ATTENTION! At 05:37 in the video, the torque specification is incorrect. The jam nuts needs to be torqued to 25-30 lb-ft. Thanks. -Landan

What size are the Girdle bolts? As well as the drain bolt , and cover mounting bolts?
It looks like the top fill bolt is a 10mm hex wrench, but the other bolts are smaller, and do not seem to be metric as well.As a 5-6mm wrench does not fit, a 5mm is too small, and a 6mm is too big

Cover to housing bolts - 7/32" hex
Upper fill plug - 10mm hex
Lower drain plug - 6mm hex
      Load bolts - 6mm hex
Load bolt jam nut - 19mm
For what it's worth, the Husky branded tools that I used in the video worked fine. Hope this helps! -Landan

The step at 6:34 is necessary. I didn't use any sealant and that plug leaked.

5:37 - This video says to torque the jam nuts to 10 ft/lb, but the LMR website says "Torque the jam nuts to 25-30 ft./lbs" - Which is the correct torque?

I said that wrong in the video. The website is correct. Thanks for asking. We'll add a pinned comment to the video indicating the proper torque specs. -Landan

Hi do I have to torque the load bolts? Can I just torque the jams nuts

Would defeat the purpose of buying the cover in the first place. It is a girdle. It is designed to support the bearing caps under load. Without the correct torque preload they are not serving their intended purpose.

@UCzJw4yqoRnSIZBige2p2uTw might have to talk to LATE MODEL RESTORATION for that information. I personally don’t know about the 2011-14 S197.
