Seriously I think your the only one that talked about the fact you can set options in the infotainment to whatever icon you want so that it really just becomes one touch away. Fixing the fact that it's a one to one pad and not a touchscreen. Most reviewers just complain about how they can't learn how to use it, cause its not a mouse pad and gloss over that details. Keep up the great reviews.
This format is really working. Many channels dedicate this same runtime to review the entire car while you focused only on the interior. Great! The only omissions, IMO, were the standard sized roof (many competitors have pano) and the lack of USB ports in the back seat. This review goes a long way to show just how lazy the IS refresh was.
Great review! I agree with you on everything you mentioned about the interior, the ride, handling, stereo, etc!! I ended up buying this TLX Advance with the exact same trim and color on 5/22/21 and just love it!! You two convinced me and so glad I went for it!! Love the different driving modes...Sport mode is a blast and this motor really has plenty of power!!! We are going for the MDX next, as soon as we can find one. The chip shortage is making that a chore! I had a 5-Series in the same color config and it was a great car but this one is better for a lot of reasons. Reliability being at the top of that list. The BMW left me stranded 3 times, which is 3 times more than my Honda's and Acura's combined over the past 25 yrs!!
Congrats on your new TLX David! I'm so glad the video helped you decide and I hope you continue to enjoy it for a long time! Good luck finding an MDX, we were really impressed with it as well!
I like watching these reviews due to getting both perspectives...The passenger and the driver...Matt should try to get her authorized to drive so we can get her perspective on driving as well.
As much as i want them to offer a 3 pedal version, unfortunately the way they designed the dash and center console, clearly Honda/Acura have committed themselves with only the automatic version...
Damn this is pretty impressive, iv always liked the look of the Acura interiors but they don’t feel as good. So I’m happy that they’ve really taken their stuff to the next level. Excited to your you driving review! Love the vids as always!
13:52 Almost seems like you're instructing people to stick their nickels in the power outlet, not the coin holder....bzzappp! Anyway, I have to say you made this interior review almost as exciting as a test drive. Love how you go off on knee padding and ceiling speakers! And Beth is totally right about having more wood. If you think about it, most luxury brands use wood only as accents and it makes them look cheap, which is the opposite of what they're trying to do.
I saw a very emotional connection to the 2021 TLX from Beth. It might be time to open up the wallet again for a new automotive addition to your family. Nice and refreshing review, thanks.
Well done Matt and your really beautiful wife. Awesome car, and really enjoyed your review... just continue to date to be different on review of every vehicles as object as possible by giving the facts and some of your emotions, and not you expect because most RUclipsrs want All cars to be the same.
@@MattMaranMotoring Thanks for the reply Matt, I'll watch your driving review of the car, hopefully that reveals your average MPG, as I'm considering purchasing this car. tried to get a K5 GT, but they can't be found anywhere. Actually it's hard to find anything right now.
Acura TLX is a compact luxury sedan? I thought that was the ILX? That's why it's cabin space so small compared with the infiniti Q50 or the Lexus ES/GS. The RLX is the best choice, but more expensive...right?
A 50k sedan with no back seat and a 4 banger (although it's a good one) I checked one out and found it cramped inside especially the rear seats. If your legs are long and have the front seat back the rear seat is probably good for a small child. The Accord Touring 2.0 is a better value and has a huge back seat
Honestly I can kind of see the interior start to look outdated in a few years. In my opinion the infotainment system should be touch screen. I feel like it's more distracting to use that little pad thing to control it. Even more if you don't know how to use it
Android Auto without a touchscreen is a disaster. So many options are not possible because you cant access without a touchscreen. Acura TLX is off my list now because of this.
@Raschaud Farmer Yea, you might be right. Prejudging is not a good policy, however, every car (like mine) i tried who did not have a touchscreen could not do everything a touchscreen car could do.
@@paddle_shift2020 acura ILX A Spec...I thought I wouldn't like it til I after a nice trip to the mountains in Virginia. I drove 2 months before taking the same trip with a 2019 CRV with touch screen and found the nob design less involved with accidental touches, no look easy to memorize which keeps my eyes on the road.
@@robertblack6630 Thanks! I have an Audi and it does not have a touchscreen only a knob with touchpad. If i get a nitification, or a Google "recommendation", i cannot swipe it away. If i had a missed call from some random person, when i plug my phone in and launch AA, that missed call will show up even though it may have happened 6 hours earlier and i cant swipe away. My girlfriend will say "who's Sally?" So annoying!
Am I the only one that thinks they could’ve placed that hazards button somewhere else integrated into that infotainment system. It looks like they finished the design and said “oh shit we forgot the hazard button!”
"If your going to have wood, have wood"...words to live by❗
One does not simply have a choice in the mornings.
"If you're going to spell "you're", spell it correctly"...words to live by.
Wood, in a one inch space can definitely be a problem.

I enjoy these interior reviews, too. Also like the weekly auto news updates. Other YT reviewers just spew out a bunch of gibberish.
Thanks, I’m glad you like it! I agree, pano roof and USB jacks in the back would be nice.
Interior reminds me of the NSX. The swooping lines and buttons. Looks like a nice place to be.
This interior seems as nice as anything in class and at a significantly lower price. Maybe Acura finally has a winner!?
@Raschaud Farmer Lova ya man! I think we can agree on this one anyway!

This Fathom Blue Pearl color looks amazing! I love this blue & gray color combo!
7:48 Yes! Thank you! We sales associates go unnoticed lol. I can spend literal hours going over stuff so people understand everything.
Or we could just watch videos on RUclips which are better and more comprehensive...
I wish they still made Acura with manual transmissions
It keeps me from buying new ones. Still keep my 09 TSX cause Honda trans are incredible.

Sexist.
I didn’t know 12 ur olds could get married
@@mrsj1417 people like you are the problem.
The interior is a big upgrade from the last gen. 💪🏼 the upcoming MDXs interior is very exciting too!
A manual would be so nice for the new TLX especially the Type S!
Would be nice if people actually bought them.
No one would buy it. Everyone would say 50 grand I'll buy a typer or any other manual car lol then it dies out and we're back to square one.
3 people would buy one new
As much as i want them to offer a 3 pedal version, unfortunately the way they designed the dash and center console, clearly Honda/Acura have committed themselves with only the automatic version...
That would be incredible for both buyers... I’m a manual lover, but my manual TSX was not a big seller, sadly. I still dream of a new manual Acura.
The interior in the new TLX is looking really nice!
Can’t wait to see you take it for a drive!
Tomorrow
i feel like matt needs to give beth half the script

Credit to Acura for putting in the effort for a nice new sedan

I think as long as you have to plug in your phone to use CarPlay or Android Auto, wireless charging is kind of pointless.
Yeah! It's only nice if the car also has wireless CarPlay/Android Auto.
Hi Beth! Hi Matt! Thanks for another good review.
But the real question is... when you start up or power down the car does it do the super cool animations from the RDX?
Yes
It does! I love those!
bravo to Acura for keeping the AUX input! Honda has phased them out in their newer cars.
My practical side is saying is it worth being a half second quicker than the Accord touring hybrid for half the mpg?
15:03 it’s amazing that Acura were to believe such interview results. Didn’t they learn from the success of 3 series/S60/ES from getting roomier?
can the rear headrests fold down? Or can they be removed?
Such a beautiful couple... God is GOOD!!!
Looks pretty futuristic to me, like it !!
Thank you for testing the Advance model TLX..

Can you disable auto dimming mirrors outside?
I’m really liking this car.
Wireless charger in my Stinger works every time and charge the phone pretty quick
Where is the shift stick?
The Trip Computer display is readying an avg of 15.4 mpg? Had the car been drag raced the past 6 miles?
No, it's because it was idling while I filmed the interior, which quickly drags down the average when it only has 6 miles on the trip.

Can someone tell me the material that shiny black part by gear buttons are made of? is it piano black palstic?
wish it had a power tilt/telescoping steering wheel
Wow, I see a stunner here
Absolutely beautiful and the car is nice too!
She is pure sex
Just what I want, 1/3 of my screen showing a clock instead of carplay which also has a clock

You hear that boys? If you have wood don't just have it be one inch 😂
bruh a pop socket is way too thick for wireless charging
Yeah I don't think there's a such thing as a pop socket compatible with wireless charging
Love from NJ.
does the trackpad still make tambourine noises
Only when you swipe through the split screen options.
But you can disable the noise if you want
Maybe its because its a crapple phone and they only want you to use crapple wireless chargers?? LOL!!
The ambient lighting would have looked more beautiful if there were connected as one strip.
