Hi, Team today's workout is a 30-minute Fat Burning Jump Rope Workout you can do at home. We are doing Basic Bounce and Boxer Step for 30-sec work with 10-sec rest. It's all about building endurance today so take your time in building up to this if you are fairly new to jump rope training. Use the 60 sec rest period to stretch your calf and Achilles tendon.

Guys, DO this workout in the MORNING. TRUST me on this. And the short 10 second breaks ARE SO EFFECTIVE. Here's my detailed morning verdict after doing it for 3 straight days and counting: I find myself feeling a lot more energetic. I was definitely a bit scared at first about whether or not I would have enough energy to do 30 seconds straight with a short break so bright and early (or rather, dark and early cos the days are getting shorter here in Canada) ... but honestly, if anything, in the morning, I felt MORE energetic doing the 30 sec intervals. And the 10 second break is IDEAL: like I get enough time to catch my breath and I STILL have adrenaline and energy pumping through my veins to continue the next rep. Besides, there is a 30 second break anyway after 3 reps, as well as a whole 1 minute break after each round, so it's not like we aren't getting ANY opportunities to take a break. During that 1 minute break is, as per the instructions, when I go and grab some water or sit down for a bit before getting back up and again.
I haven't done the full workout yet as I am still building up my strength but in 3 rounds, I burn MORE calories than I do in the workouts with the 15/ 20 seconds. I was NOT expecting that so that was definitely a super pleasant surprise! I get my workout done, burn a ton of calories, and get ready for the day! Winter, literally, your jump rope videos are a LIFESAVER. It's like 10 AM and I am feeling SO energized thanks to your workout!
And a bonus: I just tried on a Size Large sweater of mine and it is TOO big for me now :o Winter, I will admit: I am primarily doing your videos for mental health and well being and the aesthetics and fat loss for me are a bonus. My diet isn't the worst but certainly FAR from the best (I am not watching portions, I still eat my favourite desserts, and we eat South Asian takeout which have a ton of calories) so DESPITE that, the fact that I am Alhamdullillah losing unwanted body fat in only 3 months and counting is evidence of how effective your jump rope workouts are. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, WINTER AND YOUR PHOENIX NATION!

Hey Kristina sorry to hear that you have been going through a hard time with body image. My best advice is to focus on you what food makes you feel good (as in healthy food choices) and exercise. Keeping a journal can help you get on the right track as well. Stay safe and be kind to yourself. And when you find a style of fitness that you enjoy it will become like brushing your teeth... 💖

Okay, fellow fitsters, here's my DETAILED Sunday night/ Monday morning verdict from your fellow millenial trying to make it in today's world: this was very enjoyable, just as I expected! Sundays are super busy as I am sure is the case for many of you out there so despite doing chores, cooking, wrapping up the garbage, dishes and all the fun stuff, this workout is exactly what I need on a Sunday night to get that burst of energy to sustain me for a couple of hours of project work and wrapping things up before embarking upon the week InshaAllah.
What I loved:
- the short(er) number of rounds: in a 30 minute video, only 5 rounds is sweet. I know a lot of people like to break up their workouts into multiple rounds to make it easier for them but for me, I am finding that I prefer the lesser number of rounds because psychologically, I know then that my workout is over for the time being after the 5th round, haha.
- the music: the variety of music used in this video was unexpected and definitely a pleasant surprise that I didn't know I needed, haha! Like as I was exercising to the tempo, I notice the nature of the music change and I am like "hey, that's a different beat!" And it gave me a whole other rush. That definitely amped up my workout! So that's a plus for sure.
- the short breaks of only 10 seconds: this is definitely one of my most favourite aspects. Given that the intervals are only 30 seconds, 10 seconds is PLENTY to rest before embarking upon the next interval.
What I would recommend: at this point, honestly, Winter, please keep on making these longer workouts! Alhamdullillah I am noticing a marked improvement in my quality of life thanks to your endurance workouts - SERIOUSLY! - and it's amazing just how much a daily 30 - 45 minute workout positively influences me. Thank you SO much for these world-class videos, Winter and Darin. Seriously, these are a global GAME CHANGER. The fact that you guys have positive comments from people ALL over the world are testament to the fact that you guys are incredible :)
I have a couple of requests, like which music, which jump rope move, etc. but I will make those comments on the specific relevant videos so that it's easier for you to know exactly what I am talking about.

Oh you are welcome lovely. I have many workout videos where you will see me stretching my calves during the break. It's often a standing version as I don't always have access to a wall or step which is also a great variation when I am filming. Hi, i really love your videos! It’s really inspiring especially for a new beginner like me. But , just want to know, is it normal/usual that a beginner will get a sole feet pain? Or is it possible due to bad posture or wrong technique of the way of jumping/landing the feet? Hopefully you will respond to my question🙏🙏🙏
If you feel pain then you need to rest and stop what you are doing that is aggravating it then slowing introduce it back in. Do you know what exercise you were doing that caused it?
Hello Miss Phoenix. Your abs is so inspiring. I really love your videos. I just did the 20 minute skipping, following your previous vlog 30 sec skipping, 10 sec rest. I cant keep up with 10 seconds ( I tap 10 sec back after 5 sec rest to make it into 15 sec rest) . Can you do 15 sec rest? I would really appreciate it if you do.

I generally eat either 2 hours before or will have something light before I train. I don't like to have too much food in my stomach before training

You just know only basic bounce and boxer step or also other jumps ? Please make it more entertaining by changing here and there jumps in videos
Check out my other videos… when it comes to endurance workouts the basics are the most popular. My videos are just a suggestion you can always adjust to suit your own fitness level
