on the CT will come down and I wouldn’t be surprised if they made a Tacoma sized version as well
@@Butter_EV A smaller CT would be really good for South America, Africa and Europe. Areas where full sized pickups are rare.
Expect a big class action suite against Tesla on the eventual non-deployment/cancelation of FSD. It has been many years of waiting for Tesla to figure out their FSD once and for all, but it does not look like they are making any progress on it......
They actually recently released the "supervised" version of FSD. I actually did a video on it
I think more battery will be released just like they offered it now for model 3? But you have to pay more I think
I believe that once they fine tune the new 4680s it’ll naturally give the truck more range
I believe that once they fine tune the 4680s it’ll unlock more range
So did you pay 100k or 120k with the autonomous driving?
Mine is the AWD CT so it was $100k
How much did the wrap cost?
Mike's Tint Shop in Orange sponsored my truck but it would normally cost around $4k
No STEAM for that price is ridiculous considering the S/X have it.
Also the rear view camera needs the water spray!
Agreed and agreed
50K is fair price for all options. It takes fossil fuel to charge it. The only time an electric makes sense if it is charged by safe nuclear energy.
$50k is definitely a great price point but I think the truck is worth more than that IMO
Fantastic video! Very information, thanks Tony!
Who’s Tony? 🤣
@@Butter_EV , Eric!
You confused me when you said "no for Tony" in the video, WHO IS TONY!?
When did I say that? 😂🤣
@@Butter_EV now you're going to make me watch the whole video again... one moment :P
Great list. Congrats. Ticks a lot of SUV and truck things. Great wrap.
Thank you. When in the cab it really feels like an SUV but obviously has a bed
Not sure what you do for work and so this may not matter, for you.
Can you carry a 4X8 sheet of plywood in the back?
Fixing up an old estate and I need to get supplies AND clean up and get off to the Airport to pick up family and or friends.
I think the Cyber truck is great for towing long journeys, making a real road trip out of it. A regular 8 hour trip could take day's 😂. The Cyber truck making long journeys longer
I did a roadtrip to Arizona and only needed to stop once. Which was nice since my son and I wanted to eat and use the restroom. Didn’t add anything extra to our trip. But I can see on anything longer than that how it could be an issue
great review! I finished my order today!
I’m glad that you enjoyed the video and congratulations on your CyberTruck! Hope you get it soon 🙏🏼
Good review, Air Compressor not necessary when you can buy a Ryobi Cordless Power Inflator
That’s what I’ve been using but I’d rather not have to carry that around and have to deal with batteries. I’m glad that you enjoyed the video and I appreciate your support
portable inflators work for tires but not numatic tools, some use cases require a air tank. One less thing to carry around, not bad to have the option since the systems in place on suspension.
@@robgronsky4466 interesting, maybe in the future if the economics make sense. most people aren't using their cybertruck to operate pneumatic tools.
@@TeslaSoCal True but useful, cheaper then battery operated nail guns and such. The same result can be had with a small air tank and a portable compressor. These compressors can only operate for a short duration so a tank is needed to store the air charge for longer sessions. I've seen a rivian used on youtube for this but there was some control issues, would need to be tested.
Have you experienced rust underneath your wrsp?
I don’t know as I haven’t looked underneath the wrap. When I had it re wrapped after my accident the wrap shop didn’t mention noticing any rust and I believe that they would’ve told me
@@Butter_EV Seems a lot of owners complain about rust. I think they’re short sellers of Tesla stock. Hard to know what’s true.
Tesla says it’s iron bonding to the surface of the truck but it’s zero corrosion and the iron comes right off with the rust and that The truck is fine. I noticed it on the wheels.
@@AR-rn8ok Does the iron rust keep coming back?
One of the best reviews I have watched. Simple, clear, unbiased.
I really appreciate the kind words and am happy that you enjoyed it 😁
Why would you spend $20,000 on a feature that doesn’t exist?
They’ll all be here in future OTA updates but I do agree that it’s frustrating not having some of them now. Patience is a virtue 😂
You do realize other companies had steer by wire long before Tesla and the cyber truck right?! Lexus Mercedes etc for years. That’s why it was always talked about with the plaid
Yes I do know that this technology has been out for years but no one pushed it to the masses like Tesla is. I wouldn’t be shocked if they put steer by wire in all future vehicles at some point
Doesn't range drop to less than 100 miles when towing 10,000 lbs?
Unfortunately I haven’t towed anything that heavy yet but I am hoping to test that soon. Please stay tuned
Very good review. thanks.
I’m glad you enjoyed it 🙏🏼
Appreciate the honesty. You are right should be about $70k.
Don’t get me wrong I love the truck but I do think that $70k would be the sweet spot
This is the video I needed to watch to make my decision

Just saw the best name EVER for a cybertruck.... Behold the Wankpanzer.
🤣😂🤣
Based in Engineering Explained about towing with electric truck in the future you better off with having the extended battery specially with towing.
I’m really excited to get my range extender 🙏🏼
@@Butter_EV They should have included the range extender with the Foundation series instead of FSD.
That would’ve been nice
When are you going to get the Accident damage repaired and how much is it
I will be filming that video this week and releasing soon after. I appreciate you asking and support 🙏🏻
3:40 ???? we can all see the visibility sucks. Those pillars are MASSIVE
I haven’t had any issues with them after approximately 5,000 miles 🤷🏻♂️
@@Butter_EV you say that as if it's a contradiction but it's not.
cybertruck is a hunk of junk...you all got played by EM...tsla will be bankrupt in 2 years
👀
They have 2 million reservations. It’s going to take them 9 more years to produce all that. That’s why less people ordered the cars as they were waiting for the truck. But stock shot up yesterday on news lower priced evs will be produced by the end of this year or early 2025.
@@AR-rn8ok enjoy the wait...ill buy toyota
so basically, designed well physically but software problems. Needs spare tire under rear, not sure why frunk isnt bigger but otherwise besides the price, not bad.
Hardware is great and software needs fine tuning but luckily that’s mostly an easy fix via OTA updates
Will you consider selling the Cybertruck after a year?
I don't think so but you can never say never
Honestly, I learned from owning an early Model 3, it'll take Tesla 2-3 years to workout the kinks. I'll wait till then.
You are right. It's definitely like a beta test
"The rear screen sucks because it doesn't let your kids play games"

Homelink auto open/close is one of my favorite things about the Tesla; I wonder why they no longer offer this ??? Cost saving ?? Is Elon going backward?
I truly have no idea. It cannot cost that much for it to be a cost savings move. I’m really confused about they’re decision to leave it out
There are 2 scratches on the right side door, who did that??
👀
kind of stupid how over the years they keep increasing the price on "self driving". by the time it comes out, if other company offer it for say...included or 1/3rd price.
Price on FSD actually just dropped from $12k to $8k
That has to sting for everyone that’s paid 12 or above for it. It sounds so promising if it was out right now I’d pay for it if I bought a Tesla truck, which has my interest at the moment I could bring myself to pay even eight grand or five grand for something now that has taken so many years. I think by the time it finally comes out a lot of other manufacturers will be offering some thing similar the same
Need lumber rack for 16' long wood and rebars. Really like the truck but don't need all the attention.
That would be a nice accessory. I agree with your attention comment but I will say it is calming down
Like every other person who reviews these things you do not show one important thing: an adult sitting up in the back seat. You mention rear seat room but carefully hide the passenger from the knees up. Leg and foot room are all well and good but hip, shoulder, and head room are just as important. Because every single review of these things ignores the headroom issue I'm left to presume the sloping roof renders the rear seat useless for adults.
Not at all. I’m 6’2” and fit very well in the back. I have a video with SmurfinWRX where I sit in the back
Great information!
I predict future versions of FSD will be split into two categories: personal use and robotaxi
For personal use the price will drop. If you want to use your car as a robotaxi revenue source, there will be a much higher licensing fee and these will be released according to Tesla’s models on market use. They won’t always want everyone who has FSD operating robotaxis in an area.
I believe anyone who has purchased FSD prior to this cost split will be eligible for robotaxi. But, for personal use the cost will adjust to maximize review via (adoption)x(price) curve.
Wow I never thought of this but that is interesting. I can really see them doing something like this. I’m going to mention your comment in my next podcast on Thursday. I think my co hosts will have some opinions on this suggestion. I appreciate you watching and commenting 🙏🏼
Don't you think you’re putting the "robotaxi" before the proverbial horse here?
@@stupidas9466 Yeah, of course. But, I believe this is the internal plan for Tesla and also one of the reasons why they are gatekeeping with the current pricing.
Yeah, I paid for auto pilot and full self driving in 2016, and I still didn't get it either! And, they won't transfer that feature in a trade in unless there is a special at that time. I'm not liking the exterior screen. The older x (which I have) has the screen embedded in the dash. Also, I do prefer to have two screens, including one in front of the steering wheel. Also, this vehicle 100% needs a video rear view mirror. I would never buy the cybertruck the way it is configured.
It's interesting that he thinks it was worth it to get the auto pilot and self driving. I regret 100% getting it, and I think he'll soon regret it when it doesn't come out by the time he wants to trade in the vehicle.
I wish AP and FSD were already in the CT but I do understand that they need more real miles in order to fully calibrate it. I do wish there was a screen behind the steering wheel and a screen in the rear view mirror was a huge miss IMO. Thanks for the watch and comment 🙏🏼
@@Butter_EV The same bullshit excuse has been there for years, ever since they introduced the scam which they call FSD. There is no calibrating anything, that is not something you can calibrate. The next version, or the version after that, or after that will not magically fix the FSD. You, and everyone else who were foolish enough to believe into false promises on a technology which is not possible are just patsies.
Put my deposit down recently, seems like a sweet ride but those dislikes are long and I can agree with a lot of them.
Yes I had a lot of likes and dislikes hence why I did them in rapid fire to keep the video from 30+ mins. In all honesty the likes outweigh the dislikes and some of the bigger dislikes can be fixed in a OTA update. You won’t be disappointed with your CT. Congratulations and enjoy!!
NEVER have I seen so many trying to destroy or scrutinize ANY vehicle. RUclipsr after RUclipsr.
I’m simply providing my unbiased opinions on the CyberTruck which I think most appreciate. Thanks for watching and commenting
Dont really get the mirror thing. I drive a van, which is just as big and I cant even see out of rear back windows, just use side mirrors with no issues. Dont even have a camera.
I get your point but when you’re spending $100k for a vehicle you’d expect certain things. Especially when you see cars with a lower price tag have these features

But yes, say it, you got a point!

Love this honest review. Fair and unbiased

Is it 4x4
Yes it is. Also they just released a new update yesterday which gives it many more off road features
Be real careful with closing those back doors around your kids unless you want to pick a finger up off the floor.
I believe they detect obstructions and won’t close
Wow I wish they could upgrade the fact it don’t get attention because “PEOPLE” hit you?🤔
These were my Likes and Dislikes. One of the dislikes was how much attention it gets which can and is dangerous. I believe MKBHD intro'd with this in his latest video
God, I feel old. You just listed a whole lot of problems I don't understand and didn't even know existed as possibilities. Good job, Elon. You've created new problems for the auto industry and the motorist in general.
Not sure that is accurate but I appreciate you watching and commenting
@@Butter_EV That's fair. I'm not sure it was accurate either. Just how I felt at the time and hope it was at least funny and someone can laugh at my old a$$ not understanding this technology. LOL (sighs)
Rear hatch is soft close, don’t slam it!
You are right
i'd be afraid to ride in a steel box with 750kg of explosive lithium with imposible to break windows and electric door handles but thats just me, lol
Gas is flammable and explosive as well. I've seen plenty of ICE vehicles on fire on the side of the rode. Doors have manual open latches
@@Butter_EV good thing they added manual latches, but still ice truck of comparable size only carry 300 lbs of combustible in a impact safe fuel tank not under passenger area, anyhow, glad you have the money to burn on that vehicle, definitely not a practical investment but will be a collection item, given the battery is still available in a few decades!
Why dislike the storage space in the front. one, you literally have all the storage you need in the back. Two, 99% of vehicles don't have storage in the front because that's where the engine etc are. Maybe Elon has spoiled people to where they think something that they get nowhere else is a problem. Like hey i like the extra bathroom, that no other apartment offers but it's small. Like people the battery etc has to go somewhere. i mean you want those things on the roof and then you can use the front for suitcases?
I totally see your point but when your competitors have larger frunks then it has to be pointed out. Also this is the first frunk in any Tesla that I have owned that I actually use so I do wish it was a bit larger. Thanks for the comment and watch. I appreciate the opinion
Glad most of your dislikes are things that Tesla will address over time...the rest I can live with. No spare tire is my biggest gripe.
Shoot I forgot about the spare tire. But yes most of these issues should be addressed via a OTA update but I still wanted to bring them up in a video. Thanks for the watch and comment
That tiny little rearview screen would drive me nuts. Not safe at all.
I really dislike that they didn’t just put a screen in place of the rear view mirror like other cars
Sunk Cost Fallacy brother you will regret getting rid of that ram because this "truck" will not replace any modern truck
I hope not 😨
The CT will be great as a daily driver. RAM is not a great truck
Ain't no way you put your social media handles on your truck 😂
😳
Getting triggered on dislikes but held on for likes❤
I definitely didn’t want to trigger you but I had to share the things that I didn’t like. Some have already been fixed via OTA updates and I’m hoping for others to get fixed as well 🤞🏼
Like #14 outlets in the bed for camping. Who’s gonna do that and end up getting your truck towed home from the campsite.
Battery will only deplete to 20% so you cannot get stranded
Great video but I’m guessing the camera guy is doing the editing? He’s very sloppy. I should not be hearing his voice say action (“OK”).
👀
@@Butter_EV yeah I’m a proofreader and I also have a masters I film. So I see it right away.
The primary feature that you are paying for is the design. The design is so radical, Chinese companies can't copy it. It looks like a space truck. Whether or not it is a functional truck is a separate story.
The design is wild and so far the truck has been able to accomplish all of my tasks. I'm pretty happy so far. Thank you for watching and commenting. It really means a lot
You could reach into the bed of the truck if you didn't have it so high!
I’m 6’2” and even in the lowest setting I cannot fully reach into the bed of the truck
