      Hey there! Thank you for your business and for leaving a comment on the video. I haven't had the opportunity to work with the revised kits or software. Like anything hardware/software related, things will change in time. I would recommend scrubbing the manual to familiarize yourself with the revisions on the current kits. With that being said, I can get a new idea in our list, but I can't guarantee a release time. If you get stuck on anything, reach out to manufacturer of the Megasquirt. I did it a few times whenever I made this video. Hope this helps and thanks for understanding. -Landan

      ANGRY 408W if your a competent tuner there is no advantage with different EMS . Unless you need things like 2 step , anti lag , inputs for traction control , boost by gear etc ..... you don’t know what your taking about . I tune vehicles . Mega squirt vs haltech vs Holley vs Ecu masters etc..... all the same power if the tune is the same . The only downside to this particular ecu is that it is batch fire instead of sequential. Sequential is offered at still significantly less money than competitors.

    The body panels started in 1979. Why does “Fox body” start in 1986?
    I had a 1985 GT which was the last year for the Holley carb. Does that have something to do with it?

    • @houseofno
      @houseofno 5 лет назад

      This has nothing to do with body panels. this is for factory EFI 5.0 cars. The Mustang didn't get factory multiport fuel injection for the 5.0 V8 until 1986, NOT 1979. Might help if you actually watched the video. This isn't meant to be a documentary on the Fox body Mustang.

      @Richard Skipper lol a guess vs knowing. MAF wins every time in the knowing category.

      Both work, and Megasquirt can use both calculation methods. The best part is that you can use just about any maf. I have a newer GT500 maf in a fox body connected to megasquirt in a standard 3" tube that works great. My other megasquirt fox is speed density and also works fine. Just two different means to an end.

      @@latemodelrestoration Do I have any options if I want to keep my CFI unit? I have a 2bbl to 4bbl adaptor plate sitting between my Edelbrock Air-Gap intake manifold and my CFI, but the car won't run. Everything else is stock. AFR 165 heads are planned next.

      Lol seems like they're all failing. My 93 went bad ( water corrosion at pcm connector) and my cousins lost the fuel pump command. Then he seen a neighbor who had 2 fox bodys so he asked him if he had any, he said he needs one too!
