    • @aman.khan22
      @aman.khan22 3 года назад +3

      @@doomgrave1 The 8 speed dual clutch in the TLX was much smoother and quicker to shift than the ancient 6 speed auto in my Lexus. The seats were alot more comfortable in the TLX. A lot more leg room and space in general. better Gas mileage, having memory seats, etc. Im def nitpicking lol but all those things matter over time in a daily driver. With that said I would probably still pick the IS due to its exterior and interior design, its just to sexy to me.

    • @doomgrave1
      @doomgrave1 3 года назад +1

      @@aman.khan22 great comparison! Thanks for sharing. I'm debating between Lexus and acura. 2016 Acuras are about $5k cheaper than a comparable Lexus IS so I'm tempted to stick to Acura.

      @@aman.khan22 what did you think of the i4 engine power in the tlx?

    • @aman.khan22
      @aman.khan22 3 года назад +1

      @@doomgrave1 Here’s the thing about the engines. There’s definitely pros and cons to both. The pros of that 4 cylinder in the Acura was that it actually produced the same horsepower at the 2.5 v6 in my Lexus rn. And and gas mileage was ALOT better. I got like 27 combined in the Acura ON REGULAR GAS. Whereas in the Lexus, the 2.5 v6 has the same like 200 horsepower, but with those extra cylinders I avg about 21mpg on PREMIUM, so my fill ups are like $40 lol and I have to fill up more often, however the pros of the v6 in the Lexus Is that it’s much smoother than the Acura 4 cylinder, literally buttery smooth, and sounds a lot better, and is one of their most bulletproof engines due to how ancient it is and the high maintenance care it requires. Logically the Acura makes the most sense, but I still don’t regret my decision. Hope that helps!

    Drove both this and the 2021 IS 350 AWD. Ended up with the IS - it just drives and feels so much more premium. Plus how can you beat the sound of an NA engine (although slightly pumped through the speakers) - you can't.

    • @MeynMotorGroup

      @@MeynMotorGroup Please line up a review for the 2021 IS! The TLX A-Spec in Canada doesn't get the Adaptive Damper System whereas my IS does (Adaptive Variable Suspension). It's truly something else.

    This car desperately needs pilot sport all season 4. I put those on my accord, and the grip and steering transformed... It's more direct and communicative. Imagine those on this car. ... Yeah, I wish honda wasn't so conservative with tires.

    • @alexl.102

      @@alexl.102 I have the v6 in my accord. There's less torque steer, more grip, and more responsiveness in the dry and wet. They're not great in the snow, but they're doing nicely here in New York. Maybe for summer tires I'll get the pilot sport 4s on 19s... I can only imagine the behavior of those

    Hey man, my car decision is coming down to 3.3t Stinger or this A-Spec TLX. They are the same price where I live. In your experience, which car rides smoother on broken horrible pavement better? Also did the new 2021 Stinger you tested have any creaks/rattles? I currently have a 2018 C300 which creaks and rattles like an old wooden boat, so really trying to avoid that with my next car, it drives me crazy

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  3 года назад +3

      Hey my friend I would choose the TLX for sure ride is smoother and interior is far more rigid. Stinger will begin to rattle after a year of ownership but the 2021 Stinger did get revised suspension so it's much better than the 2018. Still, TLX is my choice

      All it does in most cars is put you in a lower gear and waste more fuel because 95% of the time you're just going to be cruising at 45 mph. In sport mode you will be churning like 2500 rpms as opposed to like 1700 rpm in normal mode. Just wasting fuel for that 1% opportunity of needing power. I want cars to be reactive enough in normal
