Since most modern sedans have big, sloping back windows and tiny trunk lids, I wish more companies would just go ahead and make them hatchbacks like the Audi A5 or Kia Stinger. That way you get at least some of the utility of a crossover while keeping the better driving dynamics of a sedan with lower center of gravity. Maybe they're still remembering when they tried selling hatchbacks in the eighties and no one wanted them. Now, no one wants sedans - so maybe people would go for a hatch. I would.

I decided to get a 20 Accord Touring recently instead of waiting for the new TLX. The trim I was wanting was at least the A-spec but it's the Advance trim that comes with all the bell and whistle tho which is what I wanted as well.
I don't like to spend a lot of money when it comes to cars cause they deappreciate do fast. For me to grab a 20 Accord Touring for only $32K was a steal. All that luxury and drive in a reasonable price was a no brainier. For me to get something like this from the TLX would of had me around $47K. That's $15K depending if you could find a dealership willing to take anything off the all new TLX from the get go. Even if they could you are still looking at around a $10K at the minimal. To me it's not worth it just for a bolder look, nicer audio, and the badge. Not only that Acura vehicles tends to have you use premium gas for no apparent reason when it's the same engine as their Honda counterpart minus a bigger turbo or so.

Great and fun review. Love how you incorporate the family. The TLX is a beautiful vehicle. The back seat of the Honda Accord has far more room and would be much more comfortable for a family. The Accord’s overall length is also surprisingly shorter than the TLX. This allows it to fit in the garage a little better. Great video and editing!

Where to start.... Gooseneck trunk hinges(with a bulky cover) on a $40K car? Multilink hinges (like on your 5/5/20 Camaro review) can save a lot of space. Hunt and peck climate controls when eliminating the smudge panels would give room for a much more intuitive "eyes stay on the road" 3 knob system? (Really, most experienced drivers could figure out a 3 knob system pretty well without looking at all.) Otherwise, it looks like a nice upscale cruiser.

Barely sees freeway lines, can't handle anything beyond a minimal curve, and randomly deactivates if it has a minimum of "where are the stripes??" Very dissappinted in this system. Hello everyone! So i have some bad news for everyone that has a TLX, ILX and RDX. Not sure about the MDX but i am 100 percent sure almost all if not all of these models Re leaking from rear main seal! My new 19 ILX did and now my new 21 TLX does. Also had an RDX for a month it suffered from same problem this is not a coincidence. But... guess what heres the sad and toxic part. All of these cars had a slight smell coming through vents. Mostly when fan is on without AC. When motor is started and idling,etc.... get check asap. Look for small amounts of oil near fly wheel cover. And if youve been smelling oil fumes your not going crazy. The first vehicle this happened on was my new 19 ILX from the start, new. I had it upto 16,000km. Brought in for warranty rear main seal. They have to take tranny out to do. And change motor oil. Well... i got home the head mechanic didnt tighten motor oil drain plug! Oil all over lol. I do all of my own maintenence so this broke my heart, and if this wasnt bad enough. Then wife driving it home from work. Massive transmission failure she lost power when driving home from work. They put transmission in wrong. Traded it in for new 21 TLX. Exact same problem. :( pretty sad. What happens next we will see. This is real. Check it out everyone now. I guarantee youll probably find something, also these are toxic fumes. I am the one that has and will start this mass recall!!!

I didn't need to own/lease this car to know very quickly what I would be in for in the long haul:
The steering is ridiculously sharp and responsive (especially on the SH-AWD), the powertrain delivers quick and strong acceleration, the driving position is good, and the craftsmanship is far superior to the 1st-Gen TLX.
However, and a BIG HOWEVER, for a (now) Acura flagship sports sedan, the ride is unbearable (at least on the TLX Tech Package without the Adaptive Dampers that come only on Advance Package models). On New England city roads, the new TLX rode so stiff, I thought I was in my colleagues Ford Mustang (minus the refinement)... that's how rough the ride was. Having lease a 1st-Gen TLX, and know how refined (albeit, less sporty) the ride was, Acura hit no middle-ground here.
In comparison, I drove an Audi A5 Sportback prior to the new TLX and that was the kind of ride-quality I was expecting out of this new TLX: tight but with some dampening, and certainly never jarring. Considering how much bigger the TLX is compared to the A5 (it's closer to the A7 in dimensions), I'm amazed at how much worse the ride was.
Another side note: the road noise from the tires was also very intrusive.
I'm highly disappointed, as I had an amazing lease deal on the table and I just couldn't pull the trigger. It was a car I wanted to love and I couldn't.
PLEASE... if you're considering it, make sure your test drive isn't just on freshly-paved highways... request a back-road route as well!

It looks so good from the front, but then they gave up by the time they got to the back, it's so boring at the back

I saw one in person (a silver A-spec) and they look so much better in person. I actually liked how the back looked more than the front.

And you're drag racing every week? 272hp with a 10 speed is plenty of power for most drivers. Oh and the TLX is WAY sexier than the Accord

I on this car 2021 Acura TLX a spec it’s a really nice car from the outside inside super luxurious put on the other side it’s a horrible car to have a family in it we have a one-year-old car seat at the rear facing towards the back of the car and my wife literally has about 10 inches of legroom in total before she’s hitting the glove box with her knees she always writes the passenger side because I don’t fit in that size I’m only 5.8she is 5.5 again don’t buy this if you have a family we hate it we need to get out of it and buy a different car a bigger car this car is so cramped the passenger seat is the last slimmer so you got no leg room to the sides it’s pretty horrible and it looks nice

According to J.D. Power research data, 65% of TLX buyers are men, matching the average for the Compact Premium Car segment. They are slightly older than average (58 years of age vs. 56), and they're making less money than average

It looks just like the previous model, with new taillights. And the interior is so BUSY (lines and curves and pieces and materials and stitching and junk everywhere). If you had to have an Acura I'd get the new MDX.
