- As you will see in this episode the new Ford F550 short box Self loader by Dynamic is the ultimate repo truck. Gets the job done where others fall short. Also got a set of new wireless tow lights but I'll go over those in more detail in another video.
“Is there a church parking lot we can take this to?”
“Are you kidding me? This is Utah..”
Haha I love the "no lets take two trucks, it'll be more aggressive that way"
Lmao 🤣 🤣 that was retarded ass hell. Let me scare the guy with the sight of my truck being on his parking lot. How does that make any sense
Your truck is so organized and neat. I've seen someone's personal vehicle that wasn't as neat as your work truck.
You know you know a neighbourhood when you remember the cars that were repoed in an area just by sight. Nice with the sharing there Matt, and best wishes.
"GET THAT F***ING UPS MAN OUTTA MY WAY!!!! I lol'd so hard, o an wireless lights Matt???
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Here I am in 2018 and they are talking about the Note 3...and the Note 8 just came out😂
Here I am, still 2018, and theres a freakin Note 9 out. So.. yea.. Flynn is damn right.. they release new phone facelifts like bread nowadays
Note 3 was a great phone. Our phones today are much better tho!
here it is and its 2019 they are talking about the Samsung Flip
@@RickTobin98 Rip samasung flip
2020 Went from the Note 3 to the Note 9. Nice jump
Great vid Matt good to see you teaming up with Jake!
The talks you and Jake have are epic, always like listening to them
DarkendestinyDemon 8
Now, after binge watching your channel, I want to be a repo man lol... at least on the side... looks like fun
Dub Di easy money. And laid back pretty much 24/7 lol I’ve done it for years in Houston.
I like your new wireless tow light!
Bahahaha the note 3, here I am watching this on my Note 10
I don't know how but I learned a lot by watching this video!
Loving the vids.. Keep em coming ;) If I were younger..
The welding people did a good job on the weld of your pin if the pin was to pop again I would imagine it would have pop hauling that dually. Thanks
Great video with Jake. Good reminder to make that payment.
Note 3 lol throwback man I loved my note 3 I had, its note 10 now
Had to tow one like for a dealership I worked for years ago. The truck I had was a 5.4 long wheel base super duty with a fixed 18' car hauler bed. Barely fit on the bed and I think it weighed more than the truck towing it. Top speed the drive back was 45mph in and of the mts of WV.
7.3s are gold
in addition to white smoke meaning that your smashed rear quarter panel is rubbing on the tire it also means you have elected a new pope
and I think the father of the debtor took off when he saw you coming with that claw hammer.....you still got it Matt :)
Nice video dude! :)
That gas Chevy is exactly like mine . great 5th wheel hauler
You repo people's vehicles and your so chill about it and let them get their stuff out just like another repo business near where I live and does the same as you do but he doesn't do any RUclips videos
Matt u dnt be PLAYING NO GAMES you be in and out PERIODT!! Get that UPS man out the way Jake coming through lmbooo
finally got some remote tow lights, cool.
Hope those wireless lights work out for ya. keep us posted on it eh?
Right after you got this truck, you got to use the winch to pull a snowmobile on to a trailer in the snow. Otherwise you and the finance lady would have had to try a push it up. That truck just keeps showing why it's worth it's weight in gold! Lol
Great vid
7.3 Awesome, this only has 170,000 miles, I know this is an old video, but 7.3 with these miles, I would have bought that truck in a heart beat!!!!
oh man, 2 trucks - you know shit is going to hit the fan,
You did them a favor by getting that hooptie out of their yard.
The only thing your truck could benefit from is a Gear Vendors overdrive. That would help you on the high way to get your rpm's down. That f550 is a true ninja truck. The suspension will handle way more then you can tow only because it's short wheel base doesn't give you enough weight over the steer axle.
Looks like it is time for a mini spud bar to pry that metal off
Jake is a cool cat
Dewalt 18volt grinder with a cutoff wheel will go through that chain like a hot knife through butter!
But that 7.3 gasser is gonna be a game changer
Next thing you know "repo man sued for destroying some ones chain"
Good man!
That ringtone!
I miss the towing brother lifestyle. Always there for each other, minus a slim few. If you need a rollback driver, give me a call. Only problem is relocating from Illinois to Utah.
I know exactly were that maverik is :') good ol' days!
I have to say, the pink bloom trees were beautiful, yes I am a woman ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Two things...
1. Why don't you wear a seatbelt?
2. You should really fix your turn signals. They are hyper-flashing due to LEDs. This is something that can be fixed with resistors or an LED-compatible flasher relay.
u might wanna think about going 4 the true stainless plastic coated wire rope there. yes its like 4 times as expensive but it may be the few of the best investment you may ever make.
after talking about the swearing everything after that is bleeped out ahhaha!
I use his same phone for a HDMI link to my tv ,the Note 3 is still an excellent device ,I stream Amazon prime to my tv from the Note 3 and that little HDMI cable phone link also keeps the phone charged , $10.99 for Amazon prime vs the $180 I was paying for cable is a no brainer ,and I get true HD from the phone vs cables shitty HD.
Matt, I like to ask you something. I repo car by my self with the spare keys. I do 2 - 3 times a month in NC. Can you help me some software that don't cost so much, because I have one here a there hard to find. Love your video's. Thanks Man
Why do I watch this? some how, I find it very interesting and entertaining X).
any way, you got a new sub :)
Maybe I should start doing repo ;)
Lain me 2 but I wouldn't have contact with the people too much drama.
Good il get the f450 lets get matt to try and come pick it up
The dent in the show's that a pole broke off and went through the windshield. Don't make it out worse than it is. And use a bat pull forward and it will bend it out. How long have you been towing?
yeah i have a few cracked cable strands on my 4000 lb one i have mounted on my car hauler. thinking if the cable goes to hell or gets too rusty then i'll get one of those straps or synthetic ropes for it instead, can't imagine how much 1000 feet of 1/4" steel cable would run
I have 100 feet of the synthetic rope on my 12500lb winch. Just as strong as the similar rated steel cable and so much easier to work with. Just have to be careful with sharp edges.
A lot of times those cars end up being repossessed by the county because the family doesn't want to get rid of them, this happens because the family is violating state beautification laws, and city ordinances, and oftentimes starts with complaints by Neighbors about junk on the property.
Matt, if someone is out front scoping out your home go out and video them. Let them know it too by non verbals. if someone is on the up and up they'll understand. if they're not, well, it's what they get and deserve. Be careful out there!
So all the vehicles y’all repo, anything y’all find in the vehicles y’all get to keep?
So the is a down side of having the 2 door cab truck? That u can't hall some things?
Hey Matt, I bought a DJI Phantom Vision Plus UAV.. I should come down sometime to your neck of the woods and do a aerial video shoot of you repoing
I've had the Note 3 since they came out.. getting Note 4 next.. Best phone ever.. even works with gloves.
That would be awesome if Matt let you do that....although,that's more footage he would have to edit...:/
Jake is cool.
you should have left that chain for the one you cut lol
Nice Job..
lol watching this guy hype up the note 3 when its 2018 is amazon
Get that wireless controller!
Always needed a counter weight on the front not to float the steer wheels.
You should have taken the controller out the passenger window! Greater length and viewable
Hi mat why don't you use the loop on the boom for the winch and olso do you still use the normal tail lamps ?
Every time I've gotten to look at that loop, it looks fully closed. If it is, then once you terminate the cable there, you are not changing that setup in the field. I think he uses that winch more for utility, like he showed, than heavy duty recovery, so I see why it is set up that way.
Almost all blowouts occur due to low tire pressure. It is safer to be 10 psi high compared to 10 psi low. What vehicles do you always see pulled over on the freeway with flat tires? It's trailers...boat trailers, utility trailers, etc...because they seldom get used and people don't notice the low tire pressure. Go check your tire pressure now because every tire on the planet loses a little pressure every single day.
Hey matt is jake interested in that dully you guys picked up?
Just for my info; Five years ago you had a better pick-up truck than 2 years ago?
Did you try taking the controller out the passenger said of the truck
Hey Matt, do you charge jake like a partial amount for helping him out or is it more like you help me i help you whenever no charge kind of deal?
We just help each other out...
is that 6.4 a good diesel? some were junk i hear
I still want to see Layla repo some more. I take my dog everywhere and it was sad to see her get out of the business. :)
A flat bed wrecker is going to be loaded when it picks that thing up. Plus the load will be high in the air. I would be really careful with turns etc.
jbm banter Helping Jake is another example of paying it forward! Good for you!
@@jbmbanter897 talking to yourself?
if you had continue to do this you should wear high visibility gear to be seen day and night when doing repos and stopped on the shoulder of live traffic.
Tell jake to try a duramax 3500 or step up to a 550 like your truck there!
Word is Gm is coming out with a 4500 and 500 chassie in the next few years to try and take some of fords market share on work trucks
GM has had a 4500 out they won't touch ford they know it.
Is that legal in your to cut the lock in your state??
can you send the f350 dual cab to australia? i am chasing one here
Are at anytime thinking of using more GoPros in your vids like one on the light bar looking down on the lift, or like on the side of your truck?
I've played with the idea...
i always wondered if you repo a truck with a long trailer like a boat trailer or a car trailer that is attached to the truck you are repoing? how would you do that?
they unhook it ._.
I guess the other car turning left thought his car was out of "blinker fluid." 😜😜
I know this is old but why back it up into a spot when the whole lot is empty? Wouldn't that make it hard for the flatbed?
Jake sure is cute in my opinion lol - from Jake in Colorado though
Matt,
I thought you weren't interested in the wireless tow lights due to how they sometimes don't work or have a delay when you hit your brakes. What made you change your mind?
These are better than the ones that have been on the market for awhile and don't have the problems that made wireless unappealing to me.
How did he pull it from the front ?
The father jumped back in the van probably because you had a hammer in your hand. lol lol
Is there something wrong with your blinker relay or light bulbs? Sounds like your truck has the hyper-blinker issue
His rear tail lights have been converted to LED lights. They do not draw the same current as regular light bulbs so the blinker relay thinks that the bulbs are burnt out. That is why they hyper flash. That could be fixed by installing resisters in line with the bulbs but it probably does not bother him.
cjones4512 Yea, I thought those were the original tail lights. It is an easy fix tho, as you just said, and I would have added the resistors myself if that was my truck
Ever have to tow those raggedy rvs
You should work a deal with Jake and get back you-tube Repo-Nuting.
Rocky Mount wrecker?
Does that mean you live in NC?
Nevermind, you mentioned utah
Man thats a shame that f350 got that messed up!
Nice vid as usual. Just some questions though I've been thinking about for a bit,
1. How does stuff not fall out of the back tray when it's not strapped down?
2. How does stuff not get stolen from the tray?
3. How does the vehicle not get stolen when you leave it running unattended?
4. Why do you not have a wireless system for the lift, winch etc? A wireless system is easy to rig up now with the home automation kits (remote tx'er and rx'er), a nice project box with some toggles, a few relays/solenoids to run the car side of the receiver and some time and patience. It would make life a LOT easier like the remote brake lights.
I still love the view of the camera looking straight up the lift, have you ever thought of a camera and screen near your rear-vision to watch the vehicle and behind the vehicle? A multi-cam'd monitor might also work with a wireless camera with a magmount to attach to the tow if needed as well for reversing in tight spots and so on.
The doors remain closed when traveling and they latch so they cannot open on their own. They also lock so that is how stuff is kept safe and my truck has a very sophisticated security system on it that allows the doors to auto lock when I walk away even when it is running and also has GPS tracking devices inside it so in the event someone figured out how to get around the security I could locate the truck instantly.
RepoNut
Oh I see the straps are in lock boxes and the dollies have cliplocks on them but the bars just seem to be sitting on the bed.
As for the security system it sounds like I'd be your worst nightmare if I was that way inclined since I'm heavily into computers and radios I understand how a lot of it works and can be quickly disabled :).
The auto locking doors is a good idea, I've just never seen you using a fob. When I was doing pizza deliveries in some really shady areas when the mrs and I first got together we installed an aftermarket central locking and alarm kit so I could use the fobs to lock/unlock whilst the car was still running (doesn't work on my newer car :( ) so basically I'd walk up with enough float on me to change their order for a $50 with the rest locked in the car with the mrs and her hand on the mobile ready to dial 000 should something happen. Then I'd be easily passed a bar through the slightly opened window to play with. Luckily I never had to use that plan as all the antennas on the car seem to settle em quickly. The 2ways were another backup we had since we were always talking to mates of large size like myself on them and some were in the security industry. 1 word of "HELP we're at xxxx" and fireworks would begin, went for any of us.
Talking about security I'm surprised you don't travel open carry and with mace + batton for self preservation, it's definitely not a friendly job which your doing and as for the argument some pull that repos deserve all they get, it's only a job and whilst some are truly hardly done by the banks most seriously just don't want to pay the fkn debts. We started out with a car under $1k to get work and stay out of debt, was a shitbox we loved and cried to see it go, then upgraded to a $2k car. That was destroyed in floods and the insurance money (yeah that's where MOST of our money goes /sigh) paid for a good car we've had for near 10 years. I'd rather travel in a $500 shitbox than owe $20k on something that is going to be trashed in the carkparks and by our kids as they grow up.
RepoNut
Also forgot to ask, you never replied to a Q I placed in one of the vids about the HTML-PHP-SMTP-EVERNOTE (think it was evernote you were using) and about the legalities of the headers and electronic chain. Obviously the bank has the right to recall it's property I'm never going to argue that point but who created the layout and header info on the repos?
I know from doing PHP myself that a dynamic email with the info all filled in from the form (secured or unsecured) can be made to appear how you like with font sizes, colours, types, pictures taken from a folder of the webserver included in the message etc. My question is how does this legally work over there? Is there a strict layout that has to be adhered to? How to you prevent fraud from someone fraudulently creating similar and stealing a legitimate car?
i hope you have a roll or 2 of duck tape.
What is the longest load you can pull
When you do jobs for other repo companies, how much do you tend to charge? I know you did this one with Jake on trade/favor, but how much did he have to pay the flat bed to take that rig the rest of the way? It seems like it would be hard for him to turn a profit in situations like that so why did he even agree to take the order? Just curious... Thanks...
We bill all expenses above the repo fee to the lender so if we have to hire special equipment or pay for a flatbed tow then that is not included as part of the base repo fee.
RepoNut, cool. And the lender, understandably, passes those costs onto the depter. Makes sense, but sucks for the depter in more ways then one. But thats life. Wouldn’t be a problem if they paid their bills on time.
If I had to guess, I'd say that Lexus hit a small deer -- body of the deer messing up the front bumper, head of the deer going thru the windshield. Then, in the surprise of the deer-strike, the driver lost control, spun the car, and hit a couple of other cars -- hence the damage to the left-rear quarter and the right-rear door.
And isn't she required to have insurance when there's a loan on the vehicle? Shouldn't that pay the finance company what she owes?
It was canceled just a week before this accident. Go figure...
Awesome video Matt, nice to see another video of you and Jake doing a repo. Out of curiosity how much is that winch rated to pull? Also I've been wondering what camera and monitor do you use? Hope those wireless lights work out for you, can't wait for the next video!
8000 on the wench and hanscomk.com on the monitor and camera.
That Tow Dolly Is Stolen U-Haul equipment! Where was this at so we can investigate?
What was the music you listen too?
Get that f**king UPS man out of my way.
Guy walking past, Yeah.
Gap insurance on the loan and full coverage auto insurance. Then you still don't have to pay and this bother for lenders and repo guys doesn't exist.
dang i want to know what she hit... if there was a person invloved like she hit one or a passanger went through window.. how would the car be released from the scene to go home... or without notice to the lean holder or insurance. its not like she hit a mail box and didnt report it.
So are you repoing this from a garage that was fixing the car from the guy/girl that owned the car. Or does the garage own the car?
We think the guy worked there or was hiding it there with a friend.
turn signal, do you use it? please use it, it is especially important! Be safe! Keep others safe! Are you driving a BMW?
Overhere in Europe that sort of people mostly drive Audis now..
