    I remember when I was circle tracking, I did alum axles, lighter wheels tires, eventually a 4130 chrome moly frame, alum engine parts,, heck, I even dieted and lost 20 pounds... Really. 😁 But I was #1👍

    I had the rear seat delete kit and then realized it's almost as heavy as the rear seat assembly 😅 Just gut it and tint the windows...instant "street car" 👍🏁 My "lightened" 83 GT weighs 2650

      @@matthewstephen2988 it's 2580 now 🤣 but anyway, here goes....front and rear metal bumpers removed(very heavy each), door crash bars removed,manual windows, radio removed,speakers removed, stereo wiring removed, all heat controls and venting behind dash removed, factory ac delete car, factory seats replaced with 15 lb race buckets, gutted interior (carpet, headliner,rear seat,all plastic interior panels,literally everything), original sunroof replaced with tin sheet (25 lb savings),manual steering, factory k member, factory brakes, factory fenders, door steel, hood (underside trimmed down), 15" front drag wheels (4.5") removed front plastic wheel liners, no front sway bar, 302 w/ iron heads and carbureted, t5 , no roll cage, all original glass except sunroof. Attention to detail everywhere and keeping it cheap. Hope this helps 🤘

    Love it! My 89 is fairly stripped, no headliner, carpet or rear Interior panels. Heater box is next

    Heck you could probably run an aluminum dryer vent around the turbo and plumb it to/from behind dash and get plenty of heat to the cabin without much weight at all. 😂

    Would have never thought that stuff weighed that much. Had been thinking about removing my heater box to relocate my terminator x to make the wiring cleaner.

    The front and rear bumper bars are gonna get you to your goal for sure. Don't forget all the cruise control junk if you have it and never use it

    I been looking for the right hardware for those rear seat brackets. If possibly can you tell me the thread count size as well as the bolt size(Torx)

    The tubular bumper supports are good mod for losing weight if you don't have them

      Ya not going to cut the frame rails out. They are mint. I do have a shitty lower rad support tho.

    3400 lbs ???? My coupe all steel power everything A/C the whole 9yards all factory only weighed 3036 with addition to aluminum heads weighs 2986 with half a tank of gas. Weighed on long acre racecar scales

      Yep my blk turbo car is even heavier. That’s 3400 with me in it. It lost 200+’lbs sense this video

    If you want to lighten up the car. What about buying a tubular k member kit? From say Team Z or UPR. You could probably lose 100lbs no problem to go with what your doing

      It’s got all the good stuff already suspension wise. There’s better out there but that stuffs been in the car

    I'll give you some advice on lightning up just take everything out of it and put it in a coop and you going to lose probably 300 lb so it'll go two or three tenths quicker

      @@Neomustangs that’s the only unfortunate part it’s so easy to lose weight in the back of these cars not so easy up front. Cutting the whole front end off and going with docol tubing saved us a lot on our new edge

      No sorry bud. Going to keep everything that comes out to go back in. It needed a new heater core anyways so its a good time to change.

      it varies.. and depends on how fast the car is really. When your in the single digits it takes a lot more to get a tenth vs a car in the 11s or so.
