How much does a camera system cost? $500? I would’ve gladly paid that for them to have included a more robust camera system in the CT

@@Butter_EV As I said you want a camera and the next N guys want something else. Even better than providing specific additional cameras would be Tesla setting up the cameras to register with the computer. Plug in a $150 or so Tesla camera and it shows up on the screen where you can manage it. Tesla could provide an adapter to hook it to the cable. There goes another $100 but still not bad. Have no real idea what Tesla would charge. Did they do it this way Doubtful. But this is not difficult for the software people. If enough people ask for it on X maybe it will happen. Or at least plant the seed for it to show up later.

You make a good point but I think the more concerning thing is I'm not sure they know the issue otherwise they would just push a update to fix or officially announce the recall

Tesla hasn’t said anything official on the matter but I have heard of tri motor owners having similar issues

I mainly use the step when off-roading and the truck is in a higher height

I’ve heard of tri motor owners having their motors replaced as well

Waiting for the second iteration of the CT isn’t the worst move

@@Butter_EV I’m hoping for e Silverado version 2 personal and business/industrial both loaded with most options. Im really looking forward to those and I am not much of a truck fan…I prefer RV as my icon shows..BUT those trucks can do some things that RV cant or wont be able to do as well…less things but still some important things.

I’ve had two refresh Model X. Long range and Plaid. Long Range bought back coz of issues. Plaid has reoccurring issues. Not saying all have problems but lightning strikes twice in the same location for me. Good luck

Second iteration CT will hopefully fix many of these issues and also add some extra features

@@Butter_EV I hope Tesla can make their higher priced cars as good as the Model 3 and Y. Those seem to have much less issues and better built

I think it depends how early you got it. I got mine a month ago so far no issues like many people stated. Also how do people drive their vehicles (not that it should matter) but I have been ok so far

Thanks Hugo, I appreciate the kind words. To be honest the motor issue was hanging over me as I saw it as a ticking time bomb. Now that it’s been addressed I feel much better about future road trips

@Butter_EV Yes, it's better to get it over with and be good for the trips. I was getting ready to go through and design the truck, but I think I'm going to wait a few months. The kinks should be fixed by then. The thing is I want the truck now but seeing what's been going on I think I should wait. What do you think?

If you’re able to wait I’d say wait. Not only will the kinks get worked out but you’ll also more than likely get the truck at a better price with FS being gone. I’d also not blame you if you pulled the trigger now 😂

I use Baja all the time when doing city driving and want a more aggressive look. All that Baja mode does is change the way the CT drives but nothing that will adversely effect the truck itself from what I understand

They have to draw the line somewhere or they will never ramp production high enough to be profitable. Citing Riving is not a good idea as it is unlikely that they will every break even on the R1T and S. When CT production is high enough Tesla can look at adding more bells but keeping it somewhat lean at the start makes sense. Given current production I think they may have hit it about right.

$300 for a subscription to your garage door?! I didn't even pay $300 for the opener! Ugh, some people with too much money are ruining things for the rest of us. 'Whales' in video games keep microtransactions and pay to win alive. People subbing to every single channel keep cable and the million pay as you go apps alive. Bout the only thing the rich buy anymore is houses, and those are only to rent to those of us who can't afford a $77,777 down payment. Getting the poor to pay their mortgage so they can keep spending more on conspicuous consumption. Also, rant aside, why pay that much for what you could DIY? A few raspberry pis and some basic coding can do all that without letting big corpo watch you through your cameras or know every time you go to the bathroom.

@@Jcewazhere I’m a disabled veteran, not a whale. I hesitated buying the subscription, however, it ends up being $2.50 per month. Many people spend $5 to $10 several times a week or month on coffee, or more in cigarettes and alcohol.

We spoke about the battery tray a few months back but apparently the extra space is for air flow. I'd love to see a larger battery pack on the CT 🙏🏻

@@Butter_EV Not sure if you were able to troubleshoot the reason, but here it is: Your guest's, KobraToldYa, mic gain was set too high hence the distortion. TLDR: I use R0de and on the app you can manually change the mic gain - not sure if DJI offers something similar. My advice to you is to always perform a mic check for speaker/guest volume, mic gain, mic location and wind check. This will prevent situations like this occurring in the future. For the speaker/guest volume, have every person talking into the mic to speak softly first, then normally, then loudly - this will help with finding a median range to set gain levels. Great video by the way.

I'm guessing that was supercharger cost .45 kwh Would only have been 8 bucks if charging from home . .16 kwh I'm supposed to pick up my beast this weekend. I've been pendulating between canceling the order and going through with it. The two reasons that have me questioning our number one all the hate and judgment and number two I'm worried about the long-term issues that I might have to get fixed on it. My van looks like I'm about 35,000 in the production line. It's the last six digits of your van. What are you near since you got here's a few weeks ago? I'm thinking maybe 25,000 ish. I'm hoping the more they put out the more they dealt with the issues they seen.

@@dhageman8 Supercharger cost was .55kkwh (I have NO clue what it means yet). As for charging from home, I live in an old(er) condo. However, even if I lived a newly built million dollar 300sf studio, I kinda doubt it'd be much different... In regards to your pendulating feelings, rent one on Turo for 3 days... Today, day four I took it off road, literally watched a truck spinning its wheels and just couldn't climb that edge in which he later backed up and took a different path. I just went... over it.... like as if there was no edge.... But that wasn't the highlight of the day. I somehow luckily stopped at front of a traffic light just before the freeway... I saw the opportunity and changed from Standard mode to Beast mode and stepped on the brakes and accelerator and prepared for launch.... I swear.... not even a roller coaster was that thrilling.... by the time I looked at the mph I was doing 90 and I immediately let go of the accelerator.... Can't see ANYTHING behind me. I think they were just half way to the light.....

Math doesn't add up. My cost to charge at home is 10.5 cents per kilowatt hour. It would cost $12.91 to go from zero state of charge to full battery for a Cybertruck (10.5 cents x 123 kWh). Cyberbeast is rated at 301 miles EPA but real world it's more like 226 (so real world $12.91 for 226 miles or $5.71 for 100 miles) If you're paying $30 for 100 miles the truck is not the problem. It should cost you just over $30 for 600 miles in the Cybertruck just like your Prius.

@@Butter_EV that’s what got me at the reveal, once people got past the look 👀 🤯 and saw the features and what it could do it was a game changer, and nobody else even knew at the time that the production CT would be even better by having steer by wire and 4 wheel steering… 🤯

I'm picking mine up next week. Trying to get an idea of how many they've made so far. The last 6 digits of mine are around 035000 So that would be around 35k produced. Is yours around that number? I'm hoping that I'm dep enough that they've worked most of the kinks out

I wouldn't say that it was poorly executed as I think they accomplished what they sought out to do. But what I would say is that I don't think they thought of the traditional truck driver and built a truck for them

That could work if there are extension cables that can handle that load. Good idea 👍🏻
