- Showing how we get debtors who constantly ask us to put the vehicle down even though the finance company has clearly asked us to get the vehicle and deliver it. This lady just would not stop asking and I figured it's good to show that we just keep working until the job is done.

Just like the repo man can be sneaky, so can the general public.
Just because someone does this as a profession doesn't always make them right. Yes, they have a job to do and a family to care for, but they're STILL just as HUMAN as the REST of us.
The repo team may get away with outsmarting people for so long until they've MET THEIR MATCH. When they've met their match, they may realize they're going to have to step up their game. Then, they MAY have a situation where they CAN'T outsmart their target.... 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I own a $2500 van, and a $5000 car. Neither one is terribly pretty, but they both run like champs. The first house I ever bought cost $7000. It was a small two bedroom in a small town, which we made improvements to as we could. Save, save, save. If you can't pay for it in cash, you can't afford it.

Jake Voss I'm lucky. The first thing I wanted to do after I married my first husband was take out a credit card (just like my mom!). He put his foot down and said absolutely not. His parents never had a credit card, and the only debt they ever took on was a mortgage. Every vehicle we ever owned we paid for in cash, every house was bought in cash, even his EMT courses we paid for in cash. We lived that way for 14 years. He passed away two years ago, and I will never take out a credit card, a mortgage, or a loan because he proved to me it wasn't necessary. You'd be amazed how far ahead you can get when you don't have to pay interest, and how relaxed life is when you don't have to worry about things being taken away from you if you're broke by the end of the month.

She wasn't even in a parking spot! She is blocking a handicap ramp for crying out loud! This just shows her personality and mind set towards things in life. You gotta pay to play folks.

***** Except when you have a loan on something, you don't own it. The person you owe money to does until you pay them back. It's not theft to recover something when you aren't paid what you're owed on it

That was nice of the Repo man to give the debtor the chance to get things straightened out at least.
Twice now, some retrieval company has tried to repo my car, that hasn't had a lean since '10. Once in baltimore county md. and once in f'burg va. The first guy, well the make model and year matched, but i have VA plates, he didnt check them or the vin. My car was release without fee, so long as i didn't press charges. The second guy told me he didn't care that it wasn't the right year, plate or vin and i would have to pay to get it back no matter what... needless to say, the state police were not happy with him. I'm glad to see there are professionals out there...

We have problems in our city not with repo men but with the towing companies. They're unregulated and out of control. There are a couple of legitimate companies but most of them are downright criminal. They'll tow legally parked cars all the time and their prices are outrageously high. These guys are making $850 a tow and if you argue with them they can tack on a $200 "asshole fee" as they call it.

+jshdwhite79 yep! the worst is when a tow company is partnered up with the city! i had my car towed on a residential street with no signs saying you can't park there, the car was not blocking a driveway, not on a painted curb, not in front of a fire hydrant. I assumed my car was stolen so i went to the police department to report it. the cop that was helping me said "oh yeah we got it...you weren't supposed to park there" I tried arguing saying there were no signs saying you couldn't park there. Ended up paying 400 dollars to get my car out of the tow yard.

I don't feel bad for her. She's probably 60-90 days behind and been given several chances to get caught up. Lenders don't just come repo cars on a payment only a few days late....
Exactly. It costs money to repo a car...they're don't do it right away. Also, if something terrible happens and you can't afford the payment you can call the lender and work out an extension.
exactly, you need to miss a few payments and on top of that dodge the collectors calling you 800 times a day before they send a repo team out
You never know a person’s situation. Hard times can fall on the best, some people just aren’t good at problem solving. But, yes, some people deliberately manipulate the system.
@@BUSTABR0WN exactly, people always assume the worst scenario. In some states if you miss one payment they can come get your car, its not automatically being several payments behind. Its pretty simple though, banks who finance high risk people with their predatory loans will yank your car asap while the more popular common banks will try to work with you.
Depends on the dealer. Mine did this to me. I was working over 60 hours a week at the time and so I just forgot about it, only 2 days late and they came and got. Didn't take the credit hit thankfully but I had to pay like 2k to get it back which sucked

If you can't afford it, don't buy it...The bank doesn't want your car, just go down to speak to a loan officer and make arrangements to keep the car before this happens to you. Ignoring them does you no good. I never pay more than $5,000.00 for my cars. I stopped buying a new car years ago. My ego is proportional to my budget.

I've never paid more than 3k before repairs for a vehicle. Last year I bought an '06 Hyundai Tucson for $2,700. This year, a '92 GMC Yukon for $3,000. I thought about buying an '08 Silverado for 9k at a dealer but why bother?
Hate sometimes people fall on hard times ,a 4 to 6 year loan on a car or truck ,alot can happen to ones life in that time frame,please don't judge folks,, I had a car on loan list my job three years later ,called the bank and told them to come get their car,it took them over 6 months to finally get it

You know I've never once seen you set a camera even though you get all these great views of everything you're doing. To think that you are also setting up these camera's in addition to all the work involved in the repo, you really have it down to an art.
I've had a couple of repos in my past. And they were absolutely deserved. I was very late and had made no attempt to contact anyone. These finance companies don't want your car. They want your money. Repossession is a last resort.

funny how they cant make a payment, so car gets repoed, but when the tow truck shows up they all the sudden can make a payment.

WOW why all the hateful comments? No matter what you think he is or isn't doing, fact is failure to pay what they PROMISED to pay got them in this situation. Don't like people taking your stuff or going on your property? Then pay your bills. I do feel sorry for these people. Losing your car is a traumatic thing but these videos are good to show the reality of it and what happens when you don't pay.

Spending money they don't have. I'd rather just call the bank and tell them they can have it back. Yes I've done that. Sometimes it's best to just let it go.
sell the car that you clearly can't afford... that would be a start. And get rid of your damn credit cards....

Scotty C Well you have two options. Do own a car you can't buy and be in debt by say 10,000$. Or you sell the car for 7,000$ and be in debt by 3,000$.
Being in debt by 3k is cheaper than 10k.

Guess what slappy ? Jeeps have been that way since back when AMC owned them. I can all but gaurantee you I've seen more failures on jeeps due to not following the maint. schedules than anything else. Btw...why is it I see chevy & ford 1/2 tons with 200,000+ miles on them, original motor, trans & transfer cases and I've yet to see a ram (dodge) with 150,000 that has not had at least a short block put in it ? Kinda makes you wonder, don't it princess ?

I had my truck repossessed last year. I had talked to the finance company that morning, and they said I had a couple of days before it would get picked up. couple hours later, the tow truck was there. The driver was friendly enough, and put up with me being pissed off. These guys have a hard job sometimes.

Years ago I delivered fuel oil for home heating, It was interesting to see people who owed $900 and had Cadillac cars, new pickup trucks, travel trailers in their yards. We were allowed to pick up money, as company drivers. I left with Grandma's SS check and a wad of cash before I could deliver 150 gallons of fuel that might last 2 weeks. It's a strange world out there, people spend $ for non-essentials and then cannot pay for what they truly need.
Is it safe to assume that repeated attempts by the finance co have been made to collect the car payments? If so, why is the debtor surprised and outraged when the repo man comes for the car?

Locksmithing is a secondary trade as you can imagine in my line of work so I am very well aware of how quickly these and most locking mechanisms can be superseded by people who know what's up. It's really just intended to slow the other 99.9% down long enough for me to get my hands on them lol. All locks are a joke for the most part but it's better than not using one at all. Barely but still worth the $10.

Repo man took my sisters car by mistake. She was 8 months pregnant and had sudden complications. Ambulance didn't get her to hospital in time and she lost the baby. 3 months later she took her own life. Thanks repo nut.
