I dont know if others had the same issue but after i have done everything exactly as this video shows, i went to adrenalin software and my graphics card was inticated as having only 512MB of Ram. I tried to run a game and it was choppy as hell because of that. After a few minutes i thought of looking in armory crate where i had the GPU memory setting to AUTO and i changed it to 6 GB of Ram which later was also indicated in the adrenalin software as well. So in conclution, after the update, i suppose that the AUTO feature in the memory settings of armory crate, doesnt work anymore and you have to set it yourself.

Why do I keep getting dll errors the drivers is missing can’t find a way to download just opened console yesterday and already going to return it back to Best Buy
New to PC and handhelds. For the new amd driver 24.8.1 update, do I need to follow this video again to get this update? When I check for updates in the amd app on the ally x, it says it’s up to date with 24.7.1. And when I try to open the downloaded 24.8.1, I get the same window/message as we got at 6:54. Thanks for all your help and awesome video for people like me!
@timgaffney5521 In general I'd say if you can wait for asus to update the drivers and release them in armory crate (the update center part of it). Unless the latest drivers have something to make a newly released game work, or if you have an egpu there is no need to update. You should be able to update using this video though.

Delete the amd folder and remove the graphics driver (the same as at start of the video). You can go to the asus rog ally sight and download their drivers (should be a similar process) alternatively after deleting the drivers go in to armory crate update center and check for updates and see if it gives you the option of installing the graphics driver from there
