  • I review the 2016 Acura TLX V6 with the Super Handling AWD system. While it was advertised as a sporty performance sedan back when it debuted, the reality is that compared to the competitors, the Acura was far from the sportiest, even with some unique technology on board, but for those that are just looking for a good value in the used luxury sedan segment, the TLX should be a reliable and lower-maintenance option compared to many of it's competitors and is still a nice car to live with if you have the right expectations. What do you think about the 2016 Acura TLX? Thanks to Harrison Auto Sales for providing this vehicle to review! It is currently for sale and the listing can be viewed here: www.harrisonautos.com/details...

I just got this same exact color combination but in the 4 cylinder dual clutch version. Not the quickest but according to my research , the dual clutch transmission is way more reliable than the transmission that comes in the v6. I’m so happy with it and for the price they go for now , you cannot go wrong.

The 2.4 TLX was definitely the one to go for since the DCT was just so phenomenal and it was built in house by Honda/Acura. Amazing transmission that they could have put in the V6 models. The ZF 9-speed isn't bad, but the main problem is how jerky it shifted, it's not very responsive, and it used a dog clutch, which definitely did not help.

I have a 2016 TLX Tech (4 cylinder). About 45k miles. Have not had one problem with it. I do regular oil changes and have changed the transmission fluid once. Still using the original brakes. However I have gone through lots of batteries but that may be due to my location in Arizona. As you mentioned in the video, the only downside is the very slow and outdated navigation. I have paid to update the maps once. I just use my phone nav now when I need to. It is still very quiet and has plenty of power to drive around the urban jungle. Thanks for reviewing an older Acura!

I love this TLX honestly ~ The interior is definitely old, but it's simple to use and you get a lot of standard equipment in typical Acura fashion. The dual screens are different but I actually think they are useful. And that glorious Honda 3.5L V6 is amazing. The VTEC is amazing and the sound is very nice. I just wish the dual clutch that the 4 cylinder model had was in the V6 model, but you know the ZF 9-speed is definitely going to get the job done for most.

I have 2015 V6 AWD Elite of this. Except for questionable sales advise at start with warranty on demo car and a burned transmission, the car ages well. When a transmission blows up, you can forget the price of repair / value of car ratio that many use to advocate scrapping and starting over with new payments on new car... Repair it and keep it as long as you can. Compared to buying a new car, exploding 1 engine and 2 transmission every 2 years would still be cost-effective!
