- Want the latest AMD drivers without waiting on Asus? This guide will show you how to install the AMD drivers as well as roll back to the Asus drivers if the AMD ones aren't working out.

My amd app vanished from the apps list as I went to uninstall it, moved on anyway and everything works as shown in the video 👍🏼

Brah! I just want you to know that this information should go to EVERY new Lenovo Legion GO user. We have had nothing but issues with the graphics driver. Nothing runs correctly at all and I wanted to return it. NOW, because of this, the Legion Go plays everything including Starfield. wow. I cant thank you enough! subbed and liked.

Hello, just one question: after this process when a new driver is available the system is still detecting automatically or you need to search from time to time the new software on AMD website?

CCC was Catalyst Control Center from the ATI days. Brings back old memories of my HD4850 which was a decent gpu for around $200 back then. How times have changed.

I had all the recent updates and I was having issues with RPSC3. Every time I tried to install it , I would receive a weird fatal error and the PS3 emulator would not work. After doing this AMD Driver/software update , I finally was able to get the PS3 emulator to work on the ROG Ally. Thank You !

Just wanted to say this worked on my Lenovo Legion Go, thank you! Only criticism I have is that you should've added a DDU section or an optional part to help people clear the old drivers properly in case they do this again in the future or if the ASUS/Lenovo ones leave things around

Excellent video! I’ve been running the latest drivers and all seem to run well. Will you be doing a comparison with the latest bios? I guess that’s too late bios 330 and 331 lol.
Persona 5 Royal's graphics used to freak out in certain areas and the game would crash with Asus drivers. Installing this AMD driver fixed it for me.

I had to hard reset my rog ally because I lost my driver 🤣… I appreciate the video, since this video two months old do not do this my rog community !!
What should we do then? My rog ally keeps freezing even playing Fortnite. The game freezes and even the windows as well.

Beta driver works great too
For those playing Destiny 2 with this driver, I'd recommend to stay at 4002. I saw an fps decrease of about 10 to 15 frames with the manual driver install and had to rollback. Other games as Lies of P were a bit better.

I do not get the 780 driver on the list of drivers I have no clue what's I'm fdoing wrong
For me the registry file for 900p doesn't work as is anymore, for some reason I have to open with notepad and on the 3rd line last numbers I have to change from 0000 to 0020

If you will have the opportunity to test the latest AMD drivera let me know, apparently Alan wake 2 stopped working after the latest patch 1.0.13 and there is no way to make it work again without having this AMD drivers. Same for Avatar 🥲

Thanks. I used this guide to update my AMD driver for my Go. It's a lot better now. I'm not sure why Lenovo didn't have this ready from the get go. The performance is now comparable to the Ally but with VRR you don't need to try that hard. It's still not super smooth on the Go even with v-sync. I need to do more testing in the coming weeks tho.

Hey, I ended up getting a Legion Go. What are your thoughts on the joystick responsiveness? To me it feels like after about 35-45% pressed there is a very quick ramp up. I tested a bunch of games and it makes finer aiming pretty difficult. Another thing I noticed on the joysticks is as it get's close the max range it feels like it looses tension, so it's not an even pressure all the way through.
@@filt3rless sweet! Yeah I'm not a fan of the joysticks at this time. Something seems off. I haven't had a chance to do any testing yet tho.
Not sure if you know but there will be a display driver update very soon and even a bigger update on the 10th. I don't like the Legion buttons at this time at all. Hopefully someone could find a way to stop Legion Space from loading up every time. You can't easily stop it at this time.
@@filt3rless just a small update that I changed the vram to 4GB and it's a lot better now. It's now smooth when playing Forza Horizon 5. I'm not sure why they had 3GB as default smh. I'm playing on 1200p on med and I'm getting around 80fps but locked it in to 72fps tho with v-sync.
@@volcalstone Yeah, it doesn't help that it overrides all the windows until it's fully loaded. I'm sure Lenovo will improve it over time just like on the Ally :)
I keep getting “ the version of the amd software you have launched is not compatible with current amd driver “! How do I fix this?
So mine doesn’t have Graphics at the end in the list at all for the TM 780M it only has TM 780M

I had to completely reset my rog when I installed the amd drivers, it only ran games at around 10 - 15fps max even when I selected the right settings on device manager. it didn’t let me roll back the drivers on the my asus app since there was no option since the app got updated and the driver selection is no longer there
So I was doing this an I didn’t find my driver folder to delete it so what do I do
