This is nice that you all are now offering these because the ford performance ones are next to impossible to get since they’re always out of stock
This is why we pursued our own driveshaft. -Landan
Thank you guys for everything you do. It's greatly appreciated.
Awesome video, looks like a great product, a real must have, you guys never disappoint.
Great video! Good job Landon! Y’all never disappoint!
Thanks! -Landan
Just installed one I got from you. Really surprised at how much that SOTP meter felt.
I also removed the donkey nuts. Nothing like dropping 30lbs.
Sound like yall are getting another order from me.
I got an aluminum driveshaft from *cough* a competitor... needless to say, it out of the box is causing vibrations. Can't return it because it was a Christmas gift and is past the return date.
Thank you!
Why don't you go have it balanced? A lot cheaper than buying an entirely new one, sometimes one gets shipped out that didn't get a balance. Then see if the company will reimburse you for the balancing. Any good company should, I've seen it happen before.
As mentioned by another user, find a local shop in your area to rebalance your driveshaft. That's definitely the more cost-effective route. -Landan
Nice! Would these driveshafts work on modified mustangs? I have a 95 with a Tremec T56 Magnum and an IRS from a 99 Cobra. Or will i have to go with a custom shaft? Thanks Landan and the LMR Team💪
The two driveshafts in this video won't work for your application. I would recommend reaching out to a company that builds driveshafts and give them your measurements. Hope this helps. We appreciate the sincere feedback. -Landan
@@latemodelrestoration thanks bro💪
Is there going to be an option for the IRS equipped (non-Terminator) cars? Thanks!
At this time, I'm unsure of what we will offer in the future. I'll forward this mention to our product team so they can review it. Thanks! -Landan
Can you just spray and wipe off with some brake clean to clean area before spraying?
Yeah, I've done that before. Alcohol works better, though, since some brake cleaners can leave a residue. -Landan
@@latemodelrestorationOk, thanks for the reply Landan.
Do you have one that will fit the automatic transmission?
What automatic transmission do you have? -Landan
@latemodelrestoration It's the 4r70w
@@undeadbrosm41a39 The 4R70W and 4R75W had a specific yoke. You can either transfer your existing yoke or purchase a new one. We're currently in the process of setting up the 4R70W/4R75W style yoke. If this is the route you want to take, keep an eye out on our website under the "Just Added" category. -Landan
@@latemodelrestoration Thanks!
Anything for automatics S550’s?
We don't have anything in the SVE line, but we do offer driveshafts from other manufacturers that fit an automatic S550. Link below. -Landan
lmr.com/products/2015-Mustang-Aluminum-Driveshafts
Did they do for the 05-09 v6 ???
We currently do not have an SVE aluminum driveshaft option for the year range and engine that you specified. I'll forward this to our product team. Thanks! -Landan
@@latemodelrestorationnice please make them 🙌🏻
Yeah but y'all never have them in stock for the 87-93 28 spline. I've been trying to get one for a while
You're probably talking about the Ford Performance driveshafts. We've had stocking issues on those for the past 4-5 years it seems like. Because of this, we pursued our own driveshaft. -Landan
The slip yoke tends to leak, I’ve gone through 2 of them over warranty
Then more than likely it's your tail shaft bushing in the transmission. With the slip yoke in the back of the transmission try moving the slip yoke up and down, then side to side, if you feel more than a barely noticeable movement that bushing needs to be replaced and is causing the leak you're having.
@@nunya2814 I’ve replaced the bushing and seal. I pulled the DS out and sprayed with brake clean inside the yoke and it runs out the base of it. Even added dye to water and it leaks out of it. It’s a cheap press fit yoke.
@@MMolina95 sounds like you've done your due diligence. It sucks when you get bad parts.
@@nunya2814 yeah I’ve gone through 2 DS the current one leaks too, about to buy the sonnax yoke and be done with warranty replacements.
@@nunya2814 it even twisted the splines inside the yoke
Why do you clear coat the ends? Prevent rust?
To help prevent surface corrosion in general. -Landan
Thanks! @@latemodelrestoration
What brand of clear coat did you use or does it matter?
@@0foxgvn It doesn't matter. You can use any brand that is local and available to you. Any clear coat of your choice will work.
Man, I waited over 6 months for the Ford performance driveshaft, now your guna drop this shit on me lol is there any difference other then its and SVE brand?
Stick with Ford products you can't go wrong!
@@johndoe-zb8bmThey’re never in stock lol. I ended up buying summits version of the driveshaft and it’s served me just fine
The only difference between the two is how the yokes are welded to the tubing. The SVE driveshafts are mig welded and the Ford Performance driveshafts are friction welded. Other than that, they're spec for spec. -Landan
